cheers m8 it looks like it is just coming out of one of the senders but I can't be sure until I take a closer look. Thanks for the tips!

cheers m8, I think I've found the leak. there seems to be a small amount leaking out of the oil filter housing. Not sure how I'm gonna fix it though :(
-
At the front of the VR6 engine? Has two connectors at the top? Looks like the oil filter housing or something like it?
-
Intake boot?? What / where's that then? All I know is I pulled off my Dads drive at the weekend after leaving it parked there for a couple of hrs & he pointed out a small oily patch. When I got home I noticed that there are a couple of small patches on my driveway. I placed a peice of cardboard under it straight away & left it parked overnite. Checked the cardboard next morning & there wasn't a drop there.

reach normal water temp

no need to drain it m8, its already burnt off the excess!! Its more the leak I'm worried about, I have no idea where to start looking for it!
-
Mine seems to take ages, at least 9-10 miles. Does that mean my thermostat is sticking or is that normal?
-
I did recently, now I have an oil leak!! Any suggestions?

Anyone know of any in the Leicester area? I'm thinking of having mine re-upholstered with leather, also any idea of what is a fair price?
-
nah I haven't had any new suspension since I've owned the car, which is about 18months. I was advised at the last MOT that my rear shock absorbers are close to a fail and also that my steering rack has some play but not enough to fail. I don't think that either of these things would effect the car's geometry i.e. wheel allignment

I had / have exactly the same prob m8 after having both front wheel bearings done & a full set of Pirrelli P7000's had the tracking done and camber & it still pulls a little to the left but then all cars will follow the cmber of the road hence it will always pull a little to the left or right depending on the camber of the road. I also had 2 none repairable puntures within 500miles of having my new tyres  What are the chances?!!

RainX is the muts nuts I reckon, once you've used it you'll never look back! A regular application is required depending on your washer addidtive, I use RainX additive and would recomend you re-apply about every 6 weeks, depending on wiper use & weather

My mate sorted mine at the weekend, was as simple as a relay fuse found in the passenger side footwell. I thought all the fuses were in the fuse board on the drivers side but obviously not! total cost to fix £0.00 Happy days!!

OK cheers, so is it best to adjust them when dipped or on full beam?
-
anyone have any ideas about headlight adjustments? I know how to adjust them just not sure where the beams should be pointing. If I set them so both near & offside are level on dipped, when I put my main beam on the nearside appears to be higher than the offside. If I adjust the mainbeam so they are level the nearside appears lower. Anyone got any tips? PS After fitting the uprated loom, a local plod commented on how bright my lights were the other night, he asked if I had my main beam on. I said no and that prehaps they were a little high. Didn't tell him (obviously) that I had 80/100 watt bulbs in :-P

Did you get it sorted yet then m8?

Can anyone tell me where I can find the ABS pump?
-
Good idea Gav, might try that later. The guy who did my matrix told me that when he had the dash out he noticed that the ABS light had fallen out so he simply put it back and now I have this fault. i could swear blind thta it was working fine before it went in. Could his work have done something to make this happen do you reckon?
-
I had my mate plug in a fault diagnostic thingmagig into my C and it reported a voltage fault at the ABS pump. I am guessing that the ABS pump is FUBAR anyone have any ideas? I believe a MK3 Golf ABS pump is the same?
-
my o-ring fell out the other day, I couldn't open the boot. Since the ring came out its been fine :D
-
Might try and just leaver the bugga off then, don't really care if it never works again so long as I can manually adjust it. At the moment I have a large amount of air blowing into nothing I just need to get it pointing at the screen.
-
VAG fault code indicates something to do with too much voltage at the ABS pump??!!

24mm long reach or just a normal one? I guess you have to remove the centre bit too? Haven't tried it yet but I suppose it just pulls off?
