Don't know about the silver badges, they may still be available from the stealers. If not a company called trimsport do some very good replicas, you will just need to go and get some sticky pads from Halfrauds as they do not have any adhesive on the back. E-bay may be a touch expensive as the rear badges should not be more than £10 a pop from the dealers and thats with sticky stuff.

Jim's Corrado - ciao to the Fiat! Hello to.. (P64)

Always was a great example when Scarlett had it and those pics really do it justice. -
Heh bugger the charger fund Nick, you need to fund the smokey head rebuild and chains first!! You are a magpie, 'Oh but it's sooo shiney!!' :wink
-
Yes it is all in degress Centigrade, you might be able to swap the dial face over but the MFA is pre-programmed on the PCB and is specific to LHD/RHD and country. As such get used to centigrade!

Nice one Jay, leading from the front again.. Going to be more of a programming project rather than the install to get it all working though.

Possibly a bit expensive frukz but is probably worth it for peace of mind. http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=102065&ts=96900&id=79478 or maybe http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=101436&ts=97082&id=34974 You can fit this cheapo alarm system, its only £11.99 and runs off a battery - should be enough to make them stop and run if they do get in past the door http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=101422&ts=97194&id=92633# 4 x heavy duty bolts in each corner should slow them down as well.

Better sort out a good selection of tools between us, with this many 'rados going one is bound to break down!!
-
Great one, with all the valvers being broken at the moment its good to see one go from a good home to another good home. :thumbleft:

Better get that sig changed then Jim! What happended to the desire for a 1.8 or has the temptation of a great car been the lure?

Young lad have a look at the article on the KB about gearbox ratios, if you then use the link at the bottom of the article to the excel spreadsheet you can enter gearbox ratrios from the kb tables and work out what revs / gear in relation to road speed.

IIRC the top plates come in 3 flavours. 1 16v/g60 up to very late cars (last model year for 16v) 2 VR6 these are a wider diameter, 102mm, I think and were fitted to early VR's up to around mid '93. These are the ones you will need for most aftermarket spring kits except for Pi as you can get those in both diameters. 3 VR6/Late 16v a smaller diameter spring disc was fitted to the VR after mid '93 and then to the last production year of the 2.0l 16v cars. Total trivia but it was fitted to allow for lateral force compensating springs to be used to give a better ride. If you are using colies then its not an issue as they should complete with spring caps, you can use VR top mounts though and I would personally recommend you do for a better ride.

Quality show, think the hamster was down near where I used to live for his damper van mods.

There is a company on the bay that will mix up and sell both 2pack and cellulose for a resonable price, they also sell the thinners etc to go with it. From the various articles I have read online the best bet for painting a scratch out etc is cellulose. The reason being that you can add loads of thinners to it to get an even blend with the existing paint work, IIRC around 3 parts thinners to 1 part paint for the final coats. 2 pack is nasty stuff and not only can you suffer from breathing it in but it also enters the body via the eyes and any cuts - hence the full face forced ari breathing kit. 2 pack is better for doing whole panels as it is easier to get a flat finish. If you do decide to paint anything I would highly recommend you get a high quality mask with a suitable filter, you are looking for a catridge type mask with a filter suitable for vapour protection not a dust mask. I am currently painting my GT6 in a back to bare metal job and am using a compressor and gravity fed gun. I would make sure that you drain the compressor of water and use a pair of inline air filters to remove the contaminates from compressor - last thing you need is oil and water in your paint. When painters say 'it's all in the prep' they actually mean everything aside from the colour paint you spray on. Base coats of etching high build primer are applied first then you should fill, sand and apply a guide coat of colour paint so you can see the imperfections. link: http://www.citroen-restoration.co.uk/ds/painting.php

Cool my table is being used! If you have a look at the end of the wiki document there is a link to an excel spreadsheet where you feed in some of the gearbox info. It will then tell you road speed and rpm at that speed. That should then give you an idea of why one feels different to the other and what the relative revs per gear are.

Passed MOT yesterday, funny advisory!..

Heh, most VW dealers don't even know what a corrado is let alone a G60! -
Quality, stop all those bloody wolfsburg monkeys like the one in the VWm this month. (Mind you the writers on the mag are just as bad, captions like 'Wolfsburg style..)
-
Erm, isn't the G60 charger around 80% efficient? A standard 'off the shelf' G lader is quoted at around 65% efficiency from the the brochure I have, but by the time they have been ported and flowed then the efficiency is well up from that figure. It should be possible to calculate the % increase for a porting job but as I don't know of anyone who has had a port carried out and left the standard pulley on it might be difficult

If i find them im gonna break their F***ing legs - updated

F**K that, a bren LMG is the way forward. -
Ah the first step on the road to recovery is admitting you have a problem  I'm just jealous really as your car is always exceptionaly well presented and it is clear the work you put in pays off.

Wonder how often we bid against each other on e bay?
Yandards replied to timg60's topic in General Car Chat
Yandards everywhere for me as its never taken :D Don't think I've got into a bid off with other forum members, although it does seem more than counterproductive. -
If I find them, I'll rip their f***ing heart out
Yandards replied to VR6's topic in General Car Chat
Would be gutted if I ever came out to my car and found that on it. It's parked too far from the curb for it to be an accident (anyone very watched women with pushchairs near parked cars?) Little to$$ers should have to spend all their time repairing all that damage to everyones car on the island, soon stop them from doing it again. Spend the day locking a few threads and moving some posts Tom, that should be some good therapy
