Ordered. Thank you James!
-
Yes, just up'n'down and tilty back. When they work :)
-
I had a look yesterday. There is no tilt handle. But the back/forth handle is on that side. A thermo mug fits! So the cupholder is good for all models :)

No good if you've got Electric Recaros though :(

Window Rollers - on hiatus due to c*ck up
MikeVR6 replied to Alex_G60_Fanatic's topic in Forum Group-Buys
You know I probably ordered a set of these years ago and they're buried in my garage somewhere. But send me a PM and I'll get another set. I like to support these things and they can keep the bag of dash clock leds, chrome door handles, Passat rear door handles and Reiger illuminated gear shifter company until I finally get that day when I do all these little jobs. :) Roll on retirement. T-minus 37 years! -
Looks awesome! A credit to you and the previous owners!

Had a quick search there but didn't find any previous topics. Someone on the VR6OC Bakebook page mentioned these. http://www.vr6coilbracket.com/ What are these all about? Has anyone fitted them? Are they worthwhile?
-
Original isn't always best. I go for OEM+ myself :) Good luck. I think the repair kits went out of production a few years back. You'll need a breaker to salvage a complete cassette from.

Time for an upgrade? Look for a glass sunroof from a Passat "B4"Estate circa 1993-1996.

Happy Days! Their service is top notch too. I've used them twice. 1st time about 100kms from home. They sent out a local (to the incident) recovery firm who put the car on their wagon and drove us all home. 2nd time we were on a family trip I had a diesel turbo runaway. They had a depot nearby. Car was recovered to there and they gave us a free rental car for a week so we could continue our trip, only interrupted our journey by 1 hour. They took my car back to my local mechanic a few days later, 200km away. I should say both incidents were in neither my Corrado nor Passat. :) They also have a lot of discounts negotiated across Europe. Frequently you'll see "free coffee" or similar for ADAC members at Motorway Services. I got 10% off a mountain bike online and they have a credit card which gives you cashback at Shell. Their rental cars are quite competitive too.

I see the same eBayer has another set for £22. I wonder if they're any better?
-
Bought these from eBay for £16 inc delivery. Quite impressed with the quality for the money. My original VW mats were disintegrating and the foam backing was rubbish at keeping them in situ. Heel pad and non-slip backing as standard. http://tinyurl.com/o5b75bf

You could also send Tempest (Eric) a message. I'm sure he used ADAC in the past.

It seems they do cover UK Residents. A quick Google shows they're popular with Caravan/Motorhome owners. http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/chatter/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=7&TopicID=320114 But do you really need European cover or just UK? I never heard of anyone being refused because their car is too old. Try this site.. http://www.comparethemarket.com/breakdown-cover/

Oh pooh. I was sure a bunch of mates joined them before doing a European Tour.

ADAC And they'll recover you if you crash on the Nurburgring! https://www.adac.de/mitgliedschaft/adac_membership/default.aspx

It was 3 years ago. But if I remember correctly they do it on an exchange basis. They send you a wheel with the stitching of your choice within 10 days (depending on post). You check it and return your wheel using their box. Keeping your own horn push. Drop them a message on eBay to confirm that. -

I had mine done. They're actually in Poland. Did a great job and you can choose the colours of the stitching. Fast turnaround too. -
Thanks. How long do you reckon it takes for a novice to remove all the fixtures and fittings, replace carpet and refit? This could be a job for some sunny weekend.
-
Can you post pics of the underlay please. Or better still. start a new thread about the carpets that can maybe be "stickied" in the Interiors Forum.

What about a "Supercharged" too? :D
