  1. never mind, forget what I said, get a new gear driven speed sensor for your tranny, yours is fried or is broken. and it did kick in at 6800 ure speed sensor was picking up the rpms to be 5500 when they were actually 6800. your MPG is up there because your car is over registering where it is going I think. part number is 02A 409 197 for the pinion and gor the guide its 02A 409 193. replace these 2 things you should be fine. rebuilding the charger is great and all but you really need a smaller pulley to feel the difference. drive it for 1000 miles and then put on a pulley. cheers. same thing happened on my buddies '93 RX7 changed it, it was fried.
  2. get ready for this, you have a major power loss? well guess what, your key has sheared! cause mine did as well, it does make the crank bolt come loose. I paid 900 US to get it fixed. do it yourself, use threadlock and a DX bolt. you also need a new crank pulley for the timing belt. its a lovely little thing, do it soon or your valves might go. like henny's did. mine were ok tho

  4. check your relays, and fuses, I am guessing fuse is cracked, but it should have blown by now. buy a bentley manual =-)

I talked to john betz for you guys and he told me to tell you to call him, just ask for john, I have been looking into this for some time and he kinda permanently knows my e-mail address and who its from. he said the gears will turn blue once oil is cut off and will melt, then the screws will start to melt but thats if you are running it for a while. yeah you guys should give him a call make sure you get a reciept and send it back though, he said they will look at it for you.
  7. all I have to say is 3 weeks.... I am doing the 16V conversion too so it will be throwing around 275 hp once I am done at about 16 psi. I have other mods too so yea. Red=Fast have you gotten into contact with BBM, mailto:[email protected] should be able to help you guys out, they are moving right now to bend, oregon so I dont know what they sitch is. does the pulley move at all, one bit? if its a full seize that sucks. you need to take it back out and shake it around, if you cant get a hold of BBM, I would suggest taking the charger apart but you should have no problems getting ahold of them. honestly you need to get it dealt with ASAP, how much did you buy the charger for, it was apparently used. good luck hope to see you guys some day.
  8. VeeDubbed I am looking for a drop in conversion, create a 2D image of what you are talking about, also offset the small end bushes? what is that? What I want to do it take out my rods and pistons, either put in different rods, same length, or keep the existing rods. I want to use pistons that I can just put onto the rods and be able to use 16V head on car. modifying pistons doesnt seem safe for the amount of boost I am going to be running this car at. 2E pistons would require an overbore on the case, as they are 82.5 mm instead of 81 mm. VEEDUBBED I like the idea of modifying the top of the piston but offsetting the bushes doesnt sound right for some reason... PM me with a pic of some sort so I can get an idea what you are talking about.
  9. ok so forget the 50mm intake manifold, I would make a chopped down one before I spent that much... ghee60 how much can you get 8.5:1 forged pistons that will work in a G60 block for the conversion? BTW I am in US so shipping will be like a month via royal to USPS. thanks.

  11. ok so I am building on of these. http://www.bahnbrenner.com/media/php/16v.php and they want me to buy their low compression pistons.... 700 US. well I have heard a rumor or 2 that Audi S2 pistons will work for the conversion... not sure if thats true or not. what I was wondering is if anyone had an S2 piston, or a pic of one that they could post or compare with these. http://www.bahnbrenner.com/media/php/ca ... &catid=116 cant see them as well as you could before so I am trying to get a better pic from BBM. but does anyone know if this will work? EALW&Nav=6 and this for a crank http://www.bahnbrenner.com/media/php/ca ... p?pid=1036 hope it will work, I could use a standard G60 crank because they are forged too but I want everything pretty much maxxed out.

I bet you lost a piece of metal in the charger..... when you were putting it on something could have gotten inside the black pipe.... if BBM wont do anything take it apart yourself. buying a new charger, just the screws is 1500... lets just hope... I am about 3 weeks from buying one of those so I hope it gets figured out.

  14. which relay is it that controls the headlights and the heater. when I turn the car off the heater stays on with the headlights, its a relay of some sort in there. I have heard of it being a problem before.
  15. thats so bad dude that sucks. no its not an airlock, I think they are right, I need a fan, and quickly cause I am in need of my car. it really funny I am having trouble fixing my coolant problems and my friend is buying me a lysolm with money he is getting from a car crash settlement, 2500 for a charger when I cant even figure out why my car is running hot.... idiot, just say it.

  17. yeah my fan is crapped out, I need a new one. should i buy new flanges? I dont see them leaking though or any coolant residual anywhere. I am going to buy the jabbasport fan just cause its cool and I need a new one. I will probably rewire the whole system too just because mine is wierd and junky. anyone got a good wiring diagram?

    G60 problem

    could account for rich mixture, G60's have something called AFC or air flow control, basically the pulses of air that are sent to the ECU tell the ECU what to do and if its broken or split there will be a lack of air and therefore a change in how the ECU acts. check ure O2 sensor for rich mixture, also look at your FPR to see if its in range.

  21. ... too rich for my blood, I am going back to the 180F thermo asap, along with the jabbasport fan. fans in US cost 170 and they are still aftermaket. jabbasport is 150 plus ship and waiting a month.
