    what is this?

the O2 sensor can be adjusted in conjunction with your idle screw to get the idle and fueling correct.... unless you have a CO2 probe and know how to check your timing i would advise that you get a mechanic to do it... preferably a VAG specialist who deals with a lot of the older models (newer VAG specialists are not a lot of cop IMO)

    what is this?

that is your lambda/O2 probe i would not recommend you adjust this at all. Also get a standard air box back on it as after market filters are not the best thing for your charger. I notice you have had a boost return delete kit put on... it looks like the one for sale on ebay... i would check that the plate on the charger seals properly as you dont want to be sucking crap in through any gaps.

    G60 rocker cover

Hi guys, Im after a spare rocker cover for a PG engine, so i can get it either polished or painted(not decided yet) I looked into the golf ones and it appears the breather and oil cap are the opposite way round. Not too concerned about the cosmetic condition of it as i will be playing around just as long as it isnt cracked or warped. regards, Owen
  4. it has to be a G60 one im afraid... there are several for sale atm on ebay
  5. Well it's about the only thing I haven't had to do yet... Keep an eye on my build thread for a cosworth FMIC coming in the next few weeks
  6. i must be one of the few who has never had the matrix replaced :D Its about the only bit that has worked throughout the last 20 years of its life with no replacing
  7. next part of the project is a Front Mount Intercooler... have decided on a Cosworth one as it is small enough to fit infront of the radiator and behind the front grill with no modification... just need to make up the pipework for it... pics will follow as i do it
  8. spotted 2 VR's in the space of about 5 seconds, both went booting past me last night.... one was grey and one was burgundy.... bearing in mind i was doing a fair speed they made me feel a little small the speed they went past
  9. did min a month ago previously i had just changed my policy for the remaining few months from my old golf VR6 to the G60... was about £150 more for the last 5 months.. got my quote with all work declared £477 fully comp :thumbleft: was actually quite shocked as i have had 3 points on it aswell now... suppose it is just luck as to what you get quoted had had it before where i get one quote then phone the same insurer and speak to a different operator and get a completely different figure
  10. already done the earth wire... is only some thin padding stopping the switch sliding into the dash
  11. mine does this and it turns out it moves itself back into the dash as the clips are wearing out.. would try to pop it out and see if it works outside the dash. i have padded the hole to keep it in the correct position
  12. am getting on of these... get a feeling i will need it

    G60 De-cat pipe

Hi guys, Im after a De-cat pipe... does anybody have a decent one or know where the best place would be to source one. Thanks in advance, Owen
  14. Thanks to rodmax for a few random trim peices Timdoc for a fog light cap Daniel for a relacement ecu Future thanks to skinnyman9000 for the first aid kit
  15. the factory hoses mist oil from the engine breather on top of the rocker cover to the second inlet of the charger. there is also a second small braided hose that comes from the engine to the charger to lubricate other parts. if you wish to remove the boost return you must put a filter on the ISV pipe, disconnect the original hoses, then put a blanking plate on the second charger port. There are 2 ways of dealing with the mist from the engine breather, one is to run a pipe from it down to ground so as not to cover the bay in oil, or run a pipe from the breather to the blanking plate on the charger (I have opted for the second option so the charger still recieves the oil mist)
  16. this is going to sound insulting but... next to your headlight switch there is a thumb wheel try turning that one way or the other... it dims the dash illumination
  17. Had a nose around underneath thanks to my grandads pit in his garage... found a rust hole the size of a tennis ball in the front cross member, drop link bushes are near enough non-existant.. luckily i have a spare cross member which is being shot blasted and plated as we speak... new drop links on order now should be able to replace by wednesday. Hope that solves my wheel wobble
  18. i would agree completely with stonejag on this... i am still sorting my G60 out after the previous owner neglected it.... finding something new each time i take it out... latest being a whole load of bushes that need replacing and a rust hole in my front crossmember that i can fit a tennis ball in
  19. I think the title says it all... I have been spending numerous hours searching through sites around the world to find elusive parts. Recent experiences from one particular Ebay seller has me concerned... drumologist18... i have bid on several of his items recently, a lot of them went for 99p + P&P, after paying for them i get an email from paypal saying the seller can no longer provide the items. This would be fine if it was just the odd item, but then to see that items have been re-listed, well that really gets me, blatantly refusing to sell items at an auction if he/she deems them to have sold too cheap, makes me sad and the job of finding parts at a reasonable price all the harder. Here endeth my rant, Owen PS: mods please move this if i put it in the wrong section
  20. PM me an email that i can send the payment to using paypal.... will sort you out in the next couple of days
  21. all depending on his price... if its too steep then ill pass it on... PM me with price including postage
  22. thats the uk equivelant... some had english on them some had german. it does the job for what im after... as im sorting mise as a show car judges love stuff like that if its original :D
  23. I would check out vwspares they seen to be best and very similar price to euro car parts and gsf
  24. It's all up to you what you do. I have only stuck with jabba as they have done all the work on the car before I had it
