I'll take the rear vw badge please -
Any of you lovely lot got front G60 callipers and carriers for sale?
Cressa replied to Backitin660's topic in Newbies Hangout
I've got the front dust shields that were incorrectly sold to me as fitting a vr, if you need some. -
The connecting plugs unfortunately are different.

I can't help. I've looked on different wiring diagrams and they state different colours. So the best way is to test using a multi meter. Sorry.
-
Do you have a brown/red one. If so test that one to check first
-
I did this on my golf and ran it all the way from the aerial to the head unit and connected it there. That way I knew my aerial was on the same fuse as my radio, and I was running this cable in anyway. I'll look for a wiring diagram to give you the switched live colour . I fitted the hirschmann aerial and it was perfectly OE and top quality. An easy job but I had to source the right adaptors at the head unit.

I'm going to say a big yes. Its a fun job. God luck

Apparently chassis number dependant for which oil, so advised to check with vw for confirmation

The g13 is correct. As for the power steering fluid I'm sure I've read on here about having to use the same coloured fluid so as not to have problems. Try having a search on the threads but there is definitely something about it. Good luck

I'll second the 'take the dash out'. It gives you soooo much room that you'll probably be able to find and resolve the problem without a full loom swap. And its only a couple of hours to get it out. Good luck

That has just been an enjoyable read [emoji106] . I must get some enthusiasm back to get the car roadworthy
-
😅 that had got to be the best ever 😅😅😅 Well done in sorting it tho
-
I found it was a bit of both. As the dashboard goes into position the wires want lifting up and around the glovebox and centre console area. Good luck
-
They look fantastic. I look forward to the cable routing
-
That's about how long mine run for. Seems ok with mine as it keeps the temperature down when needed.

Its nice to be able to give back for the help I've received on the forum

W068 919 081D black high pressure switch W028 919 081H was brown and is now Blue low pressure switch I was desperate so went to the dealers instead of Tps £13.75 each plus vat total £33.00 That was 3 weeks ago. Seemed a cheap fix for an oil leak so I can't complain. I did need a deep socket to undo/tighten it. I think it was 17mm but a quick job and I was really pleased
-
Could you put a picture up of the fob
-
I've not had this problem as I've a vr, but I certainly have read about this before on here. Try a search and hopefully you'll get lucky

A selection of VR6 parts, subframes, cable shifter, doors, boot etc

Could I come and collect the sunvisor this evening please. I finish work in Nottingham at 7 so would be after that. -
I found 2 spring clips in the bottom of my door card which explained why the switch was always loose. I refitted them and all was good. .. but it's come off again. I like the tyrap from behind idea as it's such a tight fit anyway

I knew I'd seen this somewhere. .. hope it can help

Oops. I think mine is the original. None of my service history says about it being changed. Perhaps it's something I too should consider changing as at this rate the whole car will have been replaced!!
