  1. What's the corrado doing/ not doing Dox?
  2. 🀣 watch this space.... is yours out and about or tucked up keeping warm?
  3. Corrado officially booked in for 1st March 🀞 That Man flu is definitely doing the rounds at the moment so get well soon The Golf is moveable now so thatvmakes my life easier. It was supposed to be tuned today, but he didn't turn up.... stripping and sorting the bodywork next
  4. πŸ‘ Keep that gas flowing as I had to clear snow from off my drive this evening. 5 years 🀣 we should sort that soon then.
  5. Time moves on and thanks to having man flu and feeling shite I haven't been to work. On Annual leave so seems a waste.... As I felt slightly better today I put the mk2 golf on 4 wheels for its 1st time since engine rebuild etc. Not important, but it meant that I could drive this out of the way and get the Corrado out. Treated her to a well deserved wash in over a year and she came out looking good. Such a small pleasure So in between the business of life i can now get this booked in for its tracking and MOT. Time for some insurance quotes again
  6. Good luck with the rebuild and don't get any on that floor. Chris is the man to get inspiration from, just look at his thread. His engine is better than new, how the hell can that happen!! You kept it this long for a reason, so enjoy the ups and downs that are coming πŸ‘.
  7. Better than factory New πŸ‘Œ. Very impressive work
  8. The car does look great and a great bodykit. Be careful with that front splitter and kerbs.... Do you have a ramp in a garage to clean the underside after going out? Or accept that it can happily get dirty for the next 20years as everything is good there. Your car always looks great πŸ‘
  9. Top rh corner press the 3 lines and. Drop down box listing things. It shows subscriptions on mine. I have an early mk2 golf in the middle of being restored. 8v that I don't have the love for. And as a non runner it is blocking in my corrado!!
  10. Are you sure that is the correct number? Pretty sure the spring is available and the same across all the engines. I replaced mine on a mk2 8v golf last year
  11. And I was having a SPAM feeling on the wording!! Hmm. Anyone else !! πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‚
  12. Happy new year mate. Stay strong and stay here πŸ’ͺ
  13. Happy New year everyone. I'm still no further in this coming out of the garage. I still start her up every week and allow it to get hot and thebfans come on. Whilst doing this yesterday I noticed what looked like some kind of fume/smoke slowly rising up behind pcv valve area. This I had seen when the muffler Box had previously gone bang.. I have taken the rubber inlet elbow off that has a slight split at the rear. So fitted the old plastic one and all seems good. I'm sure I read somewhere that the rubber is a better fit with a Schrick manifold, but the plastic Corrado one fits fine No fumes so far. This year's mission is when the mk2 can drive out of the way, Karmann can get her alignment done and an MOT . 🀞
  14. An engine good enough to match your engine bay. Keep it goingπŸ’ͺ
  15. Amazing attention to detail as always. I need to find someone that can do this near me
  16. πŸ‘πŸ€£, what a great purchase
  17. An outstanding refurbishment, which is only to be expected by you. Pushing it to the next level as always, looks fantastic πŸ‘Œ
  18. Good hopeful progress. I did notice on Classic parts Website yesyerday that they do a module B which says for mk3 golf and Corrado. I forgot to look at the fuse size on it!!
  19. Ha, I may just check mine for something to do. Although the valve and the new pump did cure my embarrassing Hot start issue
  20. Have you put a one way valve in and tried that yet?
  21. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125969078544?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=9kIJdZBcS-u&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=SuQ1hX6ZSQa&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Seems the VDO is a bargain.... πŸ™ƒπŸ˜‚
  22. I'm going to say NO. If all of those negatives need a good grounding, they are all sharing that 1 small wire. What does a schematic wiring diagram say where they connect and ground to?
  23. I wouldn't have thought a crack at the fixing point would effect the actual pump to preform how it should. It is just housing and the pump is sucking from the bottom. But I also get that something will always be niggling at you for if it is okay. If it came off and blocked the filter.butvit won't. At the time of the discussion on here last time, VDO was as rare as hens teeth and the price of Gold, about Β£170. I opted for a different decent branded pump that was 4 bar ( Lucas i think) and NO issues but readily available. It's a ball ache, but whatever you do will be fine πŸ‘
