hahaha yessss jamie, if you don't i may, what a cracking lot -
i suspect you would need a garage to give you a rough quote/diagnostic to get it running so the buyer has all the relevant info, no good asking a certain price if the cost of the repair is unknown...personally i wouldn't touch one without knowing whats wrong get a quote and adjust your selling price accordingly.....or get it fixed and keep it, thats what i would do ;-)

gonna be me doing this next year, will reference this thread so cheers for sharing
-
just read this thread, glad you kept with it chap, keep up the good work.. i had similar idle issues as you and found the wiring back to the ecu from the lambda sensor corroded and broke, got new connectors to put in the plug and my idle was so much better have a few of these connectors if anybody needs some, think they are called junior power terminals
-
cheers rob, appreciated so....tonight i picked this up, from a local legend lee of general designs will be going in ready, battery bag re-trimmed in beige leather to match the seats oh trail fit and sneak pic of the worthersee wheels........yep they are from Billcor.....obviously not correct ride height! will get more soon
-

-
bit of a clean and in the bay....jamie was right, these are a @£$%^&**** to fit! just make out my new swg scuttle in the background....sprayed matt finish to match
-
little update as worthersee prepping has kept me busy a few things added decided to attack the oil leak before a major service to see if i could see where the majority of it was, took the inlet off and the rocker cover and it seems it was leaking from the right bottom corner, so replaced gasket and cleaned the mating faces on the rocker cover, whilst it was off i decided i might as well powder coat them up so they look nice looked ok to me inside too group buy liner 288 brake updates twisted when on but sorted it now so ignore the braid twist slam panel was letting it down a bit and wanted to go a bit stealth look in the bay so started that all back together and working ok cleaned oil leak and no more seems to be appearing woo-hooo obtained this......must have been subconscious jamie flash red jealousy i think ;-)

loepan replied to james153's topic in Suppliers Forum
hi james got mine a while back and messaged you via email about full beams not working when loom is connected? you advised to check correct bulbs and fuses all bulbs are correct and fuses are ok......any ideas? -
one on corrado chat fb page going for 4k? not mine but looks good
-
ha was just going to say these tools, used the blue laser one on my lambda sensor connections worked a treat
-
great aren't they wayne, you got the car back yet?
-
although it's usually the ECU loom side that breaks and you need to either use repair wires or get a new plug from VW - £7ish) whilst replacing my lambda sensor one of the wires in the ecu side has broke out of its connector, does the whole connector need replacing or can i solder on a new spade connector to push in the old one? if i can get the old pin out! anyone know? or know what the name of the replacement plug is
-
once again jim great valuable info, sure enough went out to check cleaned all the crap off, pulled the wires and the spade connector for the sender remained on! stripped and soldered a spade connection later......all working and sean thanks as well......was in-between 90 - 98 so spot on also!

yeah get all the mpg, distance travelled, average speed? only just noticed the oil one today, haven't had it that long and unsure if its worked at all, but not sure whether it was on setting 1 or 2 either way it hadn't changed after around 30mins of driving just three dashes with an oil can next to it i'll have to go for a blast at the weekend and see, was just after clarification of what i should be seeing
-
dog can i just clarify, oil temp should read three dashes unless over 50 degrees? and whats the average oil temp, i only ever get the three dashes thought it needed replacing to be honest but maybe not
