  1. hehe realized that the chip itself wasnt pushed down all the way! works fine now, though I am sad to say that my power took a turn in the unhappy direction... =-(. its ok I will get gas milage, and pass my smog/MOT test! then comes the SNS 5.5 and 42# injectors!
  2. got my ecu today in the post, took it apart to make sure all was well on the internals. tried to install it, all I got was the click clack of the number 80 relay. sanded everything down on the mounting plate to make sure it was grounding out, nothin. checked all the fuses, nothin was wrong there. took it out again and installed my old one. bang starts right up... kinda thinkin I got a bad ECU now... took the thing apart, the actual ECU has a notch on the side, the spot in which it goes also has a notch on the side. these notches are supposed to line up correct? I am gonna give this a few more goes before I try to get my money back. I need help as this thing wont create spark in the engine. I tested to make sure it was spark btw. anyone got anything?
  3. drove by the mech shop, got one (they just finihsed work on a VR6 the previous day), got a long stare from the performance place, loved both of em!
  4. excellent! that means the new ECU should fix things?... are you guys sure about this.... cause this is another thread where this guy is trying to adjust the air to fuel... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 164#284164 I also have unburnt fuel (blackness) all along the exhaust and in the cat as well... I am not sure but I think ure supposed to adjust the ratio with the co pot... I guess what I am trying to say is that I am burning too much fuel for not going anywhere that quickly... can I do this with the co pot, or do I have to rely on the ECU and lambda sensor? I know you can adjust it manually, I just need to know how to do it...
  5. ok, how do I adjust? let me guess, Use the Bentley?
  6. C. Will Corrado G60 2, HAHA I know the feeling! btw is that a FMIC I see? and kevhaywire, you lucky sod.
  7. ok as we all know corrados have their issues here and there. one issue people bring up all the time is are they running too rich or are they running to lean. I have been one to realize that I am running too rich all the time. I would like to know if anyone has a archived thread of how to adjust the air to fuel ratio. If not will someone go through the steps with me? How do I adjust the air to fuel ratio on my 1990 US G60? now I expect all the moderators to wake up cause its 2 in the morning there and because they have little implants in their heads telling them *new post*... cheers fellas get some sleep. :)
  8. riiiight, that would be plenty of good techno and the streets, cause thats the only UK band that I know that I listen too....
  9. 17000 US I have you all beat, and remember I am in college! I paid for every penny of it too! thats 9300 uk pounds, its pretty much a brand new corrado though. there are 2 things that havent been replaced, the charger and the oil sump.
  10. and to add to his question, does messing with the CO sensor change the fuel ratio?
  11. .... ah this almost brings a tear to my face, exactly the shape mine was in when I first got it. Now that I have invested 8500 uk pounds into it its in tip top shape, good for another 15 years! I have a US G60 tho...
  12. 20W 50 castrol syntec blend, same as your satin silva or something like that I believe...
  13. well thats good, it will give me an excuse to get a nice aluminum sump at the same time!
  14. car running like sh|t = normally the ECU in the states.... =-/
  15. it has hard started a long time, in saying this I mean I had to try more than once to start it when cold. is it possible that this sqeeking is the exhaust rubbing on the heatshield and 3000 rpms is where its quick vibration creates annoying squeek sound? dunno i thought I heard it coming from the middle of the car one night, could be me tho, the only reason why I think this is because it only does the sqeek once the car is warmed up, like 10 mins of driving....
  16. all I got to say is you should have a spare ECU laying around.... =-)
  17. the greatest thing in the US is that I get stares all the time, from everyone! they look at the car like, "what the Fu| the little teens look at it like "whoa cool car!" the early adults look at it like "wonder if they'll ever make that car again" the stupid honda racers look at it like "wow that car is cool, where can I get one" , at this point they go into a VW dealership looking to buy a new VW corrado because they think its new! f-in idiots! my VW dealer said they knew people who wanted to buy my car, 10 people in one month said they saw a red corrado fly by them and they wanted one.... wonder who that was..... hehehe! the old blokes look at it like.... "stupid kids" =-)P byte me old timer! wax it and it gets more looks.... severely. cant wait till I'm done with it! spent about 8200 UK lbs right now on fixing it and restoring... =-) I know I am nuts, I am also a college student... yeah money = goes to my car... 24/7
  18. porbably more oil.... more on left turns than right turns... but is still lowers to about 50 on right turns.
  19. when I go in a straight line, the oil pressure stays fluent at about 75 psi, about 5.2 bar. the oil pressure sender is located on the side of the head. when gassing it around turns the oil pressure goes down to about 30 psi or 2 bar, I feel that something is wrong here, anyone know of anything?
  20. sounds like a plan, I'll check the timing, but it was set by a very well know prestigious garage, can they jump teeth? I havent ever seen that happen before but you never know.
  21. yeah they are different on each side... I know but I am going to fix that tomorrow.... I dont know why its 3 turns instead of 3.5.... maybe that because of the uber long tie rod... I dunno
  22. wow that looks insane!
