Nope - but will sort one out for you at weekend... look similar to the Corrado mirrors but a bit more curvy...
-
Get some FTO mirrors.... electrically fold in  8)
-
To be fair the 16v 1.8 Corrado takes around 8.5 secs to get to 60mph anyway... and thats one that is in fine fettle.
-
Believe me I have probably cost them thousands now by you guys not renewing with them :D But I havent even started yet! :D
-
I've never got on with Brentacre to be honest... have used Flux before in past and never had problems even when claiming so going back to them. I'm so angry about this its unreal.
-
Agreed - they should be removed from the CCGB Site as recommended insurers... like I said I never had any problems from them but the fact they have been so petty about cancelling my insurance and holding my NCB to ransom I would really dread having to make a claim from them. What hassles did Steve have?

I thought I would let you know about my general disgust of Chris Knott Insurance and warn you to stay clear of them... I'm not the first to have problems either. Until recently I have had no complaints from them in 2yrs of insuring my old Corrado with them... due to buying a new car I had to cancel my policy with them as they could not come close to my best quote I had been given (over £500 more) therefore I chose to cancel it and was informed this wouldnt be a problem and there would be nothing to pay - in fact I would get a little money back. Lovely I said. The following week I get a snotty letter from a finance company saying that I owe them money - track it down and apparently it turns out that Chris Knott actually FINANCE out any monthly pay scheme to First National Finance - I wasnt actually informed of this. So a phone call to Chris Knott - they will sort it out they said. I questioned the fact they had used a finance company... they said it was standard procedure and I was informed of this... funny that as I would have remembered it and paid it in full instead. Anyway I thought that was the end of the matter... not so... a week later I get a letter from Chris Knott saying I owed them money... I'm like WTF? - three times on the phone they implied I wouldnt have to pay anything to cancel the policy and the annoying thing is that had I known this I probably would have carried the policy on till the end - too late now!! So I refused to pay it... I then get a letter from them stating that if I dont pay the amount owed within 7 days they will cancel my other policy that I hold with them (I insured both my Pug diesel and corrado with them)... well thats nice of them I thought! NOT!! I then thought - ok - had enough time to move my policies to someone else.... moved the FTO policy to Adrian Flux (who seem good so far and very helpful) and am looking into moving the Pug insurance to them also.... I then got a phone call from Adrian Flux saying that they could not get confirmation of my NCB from Chris Knott - turns out Chris Knott DELIBERATELY blocked Adrian Flux from getting the information required on my NCB and as a result if I didnt provide proof of my NCB to Adrian Flux they would have to either cancel my policy or recalculate my premium based on having none!!! Rest assured I for one will NEVER be using Chris Knott Insurance again and I strongly suggest you do the same!!! NOTE: CHRIS KNOTT - If you are reading this be warned - I'm not finished with you yet! Scott.

Believe me if the speed limiter was still active you would feel it... - jap speed limiters are EXTREMELY crude....

I fancy doing another driving day / course... I am not fussed about the cars being driven to be honest - I just want to up my skills on the track with tuition from an instructor.... My other half also wants a go which is a bonus seeing as she drives the FTO Any ideas people where / who does it for sensible money...???

Just buy some new NGK Plugs... they arent expensive and no I wouldnt like to re gap - Bosch 4 prong plugs :D
-
Yeah some good points there.... my VR6 was excellent for the nearly 3yrs that I had her - cost me next to nothing in that time but then I got to a point where I had a list of things that needed doing that were going to cost me the wrong part of two grand.... (cylinder head, brakes, wheel refurb) and thats the main reason I decided to cut my losses and sell up... fair enough the new owner thinks its perfect and has no complaints but they are the items I would HAVE had to do if I was going to keep her... so I decided it was a good time to sell and try something new. One day though I will defo buy another - just for the memories 8)

You need to speak to Chris Knott mate - you need a technical inspection report...

Rename the thread: 'WE LOVE G WERKS' :-P

I want F1's but £85 a corner plus fitting is heavy.... especially for 16's!!! :(
-
Will do mate when got a few mins to spare... £85 a corner reasonable for these tyres or not? I can get Vrednestein Sportrac / Falkens for £60 per corner.... both have good reviews according to My Tyres?
-
My Tyres want £85 a piece
-
I also considered the Fiat before buying my FTO - its stonking in a straight line as mentioned but its no where near the Corrado in terms of cornering ability - it understeers like a pig. Some uprated suspension is supposed to help out quite a bit but there is no denying at present you can pick up a late plated one with low miles for £5k tops.... Fiat build quality is ridiculous... paintwork is poor - I have heard of paint being scratched by flies!!!
-
Hi mate - they take 205, 50 - 16 Currently have Uniroyal rain tyres on it and they are flipping awful!!!
-
I drove my Brothers car last night (Saxo VTS) and its kitted out with Eagle F1's... I was absolutely amazed with the grip available in the wet / dry at any speed from these tyres.... so am now after some myself. Does anyone know in the North West where I can buy some at sensible prices? Cheers Scott

My TOAD rocks.... Ai606 here also with total closure... cost me £250 fitted ;)

It SOOOO much easier to remove the dash mate it really is.... I tried the method you describe and its a pig to do - I removed the dash (few extra screws) and then was a 5 min job to change over...
