  1. Ideally looking for an original beige parcel shelf. If you have a black or grey shelf that you would sell then I may also be interested in this as I could recover it beige. As long as it is uncut with no speaker holes. More funds available for a beige shelf though as it wouldn't need any work.
  2. The 996 has those issues. The main Boxster issue is IMS bearing. Vastly over egged though as an issue. In my opinion the issue is more prevalent in very low mileage cars that haven't been driven and had regular oil changes. I have owned 6x 986 3.2 Boxster S to date and never had any engine issues. I have covered approx 150k miles across all These cars. Indeed the most I have had go wrong is a flat battery. Always buy slightly below average miles with immaculate histories. Top of the market prices, preferring to put the money in at purchase rather than chase faults round the car. But at the under £5k level it can be somewhat a game of roulette. The more hands a car has passed through the more chance of an unsympathetic owner who has abused the engine/mechanicals and not maintained it properly. A well maintained 986 is a wonderful reliable thing.
  3. Hi mate,

  5. See my old Storm M964XSX (and my naked legs) make an appearance in on photo. That was the 25th Anni National Day in 2013. A lovely warm day as I recall
  6. and Nick you were definitely there. I remember we went down in convoy
  7. I was there in a green Storm, just not the green Storm that I own now!
  8. I am looking for one of these, new or used. I have an immaculate original VR6 airbox for part exchange if anyone looking for a quieter life fancies it?
  9. Has anyone got a spare one of these? They were produced bu a member on here and I have mislaid mine. In black ideally.
  10. great news that the car passed the mot and you're back on the road. The best Corrado colour combo obvs. Cant remember the last time I saw another one out on the roads
  11. I have always used my Corrados as daily drivers to a lesser or greater extent. Usually have owned another vehicle as well meaning that the risk was mitigated somewhat. But, generally the Corrado keys have been the first choice. In all that time Ive owned 9 VRs and only had one break down that required recovery. Plenty of flat batteries though
  12. Unfortunately I have just last week sold my immaculate VR airbox and filter for £50. There are some crazy prices being asked on ebay (one advert at £250!!) by proper comedians! They do come up fairly frequently as people stick BMCs on (as I did)

  19. Lovely sunny day yesterday so decided to take the Storm out for a drive around the Sussex villages. Was parked up having a coffee in Forest Row, chap pulled up in a current Range Rover. As he got out I could see him looking at the VR. He then came up and asked how old it was etc, so I refreshed his memory. He only departed as his family began to look miffed waiting for him to go into the restaurant. As he walked away his parting shot was lovely to see one in such good condition.
  20. Agree with much of what other posters have said. I havent used facebook in years and think this forum (along with the CCGB)is an excellent resource/community. However, it is definitely pretty quiet these days. I regularly look and aside from the odd parts request/sale there isn’t much happening. Then I think to myself that I dont post much these days either. A vicious circle! So, if anyone who has posted on this thread makes an effort to be more proactive then maybe we can generate aome footfall/energy?
  21. Still available. Perfect condition with nearly new filter. £50 collected or £62 posted.
  22. Thanks Jim, like I said would defo take one set if You can find them
