lightly tack them on and see for yourself :) i honestly think it will look better with silver badges. and the vr badges back on - i dont think its a stealth option at all!
-
personally prefer all standard - chrome badge, silver VR6 badge and black grill. rear all standard - chrome VW, corrado and VR6 badges. a chrome front badge would look better than the colour coded one imo. why leave the VR6 badges off?
-
sure i've got a spare bottle of the 02A fluid - I bought for my g60 but never used it. can have if you want
-
Wow love those rolling shots. Reminds me that the Corrado is still such a stunning car. Well done with it, looks superb!
-
you sticking with the engine simon?
-
did you go through with the 24v conversion?
-
keeping busy mate! Those seats should look nice - what are you doing with them then?
-
Where did you get the short antenna?
-
i'm like the interior lighting - did JMC do them for you?
-
that looks very nice mate :)
-
are those gemini 3-6 sets still going sean?
-
No worries mate - seriously download a calculator and you'll see the differences every change makes
-
Are you changing 5th james? Going to do this to help consumption on the way to the alps ;)
-
Nope wrong mate - the final drive shortens your ratios. The result is a reduced top speed but better acceleration. As your 5th gear is affected - you can counter the change in that gear by fitting a different ratio from the original 5th cog - thus giving you a taller 5th for cruising. Gears 1-4 are shorter so good for acceleration. The 3.68FD comes from the G60 box. A taller 5th comes from a diesel box - details are on the wiki. Download a ratio calculator and see the differences and speeds achieved from each gear - it'll make sense then :)
-
You can fit a 5th gear from a diesel iirc - so you can retain that relaxed cruising you enjoy :) Probably 100-200 from VAG - as is the final drive.

Ordered the night breakers - will put up feedback on those - read that the night breakers gave off a slightly whiter light - suppose i'll find out this week
-
Retrimming the headlining and pillars will cost around 550. Need to be sure you want it!
-
Anyone tried the Osram Night Breakers? They're 90%/10% and also highly rated. I can't find where to get the Phillips in H3 and H4. The Osrams come in H3 and H4 though. Any suppliers for the Phillips?
-
I'm not a fan of the uprated headlight loom - the connections worked loose once which led to a scary 5 seconds - and water has also led to another scary 5 seconds. Think the bulbs alone will be enough
-
done 2000 miles from london all round scotland and back - no problems. its going to the alps this year. as rob said - perfectly capable and nothing to be afraid of - ensure your car is tip top first of course.
-
sorry call me daft but not following that dave. I've separate bulbs for those lights. What am I missing?
-
Can the sidelights be changed to something better than the crap VW sell? They barely emit any light...
-
wonder if anyones got a pic of them fitted
