  1. Hey stick with the steelies, they look cool 8) As for the rear wiper - I'm getting mine modded to a Lupo one so it matches the front and most importantly WORKS! :) I like being able to see people disappear behind me ;) I know what Crazymarcel means about turning the bugger off though.. I think you have to push the lever once to turn it on, then again to turn it off... but I'm not entirely sure

I'd like to point out that the dousing of all the bolts in PlusGas overnight will make your life a million times easier. It's worth every penny.

    front wishbone removal

Err before you try any of that, drench the bolt in PlusGas. It's kinda like WD40 but on steroids. Leave it over night and it will penetrate (ooh err) the bolt and it should come off much easier in the morning.

Well it depends on what you have already. According to the how-to... Is what you need.
  6. Yup, sounds like it needs a re-gas to me. Should be something in the region of £50-£75 from your local Air Con specialist :)
  7. Yeah, sorry about that. Cav probably needs new front shocks to pass the mot and so i might have to borrow your garage for a bit, while you've got nothing in it..... Ohh I see how it is. Yeah sure... still not gonna splash out and get some new HT leads tho?
  8. Ah sorry, I shoulda said that was on a VR :D
  9. More the merrier :) You just wait, Nugget Yellow 8 valvers will be selling for more than VR's in a few years
  10. In fairness I was game to have a crack at the rear suspension, but there was no way I was gonna attempt the rear axle bushes. Then I figured as they're in there they can do the suspension too... it wasn't helped by scruffythefirst very inconsiderately taking up his nice garage space with his kit car  lol.
  11. After all that, you go and cave in and take it to someone that knows what they're doing  disgusting behaviour...what you say? My car booked in at Stealth to do the rear suspension you say? Nooo not me

You don't need to do the rear at the same time, you can just do the front. The kit is what you need (the part number should be on the how-to?). The kit has both the mount and bearing in it. Why they sell it as separate parts as well, I have no idea. I didn't do the bump stop when I was in there... if there is one at all?
  13. Your friendly local stealer will be able to help you out. If you have a VR it needs about 3 bottles of it and it's about £10ish a pop! It may well be worth considering joining the official VW Corrado Club of GB as you get The Sprinter magazine which has helpful tips on how to fix/maintain your C and it gets you a discount (usually 10%) at the stealer too. All for a bargain £15. It'll certainly save you many times that in discounts :)
  14. 1. you can do it yourself, it's pretty easy. Have a search and I'm sure there are tips on what to do 2. ;)
  15. Just as long as it doesn't have a post coitial (sp?) smoke
  16. Very nice, like jim says, any chance of a full res version of that top one? :D
  17. Gimme a nice looking Leon Curpa R over a lardy, bland looking Golf any day :)

    Strange Noise

Could be the fuel pump? Which side is it on?
  19. The Word doc on the buyer's guide ( http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5124 ) gives you a complete rundown of the cosmetic changes made to the C over the years
  20. Ok in that case you need to put spring compressors on and the big black rubber bit is just push fit, so you can just haul on it till it comes off to reveal the nut that I think you're talking about and can be removed as shown.
  21. I think it's good having all the negative points on here, it puts off the casual owners that aren't gonna look after their C properly and just leaves the true fans :D
  22. TBH I'd rather be comfortable and use a little bit extra fuel than sweat like a pig just to save a few pence :)
  23. Surely this is all you need to do, using an effing big breaker bar if needed Edit: image de-embedded as it was the wrong one - http://the-corrado.net/how-to/img_full. ... age9_large
  24. ...adds it to the ever increasing list of bits to get for his C
