PhatVR6's 4wd 24v Corrado (new brakes)
Louie Lungbubble replied to PhatVR6's topic in Members Gallery
Phat. You do realise, THAT enigine in THAT car could f**k up space and time if used irresponsibly ?? You may end up going for a bat down some country roads only to return to find pterodactyls feeding off your bird table! -
 That's the best analogy I've heard in ages!
-
Don't tell me..... You've got a valver? Ha ha. Dunno what that Puma might have had under the bonnet, but I learned a lesson early on in my 16V Corrado ownership. Driving the car back from the original purchase, I couldn't convincingly lose my mate in his 150k 1.8 Mondeo. As someone else on here with a valver says in his sig. "Not 1/10th as fast as it looks" May be true, but I wouldn't part with the blighter for anything. (Well, maybe for a G60 or VR)

Give me a pylon over cabbages any day!
-
Sheeeite. Again, really sorry to hear that Dinkus. But as Yandards says above, at least you got out. And although pylons hurt when theyre hit, it could've been an artic coming the other way. Small mercies and all that. :|
-
Dinkus noooo! G U T T E D For you mate. How did you manage that? :(
-
(Yes, I'm VERY bored)
-
Ahhhhhhh. That'll explain this then.........
-
Direct injection tuning? My car's got a big wind-up lazzy band for an engine, and I'm still stumped when the bonnet's open!
-
What engine's in it to get 200bhp? Have they gone for turbos again?
-

Was that the one you managed to slip in behind the swear filter, before what I quoted above???  Heh heh.... hope you sort it, mate. :) -

Rob_B, My pas fluid pipe went t!ts up recently. (It may be my post entitled "Will I kill it?" JimsG60 recalls) But he's right in saying the stealers wont let you buy the pipe without trying to sting you for a whole rack! And if it's correct that main dealers only fit new gear as opposed to fixing the old, I think you're gonna be on the phone to that mate of yours for some bespoke pipes! :? -

Corrado Spotting - December 2004
Louie Lungbubble replied to mildmanneredjanitor's topic in General Car Chat
Passed and flashed a dark metallic red Corrado (poss sherry pearl?) on the Windermere lake road sunday morning. Didn't spot what model (or a reply for that matter  ) but neither of us were hanging around. Any takers? -

Louie Lungbubble replied to jedi-knight83's topic in General Car Chat
My boss has got an S8 in the same colour. Looks a bit funky on an old mans sports car in my opinion, but think it suits the 3 spot on. Good buy mate. :thumbleft: -
Where to get my Head Flowed??????? Help Please?
Louie Lungbubble replied to rado-steve's topic in Engine Bay
I've read that people put 2.0 bottom ends on 1.8's (and vice versa I think) But to be perfectly honest, I don't think my pockets are deep enough at the minute to cover it. I would like a bit more performance out of my motor (who wouldn't?) but I think improvments will come from getting it running as it should, rather than modding it to be a better standard than... er.. standard. Anyway, I've Hijacked Beeftech's thread a bit here. Sorry mate. -

Cheers Phil. (And Henny) Makes perfect sense mate. But by opening the ports out to gain more power, are you not just moving whats already available further up the rev range? My Corrado's pretty gutless below 4000 rpm anyway. So apart from smoothing out of the airways to improve how the gas moves, would there be any point in opening up the ports on a 1.8 ? -

Louie Lungbubble replied to rado-steve's topic in Engine Bay
Ok. Stupid question time. What DOES flowing the head involve, and how does it benefit the engine? -
Heh Heh... Sounds like one of my excuses that. "It's not a Quirk, I designed it that way on purpose" :)
-
That's ok then. Thought I was cracking up. (My first VW)
-
Dunno why I've only just noticed this, but does everyone's brake lights still work with the ignition off, like mine do?
