Doesn't Guy do those..... -
Ah I had this problem when I bought my car, took it to Guildford tyres and they drilled it out, they require some hardcore drill piece to do it, phoned up some rescue prat who took a hammer and a socket set trying to get it off all he did was set the alarm off on my car a few times and make me cry

MK4 brakes all round/ tools I need are?

Ah I see and it's not one of those jobs were you can try doing some yourself and then take the car over to a garage (good old John) to do the rest as I may crash, I'll probably buy the stuff in, give the calipers a quick paint first and be done with it. I'm spending too much on this car at the moment :( -

Ah the moderator's... what would I do if you weren't here to help, cheers, I think I tried to hurry it up by pressing submit again and maybe again  Cheers for the info on the fronts Jedi, Does that mean the rest of the info is correct? just need the tool list and I'm set -
Hi guys I know this has been discussed a bit but before I go out and get everything I thought I'd just check... For the rears I need MK4 calipers, mk2-mk4 braided hoses, normal corrado vr6 disks and mk3 golf pads For the fronts I need mk4 calipers, mk2-mk4 braided hoses, normal corrado vr6 disks, mk3 golf gti pads and mk3 golf gti carriers 1. Please make corrections if needed 2. Which tools do I need to take the old stuff on and put the new stuff on - I have socket sets and trolley jacks and standard stuff but no caliper tools and such like? 3. Will this set up fit under speedlines/solitudes 15's or do I need spacers in the front? Any help would be excellent thanks Also do people think it is possible to do myself?

Does anyone know roughly how many Corrado's are registered to be on the roads in the UK at the moment?
-
anderstand, hai, sai, blui, uot??? who the what? where the why the who are you? but if you have a 2.8l VR6 with standard internals and that much power you had probably need to lower your compression a tad and by the sounds of the "bliu smoke" it may need a rebuild. Also try typing your first post into MSWord and doing a spell check - make sure the Language is set to "English UK"

Congrats mate!!! can't wait to hear the beast! sorry missed your call, went paintballing with my mobile and it got shot - can receive messages but not phone calls?? Gumball in Ben's car! Shotgun front! -
Asim or anyone - Just phoned up a few Koni suppliers and they say 3 year warranty only? If H&R offer a life time warranty I'd rather pay the extra and get them
-
http://www.deutscheperformance.co.uk/pa ... 150-5002-1 any cheaper than this? anyone doing any deals?
-
Got FK's mate - they're pissing me right off! Got the tyres on mate?
-
How's it going Asim? Well this is a good point  Who does the best prices I want some, will try and flog my FK's on ebay or something Are H&R's as good as the koni's and are they lifetime warranty also?
-
I'm trying to re-vive this thread as I would also like to know also? I might invest in some Koni's as not sure about the FK's I have
-
I don't know maybe give him a few pints of the old wife beater first and Gummy Bears might go down a treat?
-
my bad.... Good luck dood! Maybe take cash also - might be easier to bargain with?
-
the steering is better with 16's on? really? is that just because of needing lower profile tyres so a bit less flexing? Mine with 17's even with Mich Pilot Sports and Eagle F1's at the front kind of bounced through some of the corners - wasn't happy, the RS's are for looks not use IMO the fronts stick out too much. I'll be getting some Dunlop sports all round for the 15's I think, but 16's and Brembo's also sounds like a plan especially if handling is better, we'll see.... oh back to the thread Get drunk in the afternoon and go and look at it in the night time! :-P Sorry it's Friday and nearly time to go home!

"i paid £4600 for mine with 80k" really? good boy! looks bloody nice! How much have you spend roughly if you don't mind me asking? I'm getting round to refurbing the solitudes, might get some slicks for the speedlines

Okay I have a grandish to spend what to do?
biggerbigneil replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
yeah i'm lost i'm going to JMR tonight so i'll ask John! along with all my other questions..... -
no you can't thats a lie..... 4.5k gets a horrible VR6 these days. 6K for 80k silver VR is quite good, try and knock him down to 5000 though, maybe settle at 5,500? - silver is very nice! Make a point (if he's been looking at how much the going rate) that it doesn't have leather (actually knock 750 off) , and make note of any scrathes dents etc and try and knock money off. Check the calipers - fookin things Oil colour, Brake fluid colour - the one I picked up had turned black - 3 months later I need new lines and calipers etc Wack it in reverse and dip the clutch and get some one to see if the engine lifts up alot (keep handbrake on) - got that little gem from Guy and Ben Try and go along quite confident that you can knock the price down and be prepared to walk away as there are some other good ones around Don't go still drunk from the night before like I did and clear out someones garage as well for all spares..... Nice ones do require a bit of dosh but see if someone can have a look with you, as I was clueless when first looking and my mechanic friend and Guy were nice enough to help out
