    exhaust bang

How much are the chain-filled rubbers and how do I get intouch with C+R please?
  5. Oh and..... The only Stupid Question is the one you don't ask :D
  6. I have a Quantum alarm on mine also. Apparently these were supplied to VW Dealerships by Scorpion and rebadged as Quantum. More info can be found about them at http://www.scorpionalarms.com There's a link at the bottom of the page to download fitting and user instructions for all their models. I had to ring them and describe the keyfob of my alarm to correctly identify which model it was. Hope this helps
  7. My '91 16v has leather. I think it was a cost option at the time on all Corrados. As far as I know, the only C's with leather as standard were the VR6 Storms and Campaigns. What is it worth? I guess the answer to that is.... What are you willing to pay? Probably a few hundred more than a car exactly the same condition, mileage etc without leather.
  8. I'm working and living in Bracknell for 4 weeks at the moment. I've seen a few C's around... There's a lovely Black VR in the town centre and I saw a Red VR parked in Wokingham last night. Just wondered if anyone in the forum wants to meet up for a pint and maybe take me for a spin?
  9. On my 16v. If you remove the little tray and trim under the glovebox. Then lift the carpet. Then look at the engine bay side of the bulkhead, you'll see a rubber grommit covering a hole into the passenger footwell. I attached my power cable to a piece of wire coathanger and pushed it through the grommit, then pulled it through the other side. Then you can run the cable along the bottom of the passenger door and into the boot. Be careful when removing the bottom door trim, the clips break quite easily. The rear door card has a hidden screw under a piece of trim near where the seatbelt comes out, as far as I can remember :? Good Luck
  10. I had a 50mm spoiler colour coded and fitted when I lowered my C. Some before and after shots are here for comparison.... http://corrado.atx-hosting.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2344 Personally, I think it's a lot better looking now.
  11. I've one fitted. ONE HUNDRED QUID for a piece of flimsy plastic. Stick some screws through the locator tabs in the middle to secure it there. For the eyebrows, I used velcro tape from B+Q to secure it to the top of the headlights. Didn't fancy using screws incase I damaged the lights. Velco's easily removed if you need to change your headlight bulbs.
  12. Try Snappy Gaitors on 01270 580730. They hand make them in whatever colour you desire.
  13. I think Cheesy had an induction kit fitted to his 16v. It was made by a Dutch company, if you send him a mail I'm sure he'll be glad to answer any questions. As for drilling the box, dead easy, it'll take you about 45 mins. I think there's a document on the American Corrado Club's website. VW Corrado Club of America Give the airbox a good clean out with carb cleaner while you have it dismantled. The only thing to remember is to drill the holes ONLY on the front and the wing facing sides of the box. Otherwise it can ingest dirt from outside. Fitting a K&N Airfilter's also a good idea.
  14. Can anyone recommend a good radar detector or GPS Gatso warning system. They've just started putting up fixed cameras over here in sunny N.I. and I don't want to have loads of points on my license (again!)
  15. Yeah Scott, my Girlfriend thought I drove a Delorean till I put her straight!
  16. Had mine at 130... then I got scared and eased off  As for the central locking business.... I think earlier C's only put the windows up when the key's turned in the lock. Later ones do the windows and also the sunroof. Interested in biggrims idea about the relay though.
  17. DtM, Kev's instructions should be the same for all C's. The dealer won't touch the coolant as part of a normal service. As far as VW are concerned it's like the gearbox oil, sealed for life! :?
  18. He probably assumes all Corrado owners are Drug Dealers, since that's the sort of income required to keep one maintained with genuine VW parts :D

    window motors

Yeah, they're over £220 from VW. Try GPC. http://www.gpcvwaudi.com They should be a good bit cheaper for genuine VW parts. £150 or so if memory serves. The problem is, the motors only come with the entire window lifter assembly so you have to buy the whole damn thing  I got the assemblies for both sides for £80 from a breakers in the end.

    window motors

There's a motor for each window, think they share a common relay/control unit hidden inside the rear o/s quarter panel trim. I've replaced both my window motors over the years. Not wanting to scare you, but I hope you've got lot's of patience
  21. Bit late I know, but here's a link for anyone else having problems with their heater/blower. http://website.lineone.net/~quigger/heater.htm Credits to Jason Hughes
  22. Beautiful, original car. Health to drive! So, what's first on the mods list?
  23. Yes mate Good Luck! Hope you get lot's of custom! :D
  24. That's madness! Cummon Guys! let's make some of our own, someone out there must be able to fabricate plastic at work. :?:

    Handbrake Gaiter

RAMS: Yeah it the Trimsport one. Apparently the button's a nightmare to remove, so they haven't created a replacement. Looks fine in the flesh, I'll post up a better quality photo soon.
