  1. It’ll be the top bolt that attaches the hub to the suspension strut. Think it’s a 17 or 18mm from memory. You’ll need to jack it up, slacken it off and pull the top of the wheel out as far it goes and retighten. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sounds like a plan. If I was more local I’d be more happy to join you for a spin! [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I think if it was me, I’d put the standard air box back on or even the KnN and see if there’s a difference. At least then you can rule out the CDA. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Is it possible the MAF can’t cope with the change in air flow?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Strange, as these are supposed to be better than the K and N aren’t they!? I had a K and N cone filter fitted to my VR and it wasn’t very good at all, like you say, loss of power. Have you got all the connections, jubilee clips and the like, fitted securely? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Interested in the gauges but can’t see the pics. Any chance of a PM? Cheers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Oil pressure issue

When I rebuilt my engine it was very noisy for about 5/10 minutes. It’s normal apparently but scares the **** out of you for sure! If are worried though maybe get an oil pressure tester for peace of mind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ve looked at them on eBay and it says they work on corrados and they can supply the adaptor lead too. They come from Lithuania though, although shouldn’t be an issue really!? I’m tempted to be honest but would need an Android phone. [emoji30] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I’m would like the bonnet insulation (posted) if it’s in good condition/new. Same as above, can’t see the pics?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I’ll have these please. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rad elbow seal

Nightmare! Bad design definitely! I recommend getting an aftermarket one with the elbow integral unless you like to keep it OEM?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Rad elbow seal

This seems to be a common issue. I had the same thing and did use a sealant bought from Halfords and it did do the trick. When my rad failed at the bottom though I replaced it for an all aluminium one with the elbow welded in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Is the heat shield a bit low? Maybe lost the circle clips that hold it up?? If that’s all good then maybe a poly bush type hanger would minimise any movement up and down but still allow it to ‘flex’ about?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Spot on. Good to hear it's sorted! [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. O2 sensor would make sense. I'm pretty sure it doesn't effect the running/fuelling until the coolant temp is over 70 degrees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It says on there that the blue temp sensor has a big effect on fuelling and that the cold running map in the ecu doesn't switch off until water temp reaches 70 degrees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Not sure to be honest. Maybe unplug it anyway and see if the running issue still rears its head when warm?? There is thread on here called the ultimate cooling guide which contains some good advice. There's a bit on there which says how to test the sensors operation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Saying that, the new ones I have recently fitted are different colours so that might be different!! [emoji53] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Was just thinking check the three senders on the stat housing. The blue one gives the ecu a temperature value. The black one does the third stage fan and the yellow does the temp gauge on the dash and the first or second stage fan. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Ah,ok. Opposite side to the MAF then. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. VR6? Left hand side of the engine as you look under the bonnet? If so, my guess would be the MAF sensor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Sounds like a reasonable cause for the issue. I don't use mine an awful lot either, only for fun really. I've been told that the oil I use is too thick, it's a 10 60 Mobil 1. Apparently I should put a 5 30 in it!?? Seems a bit to refined for the old girl if you ask me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sounds like a dodgy tappet to me. Are they hydraulic like on the VR?? The reason I ask is because it sounds similar to my VR that has one sticky tappet, sometimes you can here it, others she's quiet as a mouse! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Help!

Have you put a diagnostic machine on it? I've heard crank sensors can act the t**t when hot but it could be a lot of things reading what you've put- throttle position sensor, knock sensor, or even lambda?? From my own experience of a similar problem I'd say clean the MAF. That cured my poor running, although it does come back so thinking I may need a new MAF soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Maybe the starter motor is a bit dodgy? Or even just the solenoid? Check the earth strap on the starter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
