  1. 🤣🤣 Thanks for the offer. Its took me 2 months to do this one though.... !!
  2. I didn't have anywhere to fit the mk3 switch, so I moved the ABS switch over to a blank on the right hand side of the steering wheel. Needed to be a smaller one but easily extended the wires. Perhaps a lot of hassle but I like an electrical challenge.
  3. They are Corrado Recaro electric seats 👍

    Davina air con

Fla, to remove the heater matrix part there are two nuts engine side. One down by the heat shields of the exhaust and the other if I remember correctly is near all of the wiper mechanism. Needs a 10mm socket. One normally is easy, the other is a swine due to the heat and corrosion and it just spins the threaded screw that is in the plastic the other side Normally just clips hold the airbox unit to this, but the Frankenstein aircon model of mine was hanging!!
  5. Managed to get one wheel bearing done and back on. Unfortunately the 12 point nut needs a 34mm socket, which I dont have, so waiting for a delivery b4 i torque it up. Looks ok after a paint job Question... Do I still need to torque this to 200nm and back it ofg, then 50nm and 45° as it is a new hub? Hmmm
  6. Absolutely 100% great advice Dox 👍. For some reason I don't receive notifications from this and this next page malarkey that doesn't work is still a bloody pain.
  7. This is the mk3 golf switch. Illuminates as it should with lights on and when in use. Not dug out the paperwork yet for the wiring. I did find there were 2 different switches and only one worked correctly!
  8. I have pictures and labelled what colours go where. Between nights this weekend and doing the corrado wheel bearing but will find it all out👍

    VR6 leather gearknob

I'll keep an eye out for one 👍
  10. We need to have a conversation over this. Be easier to see what you have and I can explain what goes where. I do have the wiring diagrams sonewhere but if non of yours cut, all will be good. I can send you some pics too. I changed every single part of mine and even made up a loom to use mk3 golf switches as they fit better and look more original. I do have a switch that goes above the cigarette lighter but they do NOT fitt a RHD car. When you get the front end off and probably replace the condensor which is a standard Harrison part, the actual hose connection is incorrect and runs this....from standard too. And fortunately the drier is a standard part which needs replacing every couple of years anyway. The pressure switch on this was still available from Webasto. Christ doing this consumed my life, BUT working aircon in a Corrado is beautiful. Deep pockets time ££££ Fla, the flap should close when the recircling button is pressed. The fans run all of the time the aircon is on. Always keeps the car temp down too.
  11. Mine was riveted and glued. I had to cut down the sides with a Stanley blade and drill the rivets out 😳
  12. Ooo the aircon heater box.... I have plenty of pictures of that damned thing opened up. And alot of debris gets caught in there too. I made the decision to replace the aircon matrix at the time and Hell that was a journey.... for something that is obsolete. Good luck with what you decide, but happy to give the info of what I used to replace mine 😫👍
  13. 👍 Thanks for that. Reassurance is always good
  14. I had seen that too...that's why it is so bloody confusing. Yet 1 circlip being supplied by FAG and that Bentley picture is enough to convince me
  15. Is this a mechatronic that can be a pile of shite at times. My mate just had his wife's shit gearbox fault sorted by C&R Enterprises in Nottm. Crasher is an incredible font of knowledge that knows and likes his subject. More than one was in for repair... Although this was for a 7speed Seat
  16. Cancel cancel that, just found the vr6 section. I bow to your knowledge 👍
  17. Would appreciate that. There is definitely 2 grooves in the hub but the FAG wheel bearings only have 1 circlip as you suggest. Yet a Bentley picture shows 2 like my mk2!!
  18. Always nice to know you've sorted some 9f the dreaded rust. Looks good 👍
  19. I will do some research then. My mk2 golf definitely uses a circlip each end. Pretty sure there is 2 in a box so will check tomorrow. There are 2 grooves in the hub.... Need to get this right so perhaps get the Bentley out for a read 🤣
  20. I had the same problem with the lower front panel after a year and had that nylon coated, what ever that is. It cost more but is still looking good. I may just spray these with the halfords black enamel paint just to see how they get on. Just had a coat of anti-rust primer after the de-rusting. Unless anyone can recommend a hard wearing spray that I can do myself. It will have taken 2 months just to get round to doing this side 😇, so hopefully the other side won't take as long. Annoyed at it sitting in the garage gathering dust 🤬
  21. Sitting in some bilt hamber DEOX-C for a little extra rust cleaning
  22. Slow progress on this one. I have had the front wheel off for over a month, waiting for time to change the wheel bearings. They keep appearing as advisories on the MOT, which is a surprise as they have only been in a few thousand miles. What I found:- Everything I had powdercoated a few years ago seems to have corroded!! So I have just stripped the hub down and will do it myself. Thanks to putting some copper grease on the ABS sensor, this came out easily 👍 The wheel bearing looks to have been leaking. My bro in law did them and now I know why I had an issue. Only 1 circlip was used.... I have done the mk2 golf recently and they went fine, so hopefully these will have no movement. The damned rotor hub came out with part of the wheel bearing and I cant be arsed to try and cut that off as my grinder is broken. New Febi items ordered. Hopefully I can smarten this up and get it ready for an MOT this year, but it is blocked in still by a mk2 that needs its engine running yet.
  23. 👍 well done in sorting that problem and finding someone capable of sorting the ECU. Result
  24. 🤣🤣 I wondered where you were. Fantastic annual+ 1 day post .... I am a fan of grey leather,, even more so in the rarer Recaro form. It looks like you will be driving her very soon then 👍
  25. If you have the Schrick sat on a shelf I would say fit it. All easily reversed anyway. But wow what a transformation on driveability straight away. It turned it into an easier driving car and I havent had mine mapped yet. Or sell it and have the money in your pocket 💰💰💰
