I have nothing against modding any car reversible or not. You pays your money and so on... People can do whatever they want with their own property. My point was if you pay a premium to buy a Ltd Edition car with a definitive spec. you may as well keep it in that spec. If you are going to modd or change specs you will have choice of many more cars and perhaps save money at the outset by not paying a Storm premium. Ultimately condition and spec has more relevance to what someone is prepared to pay.
Give me a low mileage Storm over any Corrado any day, better spec'ed VR6's havent got that much more, air con, recaro seats, gauge panel, headlight washers, cant think of much more? and finding one with ALL that and low mileage is gonna be just as rare to find. and a high mileage one i think regardless of how well it might have been looked after, is still not as desirable, especially if he wants an investment
How much do you think they are going to be worth?

Ah, but therein lies the problem to modify a Storm in anyway defeats the purpose of paying the badge premium in the first place. Personal choice of course but I don't regard a specific spec ltd edition model as retaining that status once modded.

Good to meet you Henny. Top show great day out. Love the moving pic of the car, thanks 8)

They are stripped and polished, just got to keep on top of them and avoid salty roads at all costs. Better to have a spare set.
-
Its looking good, glad you've identified your running problem. :)
-
You know what I think, but for the record, love it. 8)

Beesting and rear wiper removed  and a stunning car all round.
-
Ish, certainly between the bands they do, might experiment further with green bulbs as was suggested on here. Passed its MOT without problems. :D
-
Brookesy, as OSV will tell you, that method of tinting the rear lights was my idea
This is true, credit where it is due I would have done it soild red without your advice. Thanks :D I did a slight tweek to yours Asim, once the masking was removed from the bands they were given a final coat of red which tones down the orange still further.

I'll have more grilles than George Foreman :D
-
I'm confident they'll both be v. cool but sufficiently different. Remind me not to look at either car when they're finished. I can resist everything but temptation.
-
As above Thanks John, they arrived this morning.
-
I like them but i'm trying to keep it very subtle and stock looking on the whole. If I go any further i'll end up being tempted to follow in A20LEE's footsteps. 8) and go with the flared arches and wide wheels, which is a look i'm keen on but i'm desparately trying to show some restraint :D

The headlamp surrounds were an issue. The car originally had a colour coded grille with the black light surrounds, which looked like 'panda eyes'. With the black grille added it made the fromt look like it had got a big hole at the front. IMO the light surrounds now help focus the black grille more effectively but I also have a new fully colur coded grille. It quite difficult with such a light coloured car as this area doesn't show up as much on the darker cars. I might colour code the top edge and outer edges of the black grille?

Updated. (still much to learn about photography)

I got 312 miles for just under £40 (47 litres) on the run down, Optimax. Makes a change from high cost local motoring stop start journeys.

Really pleased for you, been following your progress along with everyone else no doubt. You'll be able to really enjoy the weekend now! 8)

Red but get them done less heavy handed so they look O.E.

John, Mine haven't arrived yet either. :(

Lokking good, nice to see another C in Satin silver. I've just spent ages agonising over my wheels. I have a show set of BBS RS 301 split rims with polished rims and gold bolts, put them on the car this week ready for International and i'm not happy with the overall effect. I have put the stock RS 301s back on which I am pleased with. So what do I do with the show set. Dilemmas, might start a thread get some input from you guys.
(excluding Phat VR6 whose views on the subject are well documented  )

Velcro for me, no problems.

Good news, i'm pleased for you. hope everything is plain sailing from now on.

It certainly sounds like the stock bushes are the way to go then, with the benefits being the road noise issues and passive rear wheel steer.
It depends who is fitting the bushes. The poly ones can be done without the aid of a press and therefore without totally removing the axle.
Is is possible to fit the OE bushes without removing the axle from the car?
