Cant manage a site discount like that m8,especially with the postage prices having just gone up.im actually paying towards postage on most things as yet as its a lot of work to go through the whole site adjusting things :( so im very competative on price at the moment. Stcik a driver around the bracket for the charger/alternator...then stick your ear on it. be carefull of any jewellry hanging around...try and listen for the noises place of emmitance? :? :lol: May be the plastic belt wheels...but as said above,i also had a similar noise when my water pump died. if anyone saw mine at the show and could tell that one was darker than the other then :oops: had a slight accident power washing under the bonnet the day before vw festival...caught a headlight with the lance and scratched it :roll: so i whipped the light out and stripped/repainted it at midnight before the show 8) gonna strip and repaint the other one tonight. ps:i saw this and had to do it,think it looks evil.

cant beat the old fashioned sand paper getting finer and finer way imo 8) look good m8 8) you could get a felt for the drill but imo hands are better,especially on a nicely shaped surface like that. if you sweep over a large area in an even pressure (hardly any,let the paper do the work) it will stop any dips etc. 1k/2k grade paper and autosol if you want em like a mirror 8) Neil.

hi m8, sounds like the ignition timing possibly wants pulling back a bit. does it pink under load at low rpm? as for the dodgy idle,he's probably thinking about just cleaning the throttle body out... neil.

yep,good point about the money spending leon.and ps:its just taken me ages to be able to reply to this :? anyway :D this thread is turning out really good! :D and this is one of the many options im considering (too many options is bad sh1t sometimes :lol: ),but hopefully this is interesting for others too! mmm,so its a case of either a pretty simple rebuild with oversize pistons,and other fancy work. or going with the ol' saying no replacement for displacement and getting a bit more complicated using longer throw crank/more customised pistons and wotnot... neil.

ian,cheers :D as for the pistons being non g60 specific :lol: i was meaning with having diffarently sized gudgeon pin,obviously thinking about it now,they are oversized but non g60 based because of using the 90mm crank? i was thinking along the lines of specific oversized g60 pistons...like these but then using the 90mm crank would cause valve clearance issues? mmmmm. any idea's on the standard g60 spec? crank throw etc? neil.

i reckon the porka's are really well suited to it m8 8) look like they were made for it! neil.
