Same here... Even remembered that opening line, forgot it was for the 'Rado though. What is the terminal velocity of a freefalling beetle anyway? Depends... Is it a European Beetle or an African Beetle?... [P'twanng] Euuaaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!

Funniest ever, but I'm as baffled as Georgie here!

Was a bad lad Friday after work, and for the first time since sorning it last year, took my C round the block for a quick spin to make sure she was ok. Now you can go for months in Skem without seeing a cop car since the police station closed (can you see where this is going?) and yep. Halfway round my 400m journey I went straight past an armed response Galaxy coming the other way. :pale: Nothing happened, but I think that was the Karma lobster giving me a gentle kick to not try it again. Anyway, my life of crime over and safely back on my drive I couldn't get over how much I'd missed the thing and hadn't even realised! Gotten far too used to sailing around in the Bismarck since December, with it's speedbump eliminating suspension, lock to lock with a single finger steering, and superb all round visibility. Had even entertained the thought of not doing the work on the C, sticking with the easy-life motor, breaking it, and just getting another when I could afford to do so. But after my spin, had to have a stern word with myself. Felt amazing to drive it again, and was like getting in one for the first time. The gearstick is so close to your left leg, the steering so heavy and the driving experience is just way, way better than I'd remembered. No real point to this thread othe than to say Trust me... Any of you going through that "Shall I get rid" phase, just borrow an Audi 80 or some other ocean going dreadnought for a month, and then dive back into your C. Roll on the spring and the "Big Fix" is all I can say. (....and breathe)

How about some pictures of our members ?

Dunno about NeilEnglish looking like a famous DJ. Think CorradoVR6-nos has got that one sussed! -
They look a bit like this As said above though. Seems to happen quite a bit, and more often than not it's the white pressure switch/sender thingy on top of the filter head. Don't rely on that, though... Could always be something more serious.

What's the worst car you've driven?

Thought all Pug's usually handled ok, despite the model? -

Sierra. Didn't realise how bad they were till I borrowed my Sister's. -
I'd love to do more work on it than I actually can. If we all had large garages which were warm, dry, well lit with ramps and an endless supply of tools on the back wall, most garages would go out of business. It's the facilities to do the work in which is most of the problem.

Christ... Airbags weren't helping if that'd been a few feet to the right. :pale:

The Celica 190 aint turbo'd but also ain't European either EDIT- D'oh!

Yeah, it's certainly not normal. Mine needs all kinds sorting suspension wise. Sounds like Dom's is heading the same way. So looking forward to being able to say that! :)

Thinking "It's not as fast as I thought it'd be" :( Then "Ah sod it.. How cool does it look?" :D

With roundabouts and stuff you tend to turn right in your car more than you do left, so whatever it is thats worn out will show itself on righthanders first. Mine's exactly the same btw

Saturday was a strange day. First off, got an chuftie for the Audi  Was filling up, and some bloke in a delivery van crosses the forecourt and starts yapping about 80's, how he's got one, and how good condition mine was in. Never had that happen in any other car than the C Then about 2 hours later, I got flashed by someone else who passed me in an estate version! Think I've been "Spotted!" Bit off topic I suppose, but it's my ball (thread) and I can always take it in.

I think that spoiler's supposed to look mean, but just reminds me of

Should I get my VR resprayed - is it worth?
Louie Lungbubble replied to Nick_Micouris's topic in Exterior
Your car will always be worth that bit more that any other comparible VR, Nick. Simply caus the fact it WAS the one on TG. Don't let the age of the car sway you either way. If you want it looking tip top and you can afford it, go for it. -
Know the feeling. Mine's sat in the garage calling my name, but I have to walk past it and use the new (temporary) barge. Heartbreaking. It's like turning your back on an old faithful dog that's whimpering for a walk
