Just having a sniff around the German Corrado enthusiasts' site. Home of "the original" Corrado Forum apparently  They have a little shop that sells Corrado themed accessories. http://www.vwcorrado.de/s17_corrado_accessoires.html Might come in handy for birthday presents/stocking fillers etc..

Disconnect the multi-plug at the back of the lighter to prove the fault out first.

Yup, they're the original Quantum ones. No longer available from VW. I have a set in my garage as I have a fetish for such things

Apologies if this has already been mentioned. Though it might interest the Scots among our number. http://www.scottishvag.com/news/ Haste Yee Back!

Excellent. Swissol really produces top results! 8)

We just have one rear foglight on the right hand side (looking at the rear) Edit: Beat me to it Henny

"In my opinion, a truly practical classic. Particularly when paired with the innovative VR6 or G60 engines, the Corrado combines timeless styling, performance and excellent road keeping in one great package. Rare enough seen to turn heads yet parts are still readily available from main dealers. Having owned all three variants (16v, G60 and VR6) over the years as well as other vehicles from the VAG & Porsche stable, I can safely say the Corrado is the one car that I would love to own again. If you’ve never driven one, you really should!" I was a little economical with the truth, having only owned a VW Golf and a 16v Corrado before, but hey there's plenty of folk who've said the same.

Good News! Do you have the legal reference for the Test Case? eg: Smith V's Norwich Union.

Nomination sent. Come on everyone! Surveys like this influence Joe Publics' opinion and keep our residuals high!

Glad you're happy with them guys. I'll post up some pics of my green illuminated one once I get round to fitting it. @ Henny Breakin' the Law, Breakin' the Law I'm seeing The Mighty Priest here in Belfast on Thursday :) Not too keen on the support though... The Scorpions???

Or you could try Sandown Motors at Ballyhackamore. Bit handier if you're in Belfast. They used to be Stocks VW dealers and still have all the specialist tools and diagnostic equipment. There's loads of G60 owners on here. So you shouldn't be short of advice. Buying a Corrado makes DIY'ers out of most owners.

I assume you have the rotary controls. If you pull off the speed control knob, you'll find a copper contact behind it. Like all exposed copper this will tarnish with age. Resulting in a dodgy connection and the symptoms you describe. Give it a clean and your problem should be solved.

Has anyone actually made a claim with Elephant. I know they're the same company as Admiral, one of the UK's biggest insurers. It's just they consistently under quote competitors by hundreds of pounds. In my case they were £700 cheaper than the competition! Just wondered if they cover this by offering 50p if your car gets totalled?

That's Grrrrreat Tony! :) Did your alternator not get in the way with the headlight out? I'm going to have a go at mine sometime in the next week.

Welcome aboard duckeh. Get them pics up and check out the http://www.vage.ie forum for details of meets.

Battery light and voltage regulator query - wee UPDATE

The way I look at it is "one less thing to worry about" :) -
Lovely jubbly. Just wanted to make sure it was safe to cut and weld a new end piece on. Had suspicions I might have to buy a new backbox or something daft!

Basically the same mods that you'd apply to a Mk2 16v will work on a Corrado. A local lad has his valver pushing out 170BHP at the flywheel with just headwork and cams done.

I have a full Supersprint system with de-cat fitted to my VR. Great exhaust, sounds nice and has never given me any bother. One thing that I don't like about it however, is the tailpipe. It's large and round a protrudes from the bumper about 10cm. Is it possible to get a different tailpipe fitted? I'd much prefer a nice oval that fills the bumper cut out and doesn't stick out. Where would I go for such a thing? It's been suggested that my local Powerflow dealer could cut the old pipe off and weld another one on.

Not really a fan of the "Euro" deep dished look. But as The Hub says. 16" Borbet T's would look the best of that lot. What about a nice set of 16" or 17" BBS RC's?

What a sh1te review. Someone should send a decent review for them to post. Drug Dealers obviously find Corrado's sooo Passé these days!

I'd heard good things about Autowatch as well. Does anyone have experience of Laserline alarms?

Battery light and voltage regulator query - wee UPDATE
MikeVR6 replied to Rossco's topic in Engine Bay
Maybe the dodgy regulator has fooked the battery? Or the battery caused the regulator to die. Either way, get the battery checked. This happened on mine, dead cell in the battery put too much strain on the alternator and it burnt out. Didn't realise this was the cause until I replaced the alternator and the fault was still there just not as pronounced. Fitted a new Bosch Silver battery and everything worked again. -
Which model of '91 Corrado is it? IIRC 1.8 16v's didn't have ABS. Think it may have been an option on G60's.

Have a look at daveh's thread here mate. http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ing+column
