Mine are well and truley stuck fast, previous owner forgot to maintain them with the special spray stuff, so figure it really is about time I got it sorted. Im basically after the collars that adjust the height of the springs. I'll just then cut off the old ones and fit the new. I did mention it in passing to someone at a meet somewhere, but I've forgot where they said to get them from  cheers guys, James.

well it looks like I do have a SEKURIT screen. There's some other writing before, but didnt pay any attention to that. But tbh the install is a bit tat anyway. It just doesnt "look" right. the part where the side bits mate up with the top strip. On one side it isnt even touching the strip, looks like its peeling away, and also looks like some of the bonding stuff is filling the gap in a big glob!! :( I think its time for a phone call tomorrow.......

 I didnt realise they used different ones.....mines never been quite right since Autofarce done mine a few months ago. They've already been back 2wice to refit the strip along the top, and now ive noticed that wind noise has increased and my car gets "fogged up" in the mornings a lot more as well......

Hell yeah! First one's I saw were at a Track day last year. Immense cars, unbelievably quick and on full chat...... One of my m8's works for Keiths Audi in Aylesbury and his boss had one as well, got some abuse mind but they are awsome.

hmm....I last filled up at Tesco's with there super unleaded thingy, and mines felt unresponsive at time's, almost like its backing off. I mentioned it to you herisites at the MK meet the other day..... I wonder if its owt to do with this? Think i'll be going to Shell next time, just to be sure!

Im running 215/40/17's on my VR. Dropped a reasonable amount on my Koni Coilovers. Only notice slight rubbing if I'm cornering hard with passengers, otherwise its fine! Had em on for about 3 or 4 months. edit: they are Toyo Proxes T1-R's

yes m8 it is. Unfortunatly I havnt got any more pics at the moment, the ones I did have I forot to save when I upgraded me PC to vista. I'll get some more soon tho......
-

my FA Koni;s have superb ride quality, best after market ride quality I've ever had, but I can also firm them up if needs be for track daying. fyi, I've also had stnd. Koni's, FK coil's, spax, g-max erm.....and a few other I cant remember, over the years on various cars.

I did hear they were thinking of doing a cut down version of the veyron with less power? No chance it could be that is there?

Had all 3 (altho the valver was just a temp on loan car) and IMO the VR is far and away the best built and better car. However its done 100k less than the other 2, so thats a huge factor. I loved my G60 for the pure fun factor! Was pushing around 180bhp with similar torque and was just so much fun in any gear at any speed. The VR and Valver are completetly different. High revs to get the best out of em, but with the VR it just goes......and goes......and goes....and goes....all the way to red line! So much more refined power, but it feels less at low revs and doesnt feel as quick as the G because its so progressive, even tho its waaaay quiker! I gotta admit, I just found the valver a tad slow, after going from a G60. But still good none the less. My advice, go drive a G and VR, see what you prefer. I just happen to prefer the VR now.

yeah I got mine from ebay UK as well

when my G60 got rear ended (not heard much about her from the new owner :( hope shes still going!) I went out straight away and got a VR6! Low mileage, mint condition, for 5 g's. So glad I spent the extra to get a top notch one. Altho I have been considering trading her in for a New TT......but shhh, dont tell her!!
-
cool m8 nice 1 :) Ive ordered one off ebay and I'll try and strip to paint Dragon Green when I get her :)
-
wow that is cool! I didnt even know you could pull those models apart!! *gets on ebay to order his own and start* :D
-
yup, following the wiki article ;) My sis works for a Honing company, so she's got them to make me some up. Incidentally I'll have a few spare sets, if anyones interested.....?
-
ah ic, makes more sence when you say it like that! Yeah its the 1mm chappies I need for my Mk4 calipers. Cheers and happy Birthday :D

Just had this response from C&R: so, does anyone know what the length and the thread pitch of the required banjo is?
-
Well, wotever it is that holds the engine in then! Im not a mechanic by any streatch of the imagination, so If ive got the terminology wrong, i apologise.
-
my m8 who is a tech @ VW says that the front engine mounts are prone to go early, due to all the torque they kick out! another m8 had one as a company car for a while, and raced me up Santa Pod when I had the G60. I think he done it in 15.1, which is about the same as a stock VR iirc. Oh and then his Front engine mount gave out.......
-
now ive got the slightly bigger tyres on, the front looks a little lower and sits at a really nice height. I've tried dropping the rear slightly, but the collars are siezed on tight, so we only managed to drop her by maybe half an inch! If anyone knows where I can get replacement collars from, that would also be grand 8) and indeed alex303, Merry xmas to one and all!
