  1. SNAP!! Got to agree qaulity company, the only exhaust for me too!! 8) How come yours hasnt been powder coated? 8) Mine is stainless steel then they have powdercoated it. I thought they where all like that apart from the wierd looking ones they do.
  2. Sorry to butt in but I've just got a copy of retro cars and there a company selling Wilwood calipers for £140 each. There 4-pot billet jobies! I'm not to sure about the price of brakes but I thought they seemed a bargain.
  3. I have though about what you are discussing. The point is I organised the rolling road day because of a love of Dubs not for any sort of gain. I made no money out of it and even paid exactly the same as everybody else to put my car on the rollers. I'm continuing this by providing PVW with as much as I can for there feature, free of charge. This would sound silly to any journalists out there. Nevertheless, I am doing this for the enjoyment of Dubs, having something I organised in a magazine, promotion of the associated forums, and to make the next rolling road day I organise even more successful!  Don't get me wrong I would love some money!! But its more important to get the event featured, than line my pockets. If the corrado-forum.net becomes better know things like booking club stands at shows wil become easyier, etc. 8) 8)
  4. After seeing Darrens(g-man) car in the flesh, I really like that too. Reckon once it finished it'll be one of my favourites. 8) Picture of Danilos 16vG60
  5. Have to agree with that. The Rieger kit really looks good on a Rocco, and despite the 80's styling still looks good. Here a couple of my favourites :D
  6. Ant you show pony!!   Seriously, I had the exact same thing with my jabba sport chip and it worried me. I think that the fueling map was a little to aggresive. I now have a SNS chip and it runs fine without flames!!
  7. Dont worry jim the rolling road day is, "the corrado-forum.net and Dubforce.net rolling road day" I've now got all Henny's and Ben's photos from the day. Waiting on Elis (Scirocco) to get his film developed tomorrow, hope he has one of my car! Anyone else want a chance to see some of there pictures in a magazine?? ( please have a good one of my car :( :( ) I dont know how 100% it is that the day wil be featured. But the more material that I can supply them with then surly the more likely they are to feature it. :D :D Dont forget Need your results :!: :!:
  8. lol, Richie I think its possible the torque fugure are out, but I think the bhp figures are right. If thats possible
  9. I have just had a phone call from Eliot at PVW asking about our rolling road day. They are intresting on running something in there magazine. 8) 8) Can you all email me any photos you have? Need the pictures at high res too, please, if possible. Also a full break down of your results and spec, comments, etc. Either email to mailto:[email protected] or transfer over msn mailto:[email protected] Can you do this ASAP??? :-P
  10. The inlet bolts are a knightmare!! I've tried taking them off and failed misserably, to hard to get too. A haynes manual for a 8v gti engine recomends taking the engine out to get at them!!! I think taking the head off is the best way to replace a inlet or exhaust manifold. I was trying to replace my exhaust manifold. Durring the job one of the bolts snaped and needed drilling out!! I ended up getting a ported and polished head fitted fitted by Darren (g-man) instead!!!
  11. It doesn't cool the petrol, it stops it sitting next to the hot areas of the enginebay and re-circulates the fuel back to the tank where the petrol in the tank cools the warm petrol from the line. It never increases the pressure in the lines, only keeps it steady and moves the fuel around... 8) Cheers for the clarification. I'm geting it I think!!! This is there because the hot exhaust manifold being below the inlet and injectors. Another benifit of an x-flow then!! He's learning.........
  12. Yes I know  My first thought was that it was a temperature sensor honestly  But then I thought "the fan cools the water why measure the temperature here", still equaly stupid though!
  13. Yup, there's a little sensor on the G60s just next to the FPR that has a brown and white wire on it... If this thinks that your head is still hot, it'll keep the fan going... (guess how I know!  ) Dunno about the rest of 'em, but I can't see why it would only be the G60s that do! aaahhh. I wondered why when I unpluged that little wire and pressed it against my rocker cover my fan came on
  14. If thats right read this thread so we can all understand  :D :- http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6858
  15. My mate has a mk2 Golf with a G60 droped in it and the plug your talking about has nothing pluged into it. Thought it was a bit odd at the time but it runs okay. I just read in another post about fuel pumps staying on after turning the engine off. That they do it to cool the petrol. Also that the temperature of the petrol is measured somewhere under the bonnet. Could this be what its for? It would make sense that this feature doesnt work with a standard 8v golf fuel pump. So my mates conversion doesnt use it. (just a thought, probably wrong. :-P )
  16. What do you mean? Do you mean that the standard G60 clutch is up to the job of 200+bhp? I wouldnt be able to afford to change my clutch unless it went or It would dramaticly reduce the loss of power to the wheels. Cant see a reciept for a clutch in my service history so its probably due to go soon.
  17. If I fitted a VR6 clutch to my G60, would I get less of a loss from BHP at flywheel to BHP at the wheels??
  18. Jus got myself a new fuel pump today and my cars sorted again! Couldnt get a replacement Peirburg pump, so had to get a VDO pump and fuel sender. Cost a small fortune for both but at least its sorted now. The VDO pump wasnt easy to find. The garage (avw caernarfon) tracked one down at a stealers somewhere down south. They couldnt get one from GSF!!
  19. Was in my local stealers today. Asked them about a replacement charger for a laugh. :D :D :D Almost droped me ciggies, VW uk have 3 in stock!!!  Priced at £1850 + the VAT!! :( I couldnt belive it! Surly they've been there for 10 years? Wouldnt the oil seals in them be nackerd by now? What about the bearings too??
  20. That would be Jeron Diks 16v G60!! Nice eh??? Always sets good time at inters (its in a mk1 golf). Think his companys called JD Enginering?? That carbon airbox is smart bet its very functional too.
  21. There different!! jurry is out on how they would look on a corrado. Differents good though, I'm going off the idea of big BBS splits for my golf!  Been looking around american wheel sites. They have a huge amount of wheels available!!!
  22. BigTartanG60 Who did your rocker cover? How much? All you need now is puff daddys charger from the previous page!!
  23. Good read this thread  Did it get resolved? Final answer???
