1. Do you have a factor for the maintenance of the area, communal areas etc. If so it may be worth approaching them as such things will fall within their remit. there was a similar problem on the estate and it was dealt with quickly through them.
2. I bought a Roku stick. £30 from Argos and does everything I want from it. I previously bought a Now tv box on impulse when it was on sale in Asda and it is a total waste of time. Little more than a freeview box unless you pay to subscribe to their packages.
3. I have been kicking about the world for a wee while now and I’m bemused by what is going on. If you play cowboys and indians, sorry, Native Americans, you are guilty of Cultural Appropriation if you are a Native American character, or any other national dress for that matter. It seems that anything that can be thought of as a slight on anything is being picked up and used by do-gooders to control what you can and can’t say. When I was younger the use of a abbreviations was the norm so Pakistani and Chinese were abbreviated to those words I cannot speak. I await the day when to say Deli instead of Delicatessen is offensive. Government restrictions are becoming more and more intrusive into your everyday life that free choice is more and more limited, usually with a tax applied so that if you are a naughty person it gives the government more money to give themselves a pay rise or further subsidise their bars and restaurants. The democracy we think we live in is becoming more and more a dictatorship each day that passes.
4. Maybe these will be of some help
5. They are prone to distorting at the flange and cracking along the moulding line.
6. Why do you want to blow your neighbour up? Oh, wait, is it something to do with that S.E.X. thing. Must go and look that up, I vaguely remember something about it.
7. Four times retired and now writer and poet and occasional woodcarver when the weather is warm. Semi professional ant watcher and wine drinker.
8. There are two positions for the boot lock. If I remember right straight up and down opens with the central locking and horizontal keeps it locked until you use the key. Maybe worth a look.
9. Sounds really good as well.
10. Not too long to wait then. I got rid of sky due to the cost and bought one of those NOW tv boxes. gives you the sky entertainment pack for £7 a month or movies for £10. I don't subscribe and just use it for the catch up channels and You Tube if I feel the need for it.
11. Was the buzzer going off before you changed the sensors? I have a little worm in my head muttering that this may happen if the sensors are swopped over while changing them but it may be just me. In view of the cost I would be tempted to go back to where you purchased the sensors and try different replacements in case one of the originals was faulty. If that works you shouldn't have to pay for the originals. Better than replacing the pump and gasket then finding out it's not that.
12. It's basically an OBD2 plug in reader that links to an app on your phone. You require AA breakdown cover and an annual fee for it. Possibly, if you are OBD2 you could also use an ELM reader from about £15 and one of the on line apps to do the same thing.
13. I'm still alive and hanging about. Corradoless I'm sorry to say but still haven't cleaned the patch on the drive where she dumped some oil. Is it sad to stand and stare wistfully at an oil stain?
14. I embarrassed my self the other day after trying to screw in a screw that didn't want to screw in. Then I realised it was a mega rare Karmann designed left handed Corrado door handle screw. I have reluctantly decided to sell it. Offers over £2000 in used notes only will be accepted. If you are the Nigerian prince who keeps offering me millions this is an incredible opportunity to spend some of your excess cash.
15. I think the comments and suggestions on that thread were the only thing that kept me sane at that time. The little feckers were everywhere. I'm sure they were even opening the fridge and helping themselves.
16. Well, in reality the ants are gone but don't let she who thinks she is obeyed know. I still "have" to sit on the patio with a nice beer or red wine keeping an eye out for them. Duty and all that. I look in here most days to see what's happening and occasionally I'm able to chuck in a suggestion. Still hoping to reacquaint myself with Corrado ownership at some point.
17. I'm 70 and had my Corrado for 16 years until getting rid of it recently. Still hanker after another and don't think I'll be happy till I do. Biggest mistake I ever made.
18. This looks like the gizmo that was fitted to my1.8 KR.It reduced the flow to the matrix and rerouted it via the small hose in the picture into the return hose.
19. The recall was for a pressure relief valve to be fitted in the heater plumbing just before the matrix. If the pressure in the system got too high it diverted the flow from the matrix inlet to the outlet to reduce the pressure to the matrix. It is a completely different thing to the non-return valve initially mentioned. It was fitted to my 1.8 KR engine.
20. My 1990 1.8 didn't have speakers in the door and no wiring for them. Don't know what size speakers were in the dash.
21. On the 1.8 16v there is a fan run on sensor on the front offside of the cylinder head. Looks like a brass nut on a bracket with a brown wire. If this goes faulty the fan will run continuously. Disconnecting it should stop the fan.
22. Sounds very much as if the alternator is not charging correctly. While you have the tester out check its output while the car is running. It should be round 14 volts.
23. I can't really remember, it was a long time ago. I went into Halfords and browsed the selection they had there.
24. I have used these. Where the screw hole is near the edge of the plastic they can just be slipped on and they clip in place. If the hole is not near the edge or too far from it I cut it in half, put a blob of Araladite or similar on thread part of it and use the screw to hold it in place till the glue dries. This secures it in place allowing you to use the screw normally but supporting the old plastic. Hope this helps.
