  1. We had a little snow here last night. The first proper snow this Winter. Of course, it would have to happen two days after I'd washed and polished my car! Oh well, at least the snow was easily brushed off. :) Was looking forward to some handbrake action tonight, but it's all melted! (cue Scotsmen telling me I don't know what snow is)
  2. These were available from Trimsport. http://www.trimsport.co.uk I got one from them 18 months ago. There's a choice of about 6 stickers for the top of them. At the time they had 6 CCGB stickers left. Well made and along with silver door pulls, handbrake handle and locking pins (also from Trimsport) brightens up a dark interiored Corrado. Unfortunately it gets so cold in the winter your hand almost sticks to it.
  3. So a cupfull of 2 stroke oil added with regular oil is a good idea?
  4. Club GTI have a stand on the Cultra Classic cars show. 9th April at the Transport Museum. Be nice to have another Corrado there http://www.clubgti-ni.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1863
  5. Did the little holes around the speakers match the location of the screws the factory speakers used?
  6. kongo Did the newer style gauge cluster fit into your centre console ok? Or did you have to modify it?
  7. Hard to say without interogating the ABS Controller with VAG-COM. Sounds promising though :)
  8. Just order one direct from Turn2. Jim there knows how to mark the packaging to avoid customs duty.
  9. How do you remove the speaker grille on post '92 Corrados?
  10. Have a look here... http://www.scorpionalarms.com/ They should be able to supply a new fob.
  11. More info on this alarm... http://www.aprssecurities.co.uk/details.htm
  12. Passenger Window Driver's window Sunroof Your car sounds like a changeover model, so may not have full closure including sunrrof.
  13. If your alarm currently controls the central locking. It's just a matter of getting the "locking pulse" extended to simulate you holding the key in the lock position for a few seconds. I'm sure one of our alarm experts will be able to advise how/where this can be done. On G60's and 1.8 16v's the "total closure" only works for the windows. On later models it closes the sunroof too.
  14. Have you tried opening the fob up and checking the circuit board for clues?
  15. PabloVR6 Had a problem with his immobiliser coil a few weeks ago which caused a similar problem. Although he was able to diagnose this problem with VAG-COM. Anyone else?
  16. I did the brake fluid on mine last weekend when I was fitting a new Clutch Master Cylinder. Took nearly 1 litre. I used ATE dot 4 fluid from ECP. belfastfumanchu The fluid on yours was replaced when I had the master cylinder changed on it. Look through the receipts you got with the car to see how long ago that was. There'll be a receipt for the master cylinder from ECP and another receipt from VW for fitting it. Think a fluid change should be every 2 years unless you're using DOT 5.1 and doing lots of trackdays.
  17. 81.5p For Super at the local Sainsbury's. I've the best of both worlds though, half an hour takes me over the border for a cheap fill at 60p per/Ltr. :multi:
  18. I'm also interested in a full set for my VR6. Care to PM me the details Darren/Steve?
  19. Might be worthwhile taking the door cards off and applying a voltage directly to the motors to make sure they're functioning correctly. If so then as funky says, replace the control unit. I think they're the same across the range regardless of age.
  20. Think the sensor is attached to the inside of the front bumper on the driver's side.
  21. Bargain him down a bit. My mate's Sales Manager for a local Seat dealership. He just traded in a '97 3 Door VR6 Highline (leather,A/C) 84k FVWSH in Metallic Black for ........ £2750! All it needed was a polish. Sold it out through the trade for £2950. :shocked!: Cheap as Chips!
  22. There's a 16v that's been converted to a VR6 for sale on the Forum. Might be perfect for a track car. Think he's looking around £2.5k, so you'd have some cash left over for a little engine work.

    Tailored Mats

Yup, I've had these in both my Corrados and the only faults I found were the little badge falls off after a while and there's no way of fixing them to the floor. Some superglue fixes the first problem though. (And the second if you're crazy) :D
