Ended up going with Infinity 9603i's. Fitted them this evening after nipping down to b&q to buy a jigsaw :) Really happy with them - had a listen to about 8 different ones in shop first. The JBLs had a lot of bass but they were very unrefined compared to the infinitys, the equivalent kenwood/pioneer etc didnt come close to either IMHO :) Was an easy decision after listening to them all. oooo.....and they look cool being white :)

can I get one for me nova??

talk to the hand ;) Thanks m8 :) ...errr...let the voting begin ...to vote 65mm text VOTE 65mm :D (I have 68mm for the record)

As the poll on main page indicates the most users on this board have G60s, can we have a poll set up to show what pulley sizes everyone is using? how about: - Stock - 70mm - 68mm - 65mm - less than 65mm  (Please add in other common sizes as these were the ones I could think of)

Who has the green corrado (not sure engine) in Aberdeen? (not you Roddy ;) ) Passed a guy as I was turning into Great Western Road the other day and he gave me a wave - I assumed it was fellow C owner being friendly - not someone I have met at a meet was it?? :)
-
You know what I mean Roddy ;) The spoiler on that chrysler thing looks like a flap on a plane. Totally poop - would be better if it was a solid unit

Anyone got any ideas - was hoping to buy tomorrow :)

I thouht VW did it first as well: Late '89 964s had them and I thought that was before the 911 did?? not sure tho so don't berrate me if I am wrong :)

Struans is not that loud on idle much the same as mine - but the boost being dumped is a fair bit louder, most of this is probably down to it running higher psi, although it would make sense that with a filter the noise would be louder as the air is being forced out through it? The characteristic of the noise is the same as without filter - just seems louder

I am looking to get a new set of 6x9s as well. Was considering the following: Infinity Reference 6903i £49.99 (usually 100+??) Kenwood KFC6979ie £49.99 SONY-XSF6932 £55 Just to be used with a 4x47W kenwood headunit. What is best? I am thinking the Infinitys

What have you done with the throttle body since removing boost return? And do you just have standard injectors with the 65mm pulley? I have mine left open at them moment but am considering putting on a green filter.

I really like the look of this Corrado - what skirts are they as they go very well with the standard front and back bumper imho.

I have the following engine mods on my G60: Induction Kit Decat/Exhaust SNS 'Stage 5' chip 68mm Pulley 3.5 Bar FPR Stage 4 Charger Boost Return removed Would it be worth my while fitting a smaller 65mm pulley to this? I really would like to to get the extra low down torque and a few more horses from higher up. My concern is that the fuelling won't be fully up to this? Also, should I be looking to reroute the ISV to gain full psi potential? (especially with a 65mm) as I have read several pieces about it limiting max boost. Seems to be a fair bit of conflicting info so opinions welcome please :)

Could the reason why I don't notice much noise whilst not WOT be that I don't have a filter on the TB? I just have this open so could be that as nothing is blocking it the pressure blowing out is not hitting anything and thus not making much noise?? Just an idea :) Any ideas?

It will be much quicker than the 8v. The 0-60 times on paper are not very useful as they show it as being not *that* quick, mostly due to gear box. The G60 has way more top end and a higher top speed. However, say from 50-140 they they are much quicker and without doubt, handle a lot better to. The thing to remember is that for under 200 quid you can get a good 190 bhp from a small pulley and chip. I went from 8v GTi mk2 (as did many people) and even as Standard the G60 is quicker for sure - by a fair bit - then once tuned a bit it will out pace and out handle a lot of cars on the road. Ignore the numbers on paper for the G60 and bear in mind they have 160+bhp as standard and are easily made up to 200bhp for not much cash at all. Don't worry about buying one and being disappointed with it compared to the 8v - you won't be. I reckon the people that are tellign you it will be slower will just be comparing the numbers on paper :)

Aye - I would say most problems will be with running gear as the cars are getting on a bit so it's to be expected. Shocks/Springs/Bushes/Arms etc... will most likely be the things that will be most expensive. Then the usual stuff like brake pipes etc...

Halfords have 2 for one on car cleaning products atm - they have a special interior one for cloth etc with an attached brush thing. I got some int/ext glass cleaner and console wipe stuff today for 4 quid.

Mine 'failed' last time for not having visible rear reflectors as my lights are tinted :) Got garage to whack on a couple of sitck on ones which were swiftly removed before driving away from garage! Last one it had it 'failed' with illegal number plates! :) Good luck!
