  1. Sitting at 37.4 at the moment... i think the longer drive to work on dual carriageway is helping. Getting near to 600 miles to a tank if i dont get over zealous with the loud pedal

    RSR outlet

Im going to be doing a lot of work on the charge and cooling side of my G60 in the next week. Does anybody have a RSR outlet (BBM or similar) that they no longer need?? Regards, Owen
  3. What fitment are these??? Im after anything that isnt VR6 (i do believe all the others are the same) If the price is half decent ill take them in a week or 2 when i get back from mexico
  4. Is there anybody near the Poole/Bournemouth area willing to give mine a quick going over?? I have an OBD1 (2+2) connector
  5. im gonna have to pay the bank manager a visit in the morning i think
  6. Im after a complete passenger mechanism minus the motor... also the rollers for the driverside if they are there... I have both windows starting to not close all the way
  7. Split in the piping for rear wiper water jet??? it runs down that side
  8. give me a shout some time... there are a few of us that meet up on Wednesday nights, always 3 or 4 Rados there... were working on getting a few more
  9. We have a fair few around here... have counted about 15 in total recently
  10. This should take you to one that is being done... Its so wrong to do it in my opinion.... but each to their own http://s7.zetaboards.com/tidyvag/topic/8380478/1/
  11. i would try to clean the contacts on the relay first and check the fuses... if that doesnt work then replacing the relay would be your best bet
  12. I had a similar situation with my G60 a couple of months ago. Tried everything to get it going... it even spent 2 weeks in with a VAG specialist to no avail... swapped everything spark and fuel wise out including the ECU. Nothing worked for it :( After having it returned home by the garage... they didnt charge due to not fixing it, my mate came round with his VR and suggested we try jump leads one more time to see if it would work.... Nearly fell over when it sprang into life... guess it just needed some Rado company to make it feel better :D
  13. Bet you grinned like a Cheshire cat when it started :) Just the sound of it going would have made you forgive it for all its sins
  14. My reciept box has done its usual hiding trick... have the receipts from the last week... totaling £642. some of this was undoing work done by a garage... asked them to change my belts and pulleys... they ended up doing my charger one too  I only found this when going for a 'quick drive' a week later and the car felt veery sluggish ad was developing nowhere near enough boost... got it in the workshop and checked the pulley size... 78mm  thats another £75 down the drain to get a new pulley and belt from gwerks :bonk:
  15. a bit of imagination and it will fit :D
  16. This is a fraction of the price of the one you found £34 inc postage http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VR6-VR-6-Rear-Badge-Golf-MK3-Corrado-NEW-Genuine-RAR-/370541170272?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5645f98e60
  17. one of the best routes i have seen for a G60 engine is the BBM twin screw charger... the complete kit is about £2K and can be bolted straight on... I know its not the route you were aiming for but the performance from this method is a lot more reliable than a charger turbo combo
  18. we all have those 'special' moments now and again :D
  19. only one correction from what i have read... the pipe from the intake to the ecu needs to be 1m long (100cm)
  20. early motrs work just off a toggle switch in the headlining and have a 3 pin connector. Late motors have a 5 pin connector and work off a toggle switch plus a button you have to hold whilst operating the switch to get the tilt function to work. I have 2 late spec motors available if this is what you need
  21. My aqua blue G60 I keep being accused of having mis-matched panels due to the effects of light on the paint.
  22. i am in need of the front subframe with the engine mount... can either buy it direct from you or if someone takes the lot would like first dibs if theyre selling this
  23. i have been in a couple of G60's recently and they all seem to behave in a similar way. In my one when driving around normally my boost gauge measures a either a slight amount of vacuum or a slight amount of boost. when i stamp on the loud pedal i get somewhere in the region of 1.5 - 1.8 bar of boost. I think you will find this is a similar story for most as at low throttle most of the boost is recirculated out of the throttle body back into the charger (or to atmosphere if you have deleted this function). At large amounts of throttle the butterfly on the back of the throttle body is closed so boost is no longer recirculated hence the higher boost readings
  24. Collected my cosworth front mount inter-cooler the other day... also got my pipe work to fit it. All for less than £80 was an absolute bargain. when my cross-member comes back from being blasted and plated im going to fit it all in one go. New 68mm pulley coming from Gwerks as mine went walkabouts when i had the belts and pulley changed (garage changed all of them and all the belts) thought they would have spotted the difference between the old and new Also made up a headlight loom kit and mounted it in a sealed box so it cant get wet Hopefully it can all be done this weekend
  25. i would have got irate at that point and leathered it with a hammer :bonk: rather you than me
