  1. GOOD BOY! How much power are we talking at the end of the 30th of July?
  2. Just looking at those crazy door card mouldings again - are they going to be strong enough? some parts look quite thin and pointy especially on the drivers side, is it fiber glass covered in filler? just checking it's all strong enough if anyone ever rested on it
  3. Ah Radas, it's all looking good mate! Those door cards/moulds look like they must have taken some time and patients - especially the passenger side! I can't wait to see some 4x4 powersliding/drifting!
  4. Hey Bally, car's looking good! Looks just like Ben's when he had the RC on! You still got the Eagle's and Mich Sports on?
  5. Well that sounds like a day of destruction to the poor Corrado. Quite surprised about the disks though, thought they were good stuff? maybe it's the pads? I'd do an oil change and check the brakes if I were you as that sounds like a Track Day!
  6. I've always thought it was stupid when people say "oh look at the size of his car, must be to compensate for something else" but with the A8/S8 it really is, look at the state of it (I quite like them but don't tell anyone shhhhh)
  7. StuartFZR400, My VAG system fitted last month is blowing - time to take it back to fitter. It will be fine. Note: its got a VERY quite tone until revd hard. I told you all  http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... 722#268722
  8. I know it's not on topic for this purpose but the S4 requires a relatively small budget to see 320-350 bhp while keeping the reliability i.e. no over-sized turbo's/NOS, just use AMD, Milltek and K&N (for example of course)
  9. "I personally would be looking at the Fiat Coupe V5 20v Turbo" Can one of the Mods please ban the use of this cars name on the forum - please Seriously though a nice 330d or 330i would be very nice for motorway driving. The 330d has as much torque as a 355 and does diesel mpg. For an all rounder to use on country roads, motorways, showing off etc how about a nice S4? Thats probably what I'd be driving if I had to do more than 6-8k per year as I can walk to work! 6-8k is purely driving pleasure
  10. This is definitely the best Corrado! I can't believe you're selling it I rekon you should ask Ben Taylor as he must be missing his old Corrado by now! Dam it I want it! would be cheaper buying this one (standard) against the cost of mine being resprayed ontop of the value of it hmmmm.... As others have said about looking after it properley - I don't have a garage either and it would have to stay outside I rekon you should keep it and get a little Corrado Baby Chair! Neil
  11. I've seen worse - remember the one on top gear with an American engine coming out of the bonet? yuk
  12. Asim - he definitely wasn't playing - he had the back out! Maybe his engine had seen better days but I could hear his engine being thrashed and those roads are quite bendy! Also as for Ben's he has Brembo's, the 4x4 and the power so I rekon it would win point to point. The UR quattro's have been tuned (1 I've seen anyway) to do 0-60 in about 2 seconds, I think Ben has a video link somewhere. On country roads in the UK I'm pretty sure 4x4 beats rear wheel drive (with more power) and on the straight roads you hit the speedlimit in a matter of seconds so not too much point in having high top speeds unless your planning on track days or Germany
  13. I've had an E30 M3 down the windy dual carriage way by stoner last year! I've also been left behind by a new M3, it was quite embarrasing actually  I imagine Ben's will embarrass quite a few 911's and M3 CSL's! 360 bhp in a 4x4 Corrado!
  14. Pretty cool I rekon, can't believe it's on the Top Gear site though? I've seen it many a time. The artist's last name is Chavalier hehehe like a chav that drives a Cavalier... oh I kill me hehehehehe
  15. http://www.gpcvwaudi.com/ It's also working! EDIT - Beaten to it! Tel: 01582 728892
  16. Just so everyone knows, which I'm sure most of you do, the prices on GPC website for the 50mm and 90 mm splitters are the wrong way around. Does anyone know how many screws are required? I'm sure there were some nuts, bolts and clips under there last time I looked? What is the "strip which screws go into"? E-mail FWD from GPC with contact details as their site keeps going down? SPOILER £35.00 - 50mm SCREWS £0.25 EA STRIP WHICH SCREWS GO INTO £17.50 ALL IN STOCK ALL +P+P+VAT JULIAN@GPC - julian francis [[email protected]]
  17. Lee's car is seriously nice, whatever you have been pushed to find it is still 12 years old approx and I doubt anyone has replaced every part on their cars. I don't think anyone on this forum would be happy if someone took photo's of one or two areas which weren't 100% and your car and stuck them in a post for everyone to see. However I'm looking forward to seeing more Corrado forum members car's in VW mags to compete with Lee's - especially Ben's! Would be nice to see someone get their C in a mag like Classic Cars or something also - maybe who ever buys the 32k mile C on ebay!
  18. marcus, If they brought out a new Corrado I would have thought our's would go down in value and after a few years come back up again - same sort of thing happens when new top of the range 3 series are brought out - M3's especially E30 M3's are usually worth more than the E36 M3's at similar mileage especially in Evo spec. Probably will depend on how good a new Corrado could be - could have a VR8 in! in that case I'm off to the bank manager!

  20. Just seeing if anyone else has similar problems - mine does exactly the same as Edd's post above. Only first gear from stand still and once or twice a month when shifting down gear's when driving fast and not using the accelerator pedal to compensate. Still no slippage, very smooth gear change etc
  21. I wouldn't use the trolley jack on the same area as the jack in the boot if I were you!!! You need to use it on either the rear axle area or closer to the inside at the front - I don't know how to describe it but you can see what is strong if you look under the car. If you wack it anywhere it'll go through the chassis The front cross member is strong place put you probably have to take off your front splitter
