Side on ? You mean something like this?
-
Sorry to hear that, looking forward to seeing them on the car. If you can't make a show this year with them on will we get a pic posted on here once they're fitted ?
-
Will they be on for next weekends show?
-
Well it certainly looks good on them, why not 8) You could of photoshopped them onto mine as well so I get a sneak preview :)
-
No I believe that at least in the ZW1 range you get either a 5 stud or 4 stud wheels. In my case an 8x17 ET60 5 stud and then you fit the appropriate RH adaptors to fit the vehicles PCD and to correct the offset. So with the correct adaptors they will fit 5x100 and have an ET of 35.
-
Wrong PCD sadly
-
Tyres are on now, sadly when I came to fit them I found they had sent the wrong adaptors, :( But new ones are on their way 8)
-
Coming on nicely now 8)

When looking at wheel options I tried a set of 17" Azev As on my VR6. The rims were 8" wide, admitedly the car wasn't lowered at this point but there were no actual fitment problems and they cleared the callipers comfortably.

Oh, that'll be a parcel for me then !
-
sorry typo £80 approx.

With any luck car should be at Edition 38 on the Sunday, and VW Action on Saturday. It is a work in progress so its not up to the owners desired standard as yet but you really don't see these cars very often anymore.

The 90mm spoliler is about 380 from GPC now :(

The wheels are factory BBS RS 070 7x15 ET16. They have a beautifully shaped dish and when you see the car in the metal you can't help but think they compliment the car perfectly.

This Scirocco belongs to a friend of mine Dave Freeman. I wanted the car my self having introduced myself to the then mythical one lady owner former keeper. I wasn't in a position to take on the 38k mile motor still running on its original Michelin tyres, luckily Daves first car was identical and he gladly took it on. Starting to look real good and will no doubt get better and better. 8)

I have used 215/40R16 which were fine.

Its a 1978 1.1LS. 39 thousand miles. Chromed bumpered retro :afro:

Not on my Corrado but on the Old School Polo. After years of leading a cosseted life its rebelling in its twenties

Bargain price for good quality work. Can't wait to see it lowered onto your secret rims.
-
Thanks for the advice, hope they go on without too much trouble (crosses fingers)
-
Thanks for the kind comments  , BBS wheels are an absolute design classic and complement many VWs perfectly and are without peer in my opinion. Perhaps the RHs will look equally good on the car? Either way i'm looking forward to seeing how they look, to give the car 2 separate distinct 'personalities' would be a result!

Cool 8) Looks a top quality job

Just had confirmation that my new daily use wheels have been delivered to a German intermediary and have now been despatched to the UK. Hope it will be worth the wait.

I have been fortunate enough to see the car in the metal and was really loking forward to seeing it. The car does not dissappoint, it has been very well thought out and superbly executed. I confess to not being a fan of the moved rear no plate and deleted fogs etc but its not my car and you can't fault the quality of its execution. That aside I think Lee has been brave and patient and produced a remarkable modded car which for a model whose owners are often quite conservative in the styling stakes is a triumph. The car was spot on in most peoples eyes before the makeover so this has clearly been a labour of love. Lee enjoy it now you deserve it.
on or off? opinions pls

In truth the car looks great in both pics, for me though as the spoiler doesn't make the car look any better I don't think it needs it. Without..
