  1. Amazing attention to detail as always. I need to find someone that can do this near me
  2. 👍🤣, what a great purchase
  3. An outstanding refurbishment, which is only to be expected by you. Pushing it to the next level as always, looks fantastic 👌
  4. Good hopeful progress. I did notice on Classic parts Website yesyerday that they do a module B which says for mk3 golf and Corrado. I forgot to look at the fuse size on it!!
  5. Ha, I may just check mine for something to do. Although the valve and the new pump did cure my embarrassing Hot start issue
  6. Have you put a one way valve in and tried that yet?
  7. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125969078544?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9kIJdZBcS-u&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=SuQ1hX6ZSQa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Seems the VDO is a bargain.... 🙃😂
  8. I'm going to say NO. If all of those negatives need a good grounding, they are all sharing that 1 small wire. What does a schematic wiring diagram say where they connect and ground to?
  9. I wouldn't have thought a crack at the fixing point would effect the actual pump to preform how it should. It is just housing and the pump is sucking from the bottom. But I also get that something will always be niggling at you for if it is okay. If it came off and blocked the filter.butvit won't. At the time of the discussion on here last time, VDO was as rare as hens teeth and the price of Gold, about £170. I opted for a different decent branded pump that was 4 bar ( Lucas i think) and NO issues but readily available. It's a ball ache, but whatever you do will be fine 👍
  10. Is the rubber mount at the back of the unit not sitting in its back mount on the dash correctly... some people take this off. Although if it's sticking out that far its only just over halfway in!!! Good luck, or shove it
  11. Just checked mine, which is just a 506 same as tonedef. Even my spare is the same. Both 20A
  12. Where abouts are you? I used Nottingham Windcreens n the end and I had a choice with the top tin too. They admit they are a swine to fit, so get the spacer blocks from vw that sit at the bottom to hold the correct windscreen height. The 1st guy that did mine was shite.
  13. Oh that brings back memories. I think every window fitter must have been taught that method. I'm pretty sure you will have soon made the scuttle better than new again. Is it 9 or10 of the clips that are needed, I cant remember?
  14. 👍👍😂😂 it only blooming worked for me. Not perfect, but better.
  15. Well done in hopefully sorting it. Sometimes it is hard to go back to the beginning to check things as we are 200% confident they were done right. Always catches me out and I end up back at the beginning 2 weeks later. We can always send you a non AC FCM unit across the water if you need it 👍
  16. Loving the update James. The picture of your seat headrest and dashboard is just a tease of something soo special. Congratulations on the MOT and running around in her. Is the issue of Corrado driving always niggling issues that we sort out. If it were a daily driver would we not have that problem, or we just accept them easier and ignore them. My Passat daily has all sorts of knocks and noises but I ignore and keep driving. Yet a Corrado we enjoy fussing over them 🙄😂 Enjoy sorting the aircon. I stripped and replaced all of mine, with the evaporator being the nightmare. But it is cold and works thankfully. If I can help at anytime, shout up. Good luck 👍
  17. Cant help with this one, but see where you are going.. I thought ChrisL did his recently! Mine are in copper, but it is a nice idea to go down this route.
  18. I have wondered about this for my own Corrado, not that I can physically get it out of the garage yet 😂😂 But as parts become rarer and more expensive it would be nice to have an extra level of security. So I am wondering what anyone says is good or rubbish. I suppose there is an expensive top end monthly subscription down to a mobile sim in the car.
  19. Your car is looking outstanding, credit to you. Great choice on a decent alarm system as there doesn't seem to be much choice these days. Can I ask if you have looked into any form of a tracker. Our cars are so valuable to us and to thieving scum for parts. A tracker would be an extra layer of safety but not something I have properly researched. I might just start a thread on that to get people talking. I do love the Carbon and front spoiler on yours ✔✔
  20. Matt the car looks great 👍. I like to hear about the head work and cams as this is on my dreamlist Everyone needs a wheel stand in their garage for all our extra sets 😂😂
  21. Still here, just can't get the car out of the garage still. 🙄 I love the forum but the biggest pain is NOT being able to search now or move backwards or forwards on a page... That breaks me. I'm a Samsung person and no update has ever solved this problem. Soo annoying and overtime forces me to use this less.
  22. Are you able to test and make the fans run? Not by driving, but by linking out the sensors to make them come on. Maybe have the car on a charger too so that you have a good voltage and can spend a long time looking If a fuse blows straight away, it is an incorrect connection somewhere shorting it out. If a fuse blows after a while of usage the circuit is drawing too much current. If the wiring is of a larger size, you could try a 25A fuse say, as long as it is below the current carrying capacity of the cable Your fixing bolts to the controller do look good 👍 Good luck with solving this problem.
  23. The Bentley is great for most things, but not great on your engine. I wonder if Bentley did one for a mk3 golf! You can't beat referring to a chunky book for help.
