  1. This is 40. Not bad tbf and quite funny. Quite a lot of boobs as well which always adds to the enjoyment! :norty:
  2. Sign up on VAGCAT, and go to the catalogue. You can see everything you'll need in picture and part number form then as well.
  3. A five and a half K Corrado really should be a mint example, even in Storm form imo. Personally I think its overpriced if it needs work, especially bodywork.
  4. I recorded it and watched it earlier. I don't know why but I was a little disappointed. I suppose as mentioned above that everything now seems a little trivial. The same problems on every car so its just getting a little boring I suppose. Not a very good profit made either considering...........
  5. Looks like every other electric concept that every other manufacturer has "drawn up". If they do bring it into production, I can guarantee that it will look nothing like this.
  6. The moon roofs also kinda bubble shape, so it just doesnt look right imo. Id say stick to standard too.
  7. Dave, does it say on the bottle it can be mixed though? Not sure I'd go off the word of a sales assistant at TPS is all.
  8. Keep it cleaned and conditioned. It will keep the leather nice and supple, and avoid the cracking that happens over time when the leather dries out. This is v.good stuff. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/gliptone-liquid-leather-conditioner/prod_210.html
  9. Stage 4 is recommended 30k by Jabba iirc Think its all on their website mate.
  10. AG Vinyl and Rubber care is ok, but won't last all that long especially in winter. You get what you pay for tbh. The best two on the market imo, are either Gtechniq C4 http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/gtechniq/c4-permanent-trim-restorer.aspx or Carpro Dlux http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/carpro-cquartz-dlux-30ml-kit-for-wheels-and-plastic-trim.php?manufacturers_id=66 Both will outlast almost anything on the market, and the finish is absolutely superb. They are ideally used for exterior plastics, but will last a long long time! (1-2 years dependant on usage of the car.) You only need a tiny amount though, and it goes a very long way. Other favourites for engine bay specifically (although can be used on exterior/interior plastics and trim) is 303 Aerospace. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/303-aerospace-protectant/prod_366.html Its a bit cheaper, and won't last as long, (although alot longer than anything you can get in Halfords) hence the reason its only really used by the pros on the bay.
  11. I would have been absolutely devastated picking that up! what a waste!
  12. Tears for Fears - Shout, or Everybody wants to rule the world.
  13. You've got to remember that a "full" service that dealers/garages will charge you an absolute fortune for, are mostly made up of "inspecting", which is where they like to make even more money from you! Have a look at previous sevice history to see whats been done, but as a matter of course, its worth changing fuel filter, plugs and leads. (in addition to oil and all filters). You mentioned the coolant was changed recently so that should be ok. PAS and Brake fluid are probably well worth changing too, as these are the most likely to have been ignored previously. Fuel filter and leads may not need doing right now, but if they are the originals (or even just very old) they can give you grief at a minutes notice! Its just preventative maintenance. If your chains are starting to rattle a bit louder than you think they should, thats the time to start saving for them to be changed! Other than that, its just simple greasing routines and as mentioned, inspection of other components. Everything regarding servicing and what should be carried out at the correct intervals can be found in the wiki section iirc, or should be in your handbook
  14. "If money were no object i'd need a hanger - not a garage!" - So true! 1. Early 911 Carrera RS 2. Lambo Countach 3. Lancia Stratos 4. E-Type Jag 5. Opel Manta! I don't know why the Manta has made it, but I always loved them when I was younger and thought something a little more run of the mill (and affordable!) should be included!
  15. All is explained in the linked thread mate, would cost twice as much to bring it up to a standard of one already roadworthy. Honestly I'd look elsewhere mate.
  16. Fair enough then. :thumbleft:
  17. Is it a garage that you know and trust? Seems a bit suspicious that 3 driveshaft bolts are missing, then three days later they other 3 let go! I'd be taking it somewhere else for a second opinion on everything if it were me..............
  18. I used a set of right angled circlip pliers. Turn with one hand, push with the other. Worked a treat!
  19. If you unplug the MAF and go for a spin, it should be immediately obvious if its at fault, as performance and response will be far better! Your MPG will nose dive, and it may cut out eventually when the engine warms up, but you should get an idea. Idle should be fine with it disconnected. I think crank sensors generally give in when the engine is warm too. If you can identify it, give it a little wiggle on the connector where it enters the lump. This is the area that has the most stress, and with constant hot and cold exposure, they get very brittle, and the insulation breaks down causing the wires to short.
  20. Probably worth changing all the gear linkage bushes. They are really cheap and pretty easy to fit, and as its only a couple of gears, and also the same movement on the selector mechanism as it being 3rd and 5th, this is most likely the case imo.
  21. Does it rise when in traffic or stood still? If it does, but drops down again when in motion it would point to a faulty stat.
  22. You need to go the opposite way with this! smaller wheels, New coillies but to raise it up a bit, and remove the r36 badge and put on an sdi one or something! You can really show the young uns up at the lights then, and keep them thinking "WTF!" :thumbleft:
  23. Here is a guide I did for my golf3, it's all the same though. http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=204972.0
  24. Don't think you can get a paper one tbh. Jetex do cotton ones if you don't want foam though. had a Jetex panel filter in the valver. I Check out their website, worth a look at least. http://www.jetex.co.uk/website/jetexfilters.php
  25. Yeah I had a CAT2 preclusion fitted to my valver, but couldn't find and didn't realise the certificate was mixed in with the paperwork when I got it. Originally insured through Adrian Flux without it being certified, then updated and amended when I found the Certificate and posted them a copy of it. :thumbleft:
