  1. I like them. Worth the ear-ache too   I think a little lowering could be in order though :norty:
  2. So Simon, you going 16vt then?
  3. Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, been on holiday. Just in the process of making a new batch, so they will be available soon. Shall I add you to the interested list then?
  4. I never make a point of undertaking anyone. I'll gladly sit in the inside lane and trundle past all the idiots sat in the outside line in heavier traffic, but that isn't undertaking as such. I have in the past got so irritated by some people just sat in the outside lane that I have made a point of undertaking and cutting in front of them, but if they have been there for that long, after flashing of lights or indicating right, as to have wound me up, it means that they really don't care what you do. and make no attempt to pull over once you've gone past them. As some people have said, it really make very little difference to your total journey time, and at the end of the day just say to yourself "well, I'm clearly a better driver than you". At the end of the day, the whole problem with motorways is there is no motorway driving in the test, and never has been, so all these people who p1ss you off, have no idea how to drive on them. I think it stems from the group of drivers who are scared of motorways, but find themselves one them. They sit in the middle lane as it is the 'safest' i.e. no trucks and can sit at 55-65mph quite happily. Then the majority of all the 'other' drivers who think they own the road, don't want to be slowed down by anything so just sit in the outside lane all the time. I say, educate the 'scared' driver and the rest will sort itself out.
  5. I like them, very different 8) What make are they??
  6. Hi mate, Dead easy to fit, although fiddly to do. Details are in the first post, but they are £60. Cheers :D
  7. My mates jet powered Hi-Jet! :cuckoo: :cuckoo: :cuckoo:
  8. I have to agree. Best base engine for F/I. Why not go 16v G60? Flusted has shown how easy it can be! Plus if you junk the G60 management and go Megasquirt all your running issues will be resolved :D
  9. No problems, but you are mad fitting a valver to your G60, Neil. And not meaning to be a pedant, (although by saying this I probably am) but the ABF is 236mm high , where as the KR and 9A are 220mm high, so a total of 16mm difference in block height. :dorky: (rods are 144mm in the KR/9A and 159mm in the ABF/2E (8v) :dorky: :dorky: :dorky: )
  10. The hamster moving out? :norty:
  11. That pic is a lot less complimentary than Sonicriot13's!!! Awful! I have to agree with that. I liked it until I saw that picture :pukeright:
  12. Fair play Dan that's looking lovely. I like the colour of the interior, will be a nice contrast with the body colour 8)
  13. Looks good dude! Glad to see MrsBadcrumble's bonnet came in handy :D
  14. Golf Mk5s, Tourans and new A3s. As far as I can tell, they are the same physical size and shape as the 02A. The have a single final drive unlike the 02M which has two. I'm sure I've seen one fitted to a Jetta with very little effort. The only possible stumbling block is the drive flanges, but I think they might well be interchangeable with the 02A ones, but I may be talking out of my bottom.
  15. I'd look for a new box. Maybe even a 6 speed?? 02S boxes should fit ??
  16. Weirdly, my early (89) valver has just the strips, whereas my late (93) valver had the script. I prefer the script :) So, YAY
  17. Without the spoiler....oh yes, that looks ace! 8)
  18. Yep, everyone who got in mine would say "bloody hell, this is low" or "Christ, how hard is this to get in to"! And I always used to crush the bolster getting in and out of it too. More annoying is catching the button on your back pocket of the stitching of the back bolster, ripping it! :censored: :brickwall:
  19. Ah. Bum. :( I've cleaned/checked the MAF and ISV, both appear to be working ok. And I've changed the Blue temp sensor, twice now, and still it keeps stalling on me... I'm out of ideas really... Mic, have you got access to VAG-com? Might be worth checking if there are any active faults? P.S. Can I borrow your Erwins?
  20. Just take the plug out of the back of the light, Jim. I did for my MOT. In fact "don't" do that as it is probably illegal.
  21. That's not good :( ISV? Oh and what's the next purchase then??
  22. Nice pussy, but where is your bra?
  23. There is some suggestion that 305mm Seat Leon discs and 'some' calipers will work, but not sure which :confused4:
