BMW 3.0CS s were built there too... (oooh, three of my favourite cars, Scirocco Corrado and the Beemer!) Didn't think the 6 series beemers were made there though, I'll double check

P.S. Just found another Storm badge - up on ebay for £350, plus free Scirocco GTII (definitely NOT a Storm!) Clicky

Does that mean that admiring females throw their bra`s at the rare Corrado Campaign,in a sort of Tom Jones hero worshiping type way :?: :?:   There HAS to be some reason for the thing doesn't there ;) Seriously though. I think VW made a bit of a mistake with the Corrado Storm, as opposed to the Scirocco Storms. These were very different from other Sciroccos (particularly at the time) and featured items not available on other Sciroccos (in the Mk2's case it was the first of the 1.8i engined Sciroccos and featured a new body kit). They were higher specced than any standard Scirocco could be which is what makes them desireable, not because they were "kitted" up end of line cars. I hope this doesn't sound as if I'm "dissing" the Corrado Storm, as, until I got the opportunity to get the Campaign, I too "aspired" to own a Storm (it even historically says on my web-site that I one day want a Corrado Storm to go with the Scirocco one. - note to self, must update that sometime) So in short, if "kudos" is something that you want to go with your Corrado, then YES a Storm is probably a good thing to have, as your chances of finding a Campaign are pretty remote ;) (no, I'm not thinking of selling ).

You'd still secretly swap it for a Campaign though wouldn't you Rodders ;)

If peeps haven't yet received their copy, please contact mailto:[email protected] with their membership number, and a confirmation of their address. I've had about 10 copies back already with "person moved away" stuck on them by Post Office.

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, oh dear... what a paintjob

Dusty Mauve is probably the rarest UK available colour (only 6 made ;) )

So where's all the entries for the caption competition then ;)

errr....???

The last batch went out this afternoon, so if you've not got it by the weekend, there's something wrong somewhere ;)

Very "Bling" though aren't they? I have to say, that having crawled all over the Bentley it struck me that the whole car was very "bling".

Or even cheaper, a Mk2 Scirocco, probably about £300 will get you a GTII or Scala (go for injection if you can, as they're slightly more economical... This one has 13 hours to go... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9873&item=2492105868&rd=1

Which Pioneer HU have you got? All the ones I've tried have had little problem playing 320kbps MP3s (they skip a little, but I think that's the discs I'm using) I have to disagree that VBR is better than normal MP3s. It compresses better, granted, but overall sound quality is very well, wallowy. 320kbps all the way now, unless I use Monkey Audio, which I do for my Vinyl, but that's unplayable in the car. (until I get the car computer...)

No, that's probably just the original steering wheel (pre-facelift type) I've got a different design in the Campaign (albeit in red and blue ;) )

Just to let peeps know, as Jim said, the latest copy I got back the first batch last week, but only got the final batch this afternoon. So I've been busy stuffing envelopes (although it rather annoyingly ties in with a really busy week at work). Most (if not all) will be out by the end of the week. Apologies for peeps who are in the middle, but they will all be sent out as soon as I get time Dave, the Campaign was the "feature car" the issue before yours  I don't think I've repeated anybody's yet. Try to get somebody new on each cover, plus somebody else on the back. Although I went for an arty shot for the back of this issue, after a visit to the local dealers on my birthday  (about 400 yards down the road!)

Currently got J13 VRG (JB VR6) on the campaign. (cost £250) Previously had C6 OVW (look suspiciously like G60 VW) (also £250) and before that A6 OVW, which came with that car. Also had AEL 27A on my old Granada Hearse, wish I'd've kept that one, but scrapped the wagon. Didn't mean anything, but an old plate nonetheless. Strangely my current hack-wagon (Peugeot 406) has the reg P 97 PUG, which I thought was quite appropriate, again, just came with the car. Best one I saw recently was 130LOX on a Bentley Continental GT, and also one of my mates' grandfather has 1 DAY, which he has been offered a 6 figure sum for, but isn't interested (I think he's got it on a S-Class at the moment  )

Yeah, the feeling doesn't wear off much either if you've got it THAT bad. Just ask JimG60 and meself ;) I'm on my third in 8 years.

Told ya ! Seriously though, I've had 3x Mk1s, 2xMk2s and a Vento (equivelant to Mk3?) The Mk1s were great runarounds, the cabrio was a scream, the Vento was wonderful, apart from the abysmal fuel economy (VR6), but the Mk2s were just.... nothing really... didn't do a thing fo me. They look pig ugly, have pretty boring interiors (plasticy and wedgy). Just MHO!

[puts on flameproof suit] Rearrange the words in the title... Mk2 Worst Golf Ever   .... [keeps flameproof suit on just in case...]

Some good advise there, though it's not strictly true that US radios don't WORK in the UK. They work, just you need to manually tune them, they have a different version of "RDS" over there. I'm looking around for a new head unit myself, and have a few specific ones in mind, but have generally found that ebay isn't necessarily the best place to get them, especially with new or "nearly new" stuff. I found a couple of Sony head units that I can buy cheaper brand new than some people expect sell them for on ebay (and often do!) Might be worth checking out http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk - these usually have some bargains for new stuff!

Might've been a GTS - one set of those were D Plate...

SP2 ? Looking for one of those ;)

All you poor tall buggers, won't fit in a GT40 will you ;) Being 5' 4" I don't really have problems with seat height, and find the Recaro's in the Campaign to be very good. A bit firm sometimes for my liking, but that's more the "leather effect" than a complaint.
