i've just picked up a tdi mk golf 'P' plate - can I use any of my vr bits on it? - its got a hole missing on the wheels (4 stud) but i was hoping the suspension may be interchangeable???
-
i can deliver for £22 for those who have probs getting them
-
is that not an obd 2 style one? I can't remember what mine looks like but i could do with a spare if its not the one 24v R needs, chris
-
hoping to get some vids of mine on shortly with the charger, 3.1 etc.. got the wife and child to listen to it - the wife jumped in the air and the bairn ran in the house crying ....... (it was a bt loud...) chris vr6 nos was stood listening when i booted it and was amazed at the noise - hopefully will have something that sounds even better than this shortly.

i was considering the c2 kit but when th vf kit deal came up i plummed for that. the reason i decided this is 1. uk support and yes it has been required as can be seen in the supercharged thread - wouldn't feel comfortable with the level of support for the c2 kit 2. proper map provided - some debate about the availability or quality of the c2 map - previously the kit only supplied bigger injectors to prevent lean running - this is only half a solution 3. v9 charger s trim trim quiet and smaller and fits corrado better - v1 &2 less efficient and bigger and bulkier and noiser 4. afermarket uk support for parts problems and further development 5. already know 3 other kits that work well, have been ultra reliable and well supported

-
specially when youve got an extra hole to use - oops wrong thread...
-
aren'tgrinders great chris
-
actually i think you're right - nothing better than having a spare hole to fill when youv'e managed to fill the other ones
-
they're growing on me as well Actually they're reeeeaaaallllyyyy cr4p - i'll take them off your hands and use them as winter wheels just so they're not gathering dust or clogging up valuable garage space :)
-
you must have some spares i can have???!!! :) (Please)
-
i like the allegro comment - i would use something along those lines and say, "You'd obviously feel more comfortable if I bought something like and allegro but that would still be more original than your beemer and still make it look sh1t!!!! What a moron.
-
matter of an extra hole i think chris......
-
i have the full mk4 system from bigpantsbaby so will be using that - will probably be looking to cx the control panel but can live with it for now - its the rest of it that concerns me. from your last post, i take it the control panels are interchangeable then?
-
ya cheeky bassa!!!!! are you suggesting i'm that fat ugly f&*^£r in the corner??? Thats chrisvr6nos - if you look closely you can see him breathing in and turning blue, holding his gut in :) Fair doo's to him anyway cos we been like a couple of oily grease monkies the last 2 night beavering away after work till late to sort it out. Part of that might be cos he's going to use the engine coming out mind :) The glows probably divine inspiration -

i've got climatronic to fit - a breakdown of that wold be nice collrado - i've heard you have to fabricate brackets for the vent sensors? Haven't really investigated yet but any tips would be good.....
-
your right, you don't want to do this job - i'm told its easier 2nd time round but i've only done it once and didn't enjoy it. Theres an urban myth going around that you don't have to remove dash but i can't see how it can be done - i stand to be correct tho....... watch out for the 2 nuts taht bolt the dash to the underside of the scuttle and need to be reomved from under the bonnet below the windscreen behind the wiper mech. Good luck :( - soory to be so neg.
-
Far too tidy, supercharged - you obviously don't do enough in there!!! :) I've some more pics to upload of the mayhem of having x2 2.9's , a 3.1, a 5 speed box, a 6 speed box and various flywheels, oil and water on the floor and 3 weeks worth of news papers to soak up the crap - as well as me and chris :) Dink - how'dyou mean, lax - was this a secret lil mod you didn't know i was doing?? Wouldn't have bothered until i'd got some forged pistons and taken it out to 3.2/3.3 ish but after snapping the spark plug in the std engine, it seemed a shame to switch heads on an engine that was coming out anyway -so now the ABT Long Throw, lsd and 6 speed are all going in in one fell swoop - should be sorted for the weekend :)
-
theres loads in yards around me ving
-
i've got 3 but your not close GIX - got 3 std ones as well with regard to the grab handle, i would suspect you could cut a std trim as the lil wedges will cover the cutout - i may be wrong tho cos i actually had a LHD trim For the handles, i'm sure i fitted a corrado nearside one and they're therefore ambidextrous - the mounting holes are certainly in the roof but you might need the spring clips.
-
take it i'm the only one contributing?? - ah well... it is my thread i s'pose... ABT Billet steel long throw crank imminently fitted with supercharger and 6 speed LSD :) Fancy a race Mr Hill, i'm sure you'll win :)
-
rmn - disqualified - picture evidence required. i've really PMSL at your interpretation of my "specialist tool" Chris - but i s'pose its not far from the truth but wasn't intended
