  1. Hi Mods, Tried the search but no conclusive answer. Sent messages don't always seem to show in my sent box, do they have to be read by the recipient before they will show, anyone else find that they have sent a PM and then are not sure if it delivered or not... Edd
  2. To be honest James I don't think my price range is unreasonable at all, as I mentioned before I just sold a very adequate VR6 that had previously had a full £4k engine rebuild in my ownership for £1k. The unfortunate fact is it is irrelevant what has been put into a car it is not going to hold a value that one likes to think it will, especially one that has been heavily modified. Put ANY Corrado up for a price over £6k and I will be genuinely surprised if you get your "expected" value; especially one that has been converted to a vr6 that started out as a 4 pot, thats just going to attract all sorts of insurance premiums. I have a few other classic cars that were chosen wisely and have fortunately attracted significant value over the years but both of these are classics with very low mileage and are still as they were the day they drove out the factory, i believe it really is the only way if you want to command a premium price. I will pay a "reasonable" price for a good/mint Corrado because (likely to my financial detriment) I love the car for what it is but the grim reality is they are not at this time holding their value, you have to look at the market as it is not how you want it to be. Put it up for sale, prove me wrong!!! I'll pass for now thanks. Edd
  3. Hi Craig, do you mean your old Craigowl gallery, think it as last updated 2007ish. Have you any more details, im specifically interested in body condition (rust and dents) and any engine work undertaken to date (chains noise, tappets noise, puffs of oil smoke on overrun etc), PM me if you like Edd
  4. Yeah had thought that but then you have to make sure it's adjusted on registration docs etc and its blue and I don't like grey leather, fussy aren't I!! :)
  5. I just sold two reasonable vr6 rado's for the combined total of £1k because i had no interest, woe is me...
  6. You've all gone quiet, anyone else gonna sell me their soul...
  7. That's the one I used to live in the Oliver's flat any pay my rent working behind the bar....
  8. Currently Corradoless. first time in 10 years, on the lookout for a new one http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?78474-Mint-VR6-wanted-(premium-price-paid) I had a green vr6 for many years, carried the plate K652 EUC and H4ESE, recently sold it to maff on here who is upton based...
  9. I'd be keen, got to find a new Corrado first but it is just my kind of toy. Plus cruise control is my sure fire way of not getting busted for speeding in 30/40 mph areas nowadays....
  10. Edward Hayes he taught me between 1991 & 1993
  11. haha brilliant, when you metioned it the only thing that came to mind was a teacher but i couldn't put my finger on it. Clarity prevails, indeed your Dad taught me. He was a nice man, how's he doing? My Mum was teacher too, fortunately not at the Chase, she prefered teaching at all girls schools...... i prefered her teaching at all girls school too...:)
  12. cool, 4 years younger than me then. No bells on Hambi i'm afraid, friend of yours?

  17. thats the kind of info im after, any more info. Regards Edd
  18. Thanks folks. Haha love the fact Corrado owners continuously have their eye on the marketplace. My dilemma is I picked up a an immaculate VR for my cousin a year ago with 100k and 10k miles on a full Stealth engine rebuild exactly the same spec as this one above, colour, leather etc for £3900..... Furthermore having just sold a presentable VR for £1000 which I had owned for 7 years and previously had £4k spent on the engine at Stealth and looking at the timelies of the classifieds; Corrado's generally aren't shifting at the amounts people are looking to get for them. I have some offers of lovely C's on the table for the £6k region which i have to say in my opinion are well worth the money from a pure motoring/pleasure point of view but the resale value should you need to sell (redundancy, kids, etc) is not there, when it come to a secondary car for me this is quite important, i have other classic cars but i ensure that i pick them so that i will not loose much value in their resale should i ever need to. On the same hat if i were to spend 3-4k on one like the above i know i'm then going to have to put a few £k's into getting it up to the driving standard i require and the reserve fund for when the block starts to burn more oil than petrol.... ---------- Post added at 12:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:12 AM ---------- Actually if that one wasn't a carbon copy of my Cousin's (also my flatmate) i would be on my way down to have a look a drop a 2.5k offer on his table....
  19. Btw Matt there is someone selling an lc6v green bonnet on eBay at the moment, may be worth asking them if they have a drivers side wing.
  20. It was always run on the 10w40 synta silver or the equivalent from gsf Matt. (They stopped stocking it). Hope you are enjoying it mate.
  21. Very very nice Craig, just the look i love, i am a 6-8 pot man though, just prefer the driving style of bigger diplacement engines.
  22. haha bunch of traitors ;) keep them coming folks Edd
  23. Title says it all really Having let my other VR6 Corrado's go to a new owner a few days ago i am now looking to buy another VR at the premium end of the scale £4k-6k Either low mileage or with recent documented engine rebuild, will consider cars that have been lightly modified in the manner i likely will take (Magnex style exhaust, H&R coilovers or the equivalent etc). May be interested in cars with significant engine mods, 24v, supercharged, turbo'd etc Paintwork must be very good Should have leather (ideally not grey). If you have a dark grey one then thats my ideal colour After 10+ years of owning Corrados i have a good idea of their condition and market value so dont try fobbing me off with a nail haha. Any entusiasts tempted to leave the fold please drop me a line. Thats it, I'll continue to watch and wait.... Edd
