  1. Probably rule out driveshaft bolts if it did it when you tried it back home when stationary. I'd be inspecting chains to begin with, as what you've already thought is probably along the right lines mate. :(
  2. Another one for Kip! Sent him a PM asking out of interest when he was likely to post a couple of bits out as I wanted to book my retest. He obviously made extra effort to get them out straight away, and items are in excellent condition and were well packaged to boot. Really impressed with the service provided, and couldn't recommend him enough! Thanks again mate! :thumbleft:
  3. Where are you based? Apart from a galaxy far far away of course! Lol. Also do you/anyone know if the foams are the same shape early to late? Thanks, Sean.
  4. Take the controls out and check the brass contacts at the rear of the dial itself. They are getting old, and as they're spring contacts they can loose their springyness! A bit of gentle persuasion with a small flathead May well do the trick!
  5. Funny you should say about the starlet, I was out in a friend's GT a few weeks ago. Some poncy git pulled alongside in a 370z at the lights, and frowned as if to say "you got no chances!" We battered him off the lights, then did the same at the next set when he pulled up again with his angry face, revving like a good un!
  6. Looks to be sticker bombed........
  7. Looks good! Ive got a badgeless grille I want rid of in place of a standard one. If your willing, and yours is in reasonable condition (one of the three top fixing tabs on mine is broken), fancy a straight swap?
  8. Ok, Cheers Paul. PM me your info and I'll get payment straight over mate. Cheers!
  9. Interested in the N/S headlight Kip, do you by any chance still have the ABS light too? Cheers, Sean.
  10. https://www.bespokeoffers.co.uk/consumer/offers/save-5p-per-litre-off-any-fuel-at-shell--fdf9d Valid until 31st May up to 50l.
  11. Alright mate, do you have a late N/S headlight in good condition and a late ABS light? Price posted please! Cheers!
  12. Due to MOT failure (see members gallery), I need your best price on a set of late headlights, although N/S (passenger) would suffice. I also need a late ABS light/display as mine has been butchered at the back. (Lamp included if possible!) Prices posted to Fareham, Hampshire would be much appreciated, Thanks guys!
  13. Ok so just got back from MOT............................................failed. :( On the plus side, I think its all easily fixable. Failures are; Nearside Headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect. - New headlight needed, the way he explained it was the beam was scattered. Its obviously the reflective coating inside the headlight has broken down, so needs replacing ABS warning lamp does not illuminate. - I knew it would probably fail on this, so a replacement lamp is required as it has been butchered from behind. The pedal pulses on start-up, so thats good, and the ABS system seems to be working when I jump on the brakes at 30 mph, so hopefully its just the lamp. There is some history around the ABS system, so hopefully its just a backshot of that as components were replaced back then. N/S rear tyre has a lump. - Didn't notice this tbh, new tyre will sort that. Advisories; Slight Oil leak. - Yeah I know that, sump gasket and chain cover leaking, that'll come shortly. O/S headlamp aim poor. - Will replace this as well. I had to bodge the adjuster with some Epoxy Resin as the plastic around the thread had broken, but I may as well replace it for peace of mind. Not the end of the world, and I was very impressed with emissions so at least the engine is healthy! Post in the Wanted section for all parts required shortly.
  14. You'll see a little plastic insert on the base of the plastic on your key if you have an immobiliser. (Mine is a red insert). I don't know if it was a factory option, but I'm convinced I had one on my old Valver.....
  15. It'll be a bit of grit on the indicator cancel mech. As mentioned, take the wheel off and wipe round the ring and all will be well again!
  16. So would a single car respray be considered "prolonged use" then? I'll very much be considering whether to do mine myself over winter, or saving for a bit longer to get it done professionally in a year or so..... Very useful thread and lots of good info here, thanks all!
  17. Get stuck in mate! I'm sure you'll get a few good deals on parts down at DDS! Keep us posted. :thumbleft:
  18. My Valver burn't zero oil, and that was on 175k when it was totalled. As said have a look in the insurance section, seeing as you'd planned it to be a weekend car anyway, limited mileage would be a very good bet and bring the premiums down massively on a classic policy.
  19. Dont be too disheartened, His must have been tuned, and he probably went home thing 'bloody hell, I had a 20 year old Corrado VR6 reeling me in'!
  20. But what was it you were playing with!?
  21. Is it Genuine or an OE Replacement? What would you be happy to sell for?? :norty:
  22. Is it an early type (fibre?) or late (rubber?), as I need the later type whichever it is mate. If so, how huch do you want posted? Cheers buddy!
  23. It'll be a 1.8 16v being before 1992. Have a look below for more info on buying mate. Welcome to the forum! http://wiki.the-corrado.net/the_corrado_buying_guide_checklist.html
  24. Thats the problem, there is no bulb! The whole of the back end of the light unit is missing! As of March this year, its now a failure for it not to illuminate and follow the correct sequence. According to the VOSA directive, it was just an advisory before.
