1. It got put on a trailer and taken back to the farm I lived on. After a couple of days after fluid changes the engine was running like new, started on the second turn of the key. Next came the brakes and suspension bushes and other bits and bobs to make it road useable and became a weekend toy as the rest of it was worked on bit by bit. It went off the road that winter and had a complete respray. Just after that I came back to Scotland with it still needing a new hood and interior. It was sold for $15,000 Canadian (£7500) which was unfortunately stolen by my house which needed a new roof. It went like sh*t off a shovel but was afraid of corners and a bit reluctant to stop. I had a full disk brake conversion to go on it which would have improved that. Wish now I'd brought it back with me.
2. This is what I would describe as a barn find. Found on a farm in backwoods Ontario while I lived in Canada it was included in a bankrupt farm auction. I got it for $200 dollars Canadian. Most "barn finds" nowadays seem to be " I haven't touched it for a fortnight" kinda deals.
3. But does it have the rare Karmann interior? It also has 0 seats, that'll be an optional extra.

5. They've got to fund their expenses from somewhere, poor little downtrodden !"£$%^&*( that they are. Don't get me started!!!

Help!

I had a similar problem with my 16v. System pressurising, overheating and a slow loss of coolant. It turned out to be corrosion on the head gasket which was allowing cylinder pressure to seep into the water galleries. There was no sign of oil in the coolant or mayonnaise on the oil filler cap. A light skim of the head and new gasket sorted it out. While the head was off I replaced the stem seals, hydraulic lifters etc, not that they particularly needed done but seemed a good idea at the time. Most of the work was carried out on the dining room table which slightly annoyed she who thinks she is obeyed. Not sure where you are based in Glasgow but I used JR Volkswagen, Fulbar Road Paisley when I needed work done on mine. He has a few regular Corrado's that use him.
7. Spotted one on Wheeler Dealers - On the Road last night.
8. I can only apologise David, I didn't realise I would still be alive :) lol. I tried on various occasions to cease to be a burden on the state but have failed miserably. Though, to be fair, if I didn't have a private pension and had to rely on the state pittance I would probably be pushing up the daisies by now. I do seriously pity people trying to get onto the housing ladder, it is nigh on impossible, particularly if you live in London or the South East.
9. Resources were low and running out according to Mr Camoron prior to 18th September, however a week later :- [h=3]The Clair Ridge Field[/h]Off the West coast of Shetland is the Clair Ridge field. It contains an estimated 8 billion barrels of oil, with an estimated 120,000 barrels per day production at peak levels. To put this in perspective – the total stage two investment of £4.5 billion is the equivalent of nine Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. The value of the field is almost £300 billion. This is a single, yet highly significant field. In the 1970s, when it was identified, it was outwith the reach of drilling companies. With advances in technology deeper drilling is now possible, which will boost tax income for an independent Scotland. Other fields off to the West of Shetland and the Atlantic are predicted to overtake North Sea production in future decades. I implicitly trust our politicians every word as the whole and solemn truth. NOT
10. Is the bulb in the right way? I'm pretty sure they are polarity sensitive. If you are in there again it may be worth while using one of the other bulbs you know are working to replace the headlight and confirm it's not just a duff new bulb.
11. Hope this helps
12. Try taking the ISV off and giving it a good clean through with carb cleaner. Don't be tempted to stick screwdrivers or such into it though.
13. The white part unclips from the cluster then the black strip unclips from that. Then you can remove the bulb from the white strip and replace it. The bulb has one leg with a bend in it, make sure the new bulb goes in the same way. Easy way into it without physically removing the whole cluster here. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=46064&highlight=%2Binstrument+%2Bpanel+%2Bblub
14. Congratulations on the pass. I took a copy of the workshop manual pages with me when I moved house and went to a different MOT station and left them on the passenger seat. That's good info on checking for stub axle wear, never knew that.

16. Not any more Kev. Australia is not known for pussyfooting about. It will be interesting to see how this develops. http://home.bt.com/news/worldnews/australia-thwarts-beheading-plot-11363933079298
17. Assuming a Yes vote. I don't see the labour etc MSP's withdrawing as they are elected within Scotland, plus they are addicted to their salaries etc.. There will probably be a knee jerk vote against those parties who campaigned against independence. Who knows? That's a wait and see till 2016 when elections would take place. Assuming a No vote we'll get Conservative or a Conservative coalition anyway. As long as whoever is in charge I hope they don't make ants a protected species!!
18. Don't panic Kev, if it happens I'll smuggle some down any time I manage to get through the checkpoints and border patrols. I'll maybe have to study up on how to get past the guard haggis. :)
19. A valid point, though people in Ireland do not pay licence fees but receive BBC programmes as a block fee is paid by their government to the BBC. Wouldn't miss it too terribly to be honest as I don't watch much telly but the recent coverage of the referendum by the BBC has only put me off more. Have a close look at the No flag in this picture from the BBC website.
20. Real ales for general nights in the pub. Red wine when it's free at literary thingys. Mix of Red wine or bottled ales at home dependant on the mood though always red wine when on ant watch. The occasional single malt, the older the better, when I decide to treat myself.

22. I hate this Pigasso. (Intentional misspelling) I want a Corrado again. Please Mr lottery, save me from hell and damnation. That digital display speedo thing is a total distraction, flicking away in the corner of your eye and you're afraid to go round corners in case it falls on it's side.
23. Nuclear weapons are an aberration and self defeating. If they are ever used then basically that's it - end of story. We have them so we can say we are a nuclear power and are just a launch base for NATO and the USA. They're a bit like owning a Lamborghini on an island with no roads, expensive to maintain and nowhere to use it. Great movie set in Sheffield from a few years ago paints a pretty grim and accurate picture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AUYCnzmDJY
24. Did this from a pic using some feature in Paint, thought it came out quite well.
