Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (Group Buy 2014)
loepan replied to Southie's topic in Group Buy Feelers
the old stuff was a git, did it in a evening tho' I used 'gunk' the engine degreaser? and for the really hard parts white spirits....let it soak in for best effect then scrape off with old credit card the glue I used was the one rob suggested earlier in the thread 3M scotch weld 80 got two cans off ebay was expensive tho and didn't need anywhere near that amount I reckon 1/4 of a can to do the job, doing each piece seperatly I sprayed the liner and masked off the bonnet and sprayed that also, left for 6mins to go tacky then put them together no ways its shifting -
the brakes...im getting there haha

messy glue before after, tried to get arty with my badge -
got the taps ran them down, they are 10 x 1.5....now some banjo bolts
-
you talking evaporation? have you got the thermal hood lining, i suspect if the bonnet is warm to touch and the rain is cold you will to some extent get evaporation, happens if you turn on the heaters full in the cab, evaporation will come off any glass thats hotter on the inside than out suppose it depends on how bad the steaming was

de-badged all the way....at car shows the 'youth' of today are like...whats that? if its not a golf they haven't got a scooby then you only get the true corrado enthusiast......wow i used to have one of those, 2.0?.....no, vr6....ooooh you got the vr6

i like a bit of stretch and poke me....horses for courses and all that, but it can be done badly, get it wrong and it can effect the whole cars handling....i run adaptors, so they sit flush with arches and the stance looks a bit meaner from the rear love the new wheels clump, really look good, huge fan of these...keep em silver too

ok so got a set of 288mm callipers from goldie on here they are the ate 54 de vw type if that helps? I've got a set of good ridge hoses at the ready, but i need the banjo bolts the ones in the good ridge set do not fit, as in they are the right size but the thread is not quite right so i purchased two sets of extra banjo bolts both 10m with a thread of 1.25 and 1 and still both don't fit, they screw in first couple of threads but won't go any further and ill be buggered if I'm gonna go further fear of stripping threads anybody know the correct size for these so i can tell if I'm putting the wrong ones in or the thread in the calliper needs addressing? cheers

great how to mate and I haven't even got a g60, surely a sticky???
-
sorry to jump on your thread mate, but can you or anyone tell me, when removing the plastic covers off the manifold there are two screws with what I thought were torx heads on them, but my torx allen keys are short of a few points when lined up, and the screw don't look in the best shape so want to get the right tool before it rounds off any ideas?

chemical guys trim restorer ive found is good for black plastics, apply in the dry let it set in and should be good for a few months or re-apply when you wash the car

I have this also, it says the view of a police man from a rear view mirror of a corrado, the picture shows a copper with his leg out (about to get of the bike presumably to talk to the owner) but the view is slightly warped leading to suggest that the driver sees the image in his rear view mirror as warped because he has drove off so fast (sort of bending the time continuum) maybe star trek was in at the time I dunno I hate working early on a Saturday! :-(

ill say it.......camber shims?

their are various options you have here. arches rolled and pulled, will most likely crack paint slender tyres as mentioned above, use http://www.tyrestretch.com/ pick your specs to see the stretch a excellent web site I use all the time you may even be able to machine off the face of the rear wheel creating different et, but you must calculate the distance from the springs/dampner it may not be possible
