  1. LED strip sounds good to me, wanted to change the main dash illumination colour for a while now! What's the one to go for?
  2. Give John Mitchell Racing a call, they supplied new feed/return lines when they rebuilt my G-Lader.
  3. Yes and no! If it's Marshalls it's the same company, but we don't have any sort of internal system, just normal post!
  4. Dont suppose you've got the reg of the car the AGU engine is out of?

  5. Just be polite! ask nicely if there's any discount available for being part of the owners club. If you get stuck with anything send me a message :) Yeah, let me know what you want and what it's off and I should be able to get almost anything. Wiper blades retail at £19.85 each, I could do a pair for £30 posted. :)
  6. Interesting! I wondered about what this was when doing the matrix on my G60. Did it before I started driving it properly but my heating has always been tepid, which combined with a coolant temp gauge that always reads very low, I figured it was a stuck thermostat, however the fan comes on normally, so perhaps instead of the stat it's a temp sensor and this silly valve? What would you do with the spare hose once you've removed the valve?
  7. where's this yellow connector then? I fitted an uprated, two relay loom a while back but took it off quick smart as it was a choice of one dipped of the other full beam only!
  8. In my circumstances, it's mainly because while I'd love to put new roof trims on my G60, like others have said, they don't actually do anything apart from look nice, and for £600 I'd rather spend the money on more needed repairs! As always, things are worth what people will pay, and if it was the only thing letting mine down I'd pay whatever they cost, realistically, however the roof trims are the least of my worries at the moment!
  9. I reckon £80 a set is a bargain for these, will probably work out at around £100 posted, I'd imagine? so compared to the current offerings it's a bargain, and it's a decent amount of part for your money! I get really irritated when I see little twee bits of plastic (like dash button blanks) for £40 or so, crazy prices! Put me down for a set as/when you get some, Karmmanski, anything up to £120 the set and it'll be golden, I reckon.
  10. I love an Up! they could do with a bit more power for my liking but they're genuinely fun little cars to drive. If the warranty runs out soon, it might be worth jumping the gun on the MoT test - get it tested before the warranty runs out and if there's anything like a snapped/corroded spring or suspension bushing etc it'll probably get done under the warranty.

    Hiii!

Another G60! Nice! welcome to the forum!
  12. if the filler cap itself doesn't lock, the flap should lock, as far as I'm aware.
  13. 535959565 01C, is used on T4 transporters. They're showing only one left at VW, RRP £75!! forum trade price £70. There's hardly any discount for them, sadly :( Cheers, Dave
  14. HOW DID I MISS THAT?! god, I'm so sorry. you're right, sadly I'm used to the newer cars where it blanks out all the un-used items on a car. You're right, the 3A0 numbers are used on the VR6. the closest things would be the mk3 golf ones I just linked.
  15. Nah, I can see that. I'm not saying those obsolete passat ones dont fit, I'm just saying that when it left the factory, it had the other ones. Wait. I figured it out. the 3A0 number was also used on the Mk3 golf (which the VR6 uses the running gear of). Incidentally, the steering knuckle / hub carrier is straight from a 1H golf (Mk3) so chances are it's been changed at some point. If you want to use the corrado ones, try using the middle hole in that picture above and the one on the right of the picture, that should do it. Heritage has the left hand one for a mk3 golf (with 293mm discs) in stock, which looks similar to those passat ones (https://www.vwheritage.com/shop/mk3-golf/191615311A/brake-disc-backing-plate-front-left-mk2-golf-jetta-239mm-d/?crumbStartPage=1&crumbStartRow=1)
  16. Hmm, someones put passat splash shields on in the past at some point. No idea why, maybe they offer slightly more protection? Anyway, those other ones definitely do fit.
  17. They do. They're exactly the same on all corrados. Try using one of the holes nearest the edge, and one of the ones nearer the centre (on the raised 'lump' thing)
  18. Don't know where you've got that original part number from? 3A0615312 isn't for corrados, it's from a passat. Is it normal brakes on your VR? if so, all the corrados have the same front brake splash shields, which are 357615311A. From what I remember when doing them on mine, they don't look like they should fit (because of how the holes and mouldings line up) but they definitely do! I vaguely remember that they don't go on 'straight', they're angled slightly. They'll sit only slightly out from the disc (a few mm out from the edge), so if it helps, put the disc on without a shield, then work out where they would sit - find one mounting hole and then use that as a pivot point to work out the other one, it might not be the same position on the shield as the other one). This picture should show the rough orientation of the shield, in case it helps - http://www.partscats.info/volkswagen/en/?i=cat_vag_models&brand=vw&number=1542&set=1546&ein=1992&f=76&hauptgr=1234567890&hg=6&grf=008830084&bf=118&hgug=615&ug=15&parent_id=381567
  19. I'll sign up for this when I get home, for some reason you need to submit a picture to register! I'm only about 45 minutes away from leeds, and like Jim Bowen, i've never been to a car show (not on purpose, anyway, got dragged around some mini shows when I was a lad!) Be good to put some names to faces.
  20. Edited for accuracy - they are not all the same.
  21. PM me your address, mate, I've a handfull here at work that we'll never use! I'll stick some in the post :)
  22. Go on corbs! Lovely to see another one up and around. Let us know how you get on with the AP coilovers? considering them for mine some time next year.
  23. Yeah, the N91127001 is the one listed for the corrado, but that's M10 and only part threaded: https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/158110_x800.jpg The other one N90967801 is M12 like you said and threaded all the way, like your picture: https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/360845_x800.jpg
  24. I had a quick check at my local crappy tescos last night and couldn't see it, despite there being practical classics, performance vw, landrover international and others! I'll pop into the big Tesco on my way home and have a quick browse for it there. sounds interesting at least!
  25. VW of America will be a separate company to the main VW company (same as how VWUK are a seperate company to VW proper!) I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on it, for obvious reasons, but also because I'm curious as to quite who will be given up for the slaughter!
