Water pump - RRP 73.57, to you £50 waterpump pulley bolts - RRP 0.73 each, to you £0.45 each (three of) poly belt (24.92mm x 1360mm) - RRP £74.03, to you £45. the waterpump is a reconditioned/exchange one, and so subject to a surcharge of £35, so I'd need you to send your old one back to me to send it to VW to have it remanufactured.

What are the Most Desirable Corrado Colours
Thursdave replied to Madjackal's topic in General Car Chat
I like the Inca blue that my g60 is. Nicest blue I've come accross, apart from that lovely one on the newer bmws'. -
Give Lynbrooks a try, amazing value money on my G60 as they'll class it as a classic! £134.14 for a year, 6k miles, UK and EU breakdown also. http://www.lynbrookins.co.uk/

If you have genuine proper ETKA (with a paid for licence) usually when you double click into the part number for more information it'll come up that it's been made obsolete. I'm not sure if that'll be there on the pirate versions, obviously. Sadly VW don't maintain a list of obsolete parts I could extract specific models from. The only real way is to ask.

I did a thing...

Oh yeah!

Arrived in Ghent with my g60 on my second attempt to the nurburgring! Wish me luck!

Yeah, that's quantum synta. FYI, quantum stuff is volkswagens own brand but it's made/blended by castrol, so it's good stuff.

How new was it? all VW parts have a 2 year guarantee against manufacturing defect. If it turns out it is the new oil pump that's caused this you should be able to claim for a new one, and for all the repair work under that warranty as consequential damages.

That's great, cheers Sanky! Just finishing my dinner then i'll get the same pictures of mine for comparison. Never mind, I'm being idiotic. Mines normal. Must have gotten confused when i was actuating it from under the bonnet by pulling the whole cable. Cheers for the help all!

I'll take some pictures this evening, I'm not sure I've got enough adjustment at the throttle body to make it like it should.
-
No I found the picture online, but I vaguely remember the description saying about how they'd fitting a TPS to is for a separate ECU setup. It was just to illustrate the two movement pieces.
-
No that's just pictures I found in the 'net. Pictures of yours would be great, cheers.

So presumably at pedal welded to the bulkhead, the lever actuators should look like the second picture?

Howdy Folks. Just been tinkering with my G60 before I go to Germany in it again (Fingers crossed!) on Sunday, and it occured to me to check the throttle cable. When the pedal is flat to the floor, the main pivot arm thing (for lack of a better word) doesn't hit the smaller pivot arm thing. In the picture above you can see the main lever arm travels in that little ) shaped groove. at pedal to the metal, it just hits the other end of the ) groove, but doesnt move it. In that picture you can see it moves the secondary butterfly valve arm thing when at full throttle - presumably mine should do this? If so, how do I adjust the throttle cable, and should I replace it if possible?

Passed the MoT on friday, took it for a nice 150 mile drive on saturday afternoon to stretch it's legs a bit, got in it sunday morning and met with a horrible smell of petrol and smoke from the bonnet! Turns out the fuel feed line to the fuel rail has sprung a leak. Cue new pipe and clamps and change the pipes out tonight and then further shake down runs before I go back to Nurburgring on Sunday morning! Fingers crossed.

Howdy folks - struggling with changing the cambelt on my G60. I've got 90% of everything off - Glader, alternator, waterpump, etc etc, but sadly one of the stupid internal hex head bolts on the crank power steering belt pulley rounded off. Now, i've managed to chisel it back into shape, and i've sacrificed a suitable multi spline bit to the old gods which fits and doesn't round out, and all is well. ... EXCEPT! when trying to undo the bolt, instead of just undoing, it turns the whole freaking engine over. How do i stop it doing this easily? I'm guessing best would be to get a socket on the central crank bolt, brace that against the ground with a long ratchet/breaker bar etc and trying to do it like that? any other ideas?
