I thought the insurance group was 18? Or was that the Golf VR6?
-
be careful not to cross thread the bolts when you put the bumper back on - easy to do if the bumper is not aligned accurately over the boltholes
-
Dinkus, have you got the part number for the fuel filter mate?
-
OK mate, whenever you get a chance - I ll see what Phat makes of it when he's stopped being so secretive about his rebuild :)
-
yellow- did you get round to posting the oilcooler details?
-
anyone know why they must have high pressure washers? I can only guess that dirt and squashed bugs diffuse the light beam? my 330 sport BMW has self-levelling lights and high pressure washers but ordinary lights - no HID or Xenon :?: :?:
-
That sounds exactly like mine!! but I'm no pensioner (not yet anyway- another40 years yet ) and That is No Way To Talk About The Missus :D :D I do go up to Ferndown to get my car serviced at Hines Autos and sometimes use the Sainsbury's to fill up with Super (well cheap at 80.9p/L) but I live Queens Park area in Bournemouth. Only C I see with regularity is the silver one sometimes parked on Charminster Road....
-
more of the same please :D :D :D
-
my handbrake is pants - dinkus, have you done this mod? If so where did you get your calipers - from the stealers?
-

I've just had a thought - could it be a scorned ex girlfriend ala Fatal Attraction?

Decided to replace the air filter with a K&N panel replacement only to find a : *******dead sparrow under the air filter*********     I was so stunned I forgot to take a picture. How the hell did it get in there :?: :?: :?: :?: Its was quite small.....maybe not even a sparrow - jeez It must have tried to squeeze through the microscopic holes of the OE filter and failed miserably. Anyways the car is running so much better now :) :) :) MORAL : check your airboxes regularly for winged creatury things trying to get into your induction system.

FANTASTIC!! I hope the f***er still has an annoying facial twitch as a result, I mean fancy going after a Sierra................
-
Nice one Tom - good pics and idiot proof guide there. Its good to see that people are keeping dinkus busy in the name of helping fellow corrado owners :) :) :)
-
reminds me of the reliant scimitar, in looks anyway
-
I think I'll try this tonight and post a pic - a single ring on the inner aspect of the light so you don't compromise the purpose of the lights but you still get a different look. Oh and Gavin's headlight loom is a must...
-
no pm here either Dick but from your pics both night time pics are okay and look quite modern. I think the main question will be what the dials will look like during the day. I too would prefer an understated look (ie black rather than silver) as this is more in keeping with the original look but you have the advantage of the updated look at night.

very nice Alex, didint I see somewhere around here that you know a good paintman/bodyshop around Bournemouth way?
-
Oh dear - Gavin you haven't shaken off this mortal coil have you

Thanks Henny!! Can I get one from Maplins?   pardon my ignorance but what kind of diode do I need - I know they look like resistors but do they do the same job? And while we're there where does a rheostat fit in within these definitions??
-
Dick, I prefer the blue and red 'lit up' design as in your avatar pics.....just my tuppence worth
-
he's building up the tension for the finale tomorrow.......
-
That would be helpful - I will watch out for it
