    Pressed Plates

I've always used velcro :salute: 3 strips (both sides and center) from top to bottom. Neil.

    G60 vacum system

1/ It blows excess boost out of the bottom of the throttle body, back to the charger. This is called the boost return. 2/ Within the throttle body is a small hole before the butterfly, this channels to the other side of the butterfly passing the idle screw (Back of the throttle body) and hence air. Though this is minimal as when you change gear, the fuel cut off should kick in over 2/2.5k rpm. 3/ Same as above, but with no fuel cut off as the idle map is being used. Very quick answer btw as im currently knee deep in paperwork!
  4. Aye...but not being pedantic...99.9% of the time they are useable reference.
  5. I think my first post covered it! :? L plates are late, end of story!
  6. If it's a true 'L' plate then it will or should...have the late stuff the same as yours. But they never made an 1800 in that year, so it's probably a 2.0. Neil.
  7. Need to take this thing off the road again soon...Sort a few bits on it.
  8. Id pop the rear seat bottoms out, disconnect the sensor wires on each side, and check the resistance. Just like you did on the front. It sounds like a sensor is still faulty to me. ps:I hate the abs on the corrado! Would love to get shot of it! Neil.
  9. Glad they are back up and running, i've always really rated their systems :salute:
  10. Update... I have finally had to remove the standard system on the G60. I loved how it sounded but it was getting a little tired around the joins on the boxes. Bought a secondhand Magnex (Had them before and loved them) and what can i say? Typical Magnex, well built, sounds alright and looks alright. Still running the Motek decat, along with the Magnex. Before the magnex...standard system with a decat. Loved how it sounded to be fair. With the Magnex and decat.
  11. Cheers Tom, left you feedback in the 'Good sellers' topic :salute: You registered on Volksdevil yet mate? Or CorradoG60.co.uk? Eddy, maybe take it to (Dare i say it) A local powerflow outlet or similar?
  12. The interior is a bit of a story, even though i haven't got it done yet. Currently stands me at a good few months waiting and £800 quid! Plus ive lost my back seats and cards after an incident. All sounds strange i know... That's the one, cheers mate. 8)
  13. Sod off    Im sure there is somewhere in Blackpool too, but i just can't remember the bloody name. Anyone?
  14. Cool, thanks for the info mate 8) More company's i know about the better really, to get some more quotes etc. Neil.
  15. Cheers mate :salute: Guessing this would be the guys. I thought that most retrimmers actually removed the material to make templates from anyway?...maybe i have that wrong. I suppose i could sell the leather, it retails at £280 a hide  I have 3 of one colour and 3 of another.
  16. I know what you mean mate... 8) I don't drive like i used to so should be fine. 8) Im 3/4 decided on going for it, Just need the rear bench and trim back in there tbh at the least! My rear bench/cards are in bits with no material at the moment...long story.
  17. If you were going to go for a cam etc then it would be a definate thing to change really...You want to be going for 312/315cc injectors, then have a chip or mapping session done.
  18. Are there any other suggested retrimmers in the north that anyone can recommend? Cheers, Neil.
  19. If i were you (Not planning building an engine) then id probably throw a cam in there and then make sure the fueling/timing is good. What injectors are you running? Possibly worth going for an sns chip afterwards, I used to run a jabba chip and the sns made quite a difference to driveability/response. Neil.
  20. Not all rallye ecu's got them unfortunately...It's a bit hit and miss. Live remap will always be much more accurate and yield better results than an off the shelf chip. If you are seeing 14/15 psi then id be happy with that tbh, because it's the most you will see (15psi) unless you play about with other bits. But even then you are just pumping more air into the same restriction... Fair does, you will use a little extra boost across the rev range, starting lower down (Much like smaller pully)...But it would make more sense to look at the inlet manifold/cam/head to use the boost that's already there. Unless you have a few things yet to possibly change such as exhaust and manifold/good cold air feed, good condition injectors even. Im at a similar stage...15psi and 206bhp...But im going to build an engine that will eat all the boost a G-lader can throw at it, hopefully :D Still a few things to try yet though...Just fitted a magnex (was standard system at 206bhp!) and have a 4-branch sat here too. Neil.
  21. Annoying eh mate (Ive had motors with knocking systems before) Maybe you could rejig it Eddy? I had the system loosely in position, twisted the center section/suit case silencer so that it was as far forward as it would go (Very near to the heat shield) then nipped it up. Then twisted/pushed on the back box so that there was a fingers width between the pipe over the rear beam. Dosn't knock at all so far...Mine can't really do speedbumps though
  22. Just fitted a Magnex 8) Can't believe i've gone 5 years with the standard (decatted) system!
  23. Just got back from my unit after fitting the Magnex :) They can be prone to knocking/banging on lowered Corrado's but the 2 mile drive home was totally knock free! Sounds alright too, where ive joined it and clamped it up with new t-bolt stainless clamps is mint. Just a shame it was previously blowing from the decat/manifold, and obviously still is! I did really like how it sounded before though, sort of like a turbo'd motor/throaty, first vid is how it used to sound...second is with the magnex. Had the camera a little close tbh. Before the magnex...standard system with a decat. With the Magnex and decat.
  24. Aye, cheers for the input James. The car is used for work (Company car) every day on 6-9 short journeys, but im quite anal so it would definately be looked after. Im not one of these fat gits that slumps over the bolster when getting in the car, im always careful. Ideally id love half leather for the hot/cold thing you mention, but ive come up with a photoshop design in full leather that looks superb. I don't think half leather would quite cut it as far as looks go. I was planning to convert the seats to heated too, id do this before passing them onto the trimmers. I've had the Corrado for 5+ years now and although i keep falling out with it, I don't think ill ever sell it...maybe, maybe not.
  25. Nah...No recaros. I've never really known the difference if im honest? Do they have much bigger bolsters? I have the black/purple fleck front seats at the moment, and the retrim i have planned should look quite good with some embroidery thrown in too.
