  1. Enjoy OZ. You really should see if the engine would turn over manually. A nice looking car, but 7 years locked away plays havoc with an engine and coolant system. GLWS when you return. It would be a nice project for someone, but would also need to be at the right price too.
  2. I only have a Scgrick fitted to a very standard set up, for now. But it certainly wants to go earlier in the rev range and well worth it. Good luck with finding one, you just need to be quick. I shall keep a look out for you. Don't be put off by missing parts as the can be worked around. I have a digital shift controller that switches the flap over and is quite cool as you can set the rpm and see what it us at. All works fine
  3. MJA, it's a metal flap inside it. But the cost of buying one, then refurbing it with paint and gaskets and anything else missing makes them an expensive toy God damn.... 🤣🤣
  4. 🤣🤣 no one in a corrado agreed. They were to go into a mk2 golf loom I am making. Something else that will probably never see fog either
  5. As Shaun says, de-ionised water. Cheap enough, although not as cheap as tap water I know. I'm no scientist but there must be a good reason we are told to use this and mine has always been fine. My daily has a slight coolant leak which I was topping up with tap water and this went mucky like yours. Good luck
  6. Good luck with your search. I think you need to be trolling FB groups to find one for sale. Big money yes, but worth the smile it gives you 😁
  7. Dox, do you have the female plug (socket) for the two front fogs still on the car? I am after 2 if you can help me with this 👍
  8. Nice. I cant decide which one I would love to have.... perhaps both 😊
  9. They were a pain in the ass for me in the last 2yrs. Fortunately I could get generic parts and the pressure sensor was still available (but pricey) Thanks Webasto. Definitely a mish mash of put together parts and a luxury in a Corrado. Can't have been cheap to fit back in the day on a new car!! Should have been a standard Vw fitment properly to the RHD not just to some of the lucky lefties
  10. Late to the party I know, but last time I removed the sump to make it easier. What a ball ache 😂😂
  11. Well, the Diavia is a pain in the Ass. But if you get it all working from the beginning it does the job perfectly. Well worth the money but you definitely need to remove it yourself to understand the wiring too. I have a full set of unused hoses if anyone needs them. Yes you will spend the same again replacing items if you want it mint but in this weather you appreciate it. And working it will add value to a car Get it on FB Dox if there are no takers on here GLWS
  12. Wow, great mileage but in a shite state. No chance of selling at that price but good luck to him
  13. Birthday treat, a Schrick oil cap 🎁
  14. Oooh nice, where did you get those boys from?
  15. Great bit of detective work 👍
  16. That is in the right place. Unless it is lubed, the dry seal tight fit can distort. Definitely worth the new genuine parts. The torque value is really low, but I am trying to survive prague 🍻 at the moment. Happy to check the Bentley when back, but I am sure someone will post up 1st
  17. I just put some plain Alpine ones in the mk2 golf. Same as fitted to the Corrado. Fit fine, you either need an Ebay pair of adaptor plugs for under £3 or use spade connectors. All cheap and cheerful, work a treat. I'm sure if you want the best someone will be along soon
  18. What is the limit before we get super taxed on imports as that includes the postage too...
  19. As long as it it is still a genuine part or the best available, I am happy anywhere
  20. Some people don't get on with Heritage, but they have always been good with me. I just avoid the topran branded stuff. I have always got my classic parts through them , with their help and that has always been good. Keyo uses someone else for classic parts that seems to work well for him And he's just replied as I am typing 🤣🤣
  21. Mine came with adhesive on the backing. I thought they all did !!
  22. That is a ball ache of a job with no easy solution apart from effort. Well done in tackling it as they always look great when re-foamed

I'm still having a good read even though I can't offer any solutions. Keep trying as we eventually get things solved. Then we feel good..til the next thing happens
