Latest info... The first 500 copies dropped in the office yesterday (Friday) and me and the peeps spent about half the afternoon stuffing envelopes.... I'll be posting these first few on Monday, so people should start to see them Tues/Weds. I should get the final 500 on Tuesday, so will do those on Weds/Thursday.

There, now that looks better already

Jim, if you follow me home I'll be passing the Hobby Horse, so I might well pop in to see what's going on after the AGM. It's about a mile and a half from my house {;-)

Looks like at least two Campaigns had Storm badges fitted to them (not mine btw), but Chris de Bono's had the badges too... When exactly did you buy the interior Majik? I hope it was Chris' as his was absolutely stunning, I nearly bought it about 6 years ago now, but, although I could've afforded it, I was doing 120 miles a day commuting and it would've just driven it into the ground. But then, five years later I found another one

Campaign replied to Ice White Socks's topic in General Car Chat
I always remember the time when I'd just picked up my 2nd G60 (Aqua Blue) and I was overtaking a SchoolBus on the M1 and the kid sitting in the back seat, turned around, picked up his camera and took a photo of my car out the back window... Felt well cool! -
Still prefer the 3.0CSLs though ;-) - Artic blue, blue leather.... oooh I'm getting stiff

Another quick suggestion, which has occured to me before now. Check the wiring on the "side repeaters" has not become frayed. Mine got frayed on drivers side and kept shorting out the whole lot. Just a thought.

I could probably manage this, I live in Leicestershire, but could pop up to meet you somewhere. Booked most Sundays in March though, so you'd have to be quick  -
JimsG60's Corrado G60 (New pics taken 13/03/2005)
Campaign replied to Jim's topic in Members Gallery
I think you've hit the nail on the head there with the difference between G60s and VR6s. This is what I've always said about the differences. The G60 is a great car to hoon around in, cornering beautifully and just putting the power down from nowhere to 6,000rpm. Whereas the VR6 is a more "quiet" relaxing beast, but still puts down the power from about 3k upwards. Great to see you're happy with it, looking forward to having a peak at it at the AGM. -
Oooh, it's nice to have a warm bum on these cold mornings

Well, s'pose I'd better chip in here.... (Ahem!) To clarify, they were released to the dealers at the end of June 92. The one in the press photos above (I've never actually been able to figure out WHICH one it was) actually had a "fake" plate on it, none of them were registered as this. I have records of 4 of the Campaigns at the moment, although details on one is kind of incomplete as the (lady) owner in Suffolk isn't really interested in the "scene", but appears to have owned it from new. Mine is the one from Gilders in Sheffield. The chap who I bought mine of, it was actually his 2nd Campaign (seriously!) One of them was recently sold (via Autotrader, and a little help from the forum). This was believed to be the Scotts car. The other one I know of is in London atm, on it's second owner, having previously resided in Northampton with a Mr Debono who sold it to buy his Ferrari (true!) This was the Listers of Coventry car. It is rumoured (though never officially said) that one of them was written off before it even got into the UK. I'm not certain which one this was. I've heard this from a number of sources, but as I say it has never been proved. The seats currently in Majik's car, I believe, were from one of the London cars, as apparently, one of them was in a pretty sorry state about 6 years ago, so it could have been this one, or it could have been the original one. Finally, my view on the interior is that it looks very much more "lurid" in photos than it does "in the flesh" as most of the photos are using flash photography and the seats aren't really as shiny as they look. On the whole though, it really HAS to be said it is a beautifully put together package. P.S. If you come to Inters you have have a butchers at mine if you really want

Errr... No! The look nothing like 'em! Campaigns had Monte Carlo wheels (rounded)... 8vs, well don't know what they're called, but I don't like 'em.

You'll have to change your forum name :? But well done! You'll love the G60 if you loved the 16v. Used to bring ear splitting grins to my face

MacLadds - Bloody excellent! And Apollo440 - Their first album was just pure class

The funniest thing about these copy protection systems was that if you stuck certain ones in Macs it locked the CD-Drive and the only way to get the disc out was to break open the computer  Most of the "Copy Control" discs are quite easy to extract onto MP3 or other format. However, back to the original question. Alpine do a "Multi-Changer" system, which allows you to stack up to (I believe) 6 changers up. You can even have the new Ai-Net MP3 changers, so you could have 61 MP3 discs (including the one in the head-unit) stacked.... I'd nearly fit my collection on that lot {;-)
