Snap. I'm want to do mine when i rebuild it too. Anyone got any info, pics?
-
I'm pretty sure they are the same for the V5 and VR. You find it to be a fairly tight fit though mate. I checked it loads of times when i did my mates Golf.

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the Lysholm? -
LOL too true mate

Mate if you want one, go get one!!! I was worried about the LHD, but by time I drove it from Slough to Cornwall I was used to it, it's really no problem at all. dinkus.....The weekend has flown by again what with a wet Saturday at Castle Coombe but I will endeavour to take some snaps this weekend :)
-

Well I have considered this mate, but they would HAVE to be HID'd, and then we are into a fair few quid. We'll see................. Thanks for the comments chaps :D

They sell all these stickers in a surf shop in Newquay only about 15miles away from me. They are very popular with the air-cooled boys

I run a 68mm on a standard but recently re-built charger, and it flies! :thumbleft:

 would if I could, but I can't! The vRS is the perfect car for us- we need an estate, and out of the 'affordable but quick/reliable etc' cars out there it's miles ahead. The only others that come vaguely close are the Passat 1.8T (on the dull side, more expensive, slower etc) and the Rover ZT (over styled, poor mpg, reliability?). Contrary to what some have said the vRS residuals are also very good. With a turbo-back exhaust, CAI, ABD turbo elbow and Jabba remap it will be around 230bhp and quicker than my C. If you want to go the extra mile with FMIC, K4 turbo etc you're then over 250BHP and a bloody quick car! Obviously it won't have the kudos of a Corrado, but it's a damn good replacement. I agree mate! Do it!! :D
-
Correct me if I am wrong but I think you will find the Octavia is actually based on the Golf 4/A3 platform. It's the Skoda Superb which uses the Passat/A4 platform.
-
I love those!! I very very nearly bought one before I bought my G60, at 21 most of my mates thought I was mad. But 225bhp 5-pot turbo taking you to 150+mph was sooooo tempting! And as mentioned above, a 600quid re-map gets you to 300bhp! People might laugh at your Volvo.......... until you blow them!! Awesome machine 8) 8)
-
They are both digifant managed. One is the earlier engine (2E, ADY) IIRC and the later one was AGG, or at least it was in the Golf and Passat anyway.
-
yeah for now... Lucky B!£?ard!!!! :D
-
Looking forward to seeing this mate :thumb right: So the Rallye is "just" a daily driver hey!
-
I thought so! So presumably you can only set it at idle, then the map on the chip should sort the rest? And what happens if its out?
-
How do you go about adjusting the air/fuel ratio on the road then mate?
-
I didn't think you needed a seperate probe to run an air/fuel ratio gauge?
