Nah you would have know about it if it was me :D Lovely dark red 306 with bright green lettering. Disappointingly you don't get a big smoke screen out of it when you thrash it though :(
-
Don't suppose you could take some pics of them could you? I've got rubber VW mats in mine at the moe and I want to get some carpet ones. Just not sure if it's worth getting pukka VW ones or getting justmatz or somesuch to make me up some that look like the VW ones...
-
Good point... how do I check that? Just prise up the rubber and see?
-
Good point, we shall see though. I only had a quick look over, grabbed some pics and left again, so a closer inspection is needed methinks. The sill does still look a bit of a mess when you get down on the floor, but it was a big bent mess to start with (yay for the scissor jack  ) I don't really mind too much about it, as it's not noticable unless you're actually down on your hands and knees. It does bother me that the little notch indicating the jacking point has gone.. it makes me worry how much filler is in there... :?

Heh heh yeah so do I... ;) We overtook you?? I didn't realise we overtook any other C's!? Where and when was it?
-
Yeah the GB seems to have tailed off at the moment, but I'm talking to zarman about the door sills GB I'm doing, so I can check up what the state is with the UK spec dials as well.
-
zarman from DDI was talking about doing some UK spec dials, so it might be possible to organise a GB on them sometime. They aren't cheap though! In the mean time, I know quite a few people have just white versions of the standard dials that you can print out and stick over the top of the standard ones. There's a template on there somewhere for them if you have a search.

Sneaky gits. I got the same email the other day, but I just ignored it because they sent it to my work email address, not the one I have registered with ebay

I would say it's the dizzy cap, but if that's been replaced recently, then it could well be the HT leads breaking down. It will usually be worse if they're wet, so the ferry and damp mornings would suggest that....

Yep sounds good to me aswell, and theres my mate starky (keystar G60) who'll be into it. There are loads of rado's about!!! OK you Essex/Suffolk/Norfolk folk.....want me to set something up? I know Keystar G60, Supercharged, Nelson, MadJackal and a couple of others who's names escape me at the mo. I'm thinking of perhaps a meet at the "Shepherd and Dog" pub near the suffolk Show ground, say once or twice a month? It's just off the A14, so easily accessible, or perhaps the Ardleigh Crown pub at the Colchester turn off? Let me know of interest. I'm game and I'm sure we could convince jedi-knight83 to come along too, I can collect him on the way and we can come in convoy. I'm sure there are others that are in a decent distance to come up as well... Should I point out, mister moderator sir, that this should probably be in Event Announcements? ;)

*sigh* ok I'll give GPC a call on Monday as well then..

After Supercharged pointing out I spelt Ipswich incorrectly in the title, I've changed that  As far as the repair goes, the C was supposed to be ready on Friday, but they still need to do the geometry and apparently that's what they have been sent the wrong plastic brackets to hold the central locking pins in for the fuel cap. They seem to think that I *may* have bent the rear axle as the wheel isn't sitting right in the arch, but it doesn't look too bad to me. I won't know for sure until they put it on the jig and test it though. Anyhoo, here is what that panels look like at the moment (not very good pics I'm afraid) I have 2 issues that I might be taking up with the bodyshop: The crease down the drivers door looks like it's been rounded off a little, so it doesn't look the same all along the car. The paint on the rear quarter looks a little ripply, but I need to see what it looks like in a few days time after it's had time to set properly. Either way, if it aint perfect, they're doing it again...

Oooh very nice 8)

Ok guys I put the order in today and I've sent all the cheques off to get paid in, so no boucing please ;) I'll let you know as soon as I know an exact delivery date, sorry this is taking so long...
-
If they're the same revision interior, you should be fine doing a straight swap. The only thing you may have fun is the electrics for the leathers if they have them. There have been loads of posts on here about that though, so have a search and see what you can come up with.
-
Heh heh nice one :) I wish I could afford to do that, but my C is costing me almost as much as buying a second one at the moment! You need to get yourself some Lupo wipers on there mate ;)
-
Heh heh ah ok, I knew they used the same slippery stuff, but yeah Supercharged, that would make sense :D
-
Surely if it was the master cylinder your brakes wouldn't work either....?
-
Hmm bugger, that's another thing for the list :(
-
Yup, neither of mine go up with one-touch, that's what it says in the manual addenum :)
-
Yup, I have a little addenum leaflet on mine that says about the windows doing that. It's highly annoying as I don't really want to drive along holding my finger on the button....
-
Yeah tell me about that, but then I'm not doing myself any favours wrapping it round a tree..
-
Go to a place that know what they're doing like Stealth Racing ;)
