what short/stubby aerials do people opt for?
-
Thought about getting these wheels back on that car (its mine pictured in your post) but up close theyre not as nice as i hoped - wasnt keen on the soft rounded edges on the spokes.
-
kev - that install is superb!
-
metallic black is an awesome colour - the same colour as my old g60 - i really miss it! has it always been met black? i always thought it was midnight blue!
-
yeah that can happen - same happened with my g60 - off the road for 10 months! good that its back! :) when you 1.8T'ing it?
-
Congratulations mate! Great stuff. Very much looking forward to seeing it in full force this week now :)
-
mk4's are generally priced around 8-10k - for a good example. still think thats very reasonable for the car you get. will likely be the next car i own

sorry to hear about the charger mate. thats a real pain in the ass. i remember when i had my old g60 - as much as i liked the g60 engine i was never happy about the charger unit itself - always on my mind that it would be best gone. after reading loads i really settled on the 1.8t being the best move. not a cheap replacment for a 500 charger, but a much much better replacement. good luck with sorting it out...

Chris Langdon's Moonlight Blue VR6 thread!!!

from reading the threads on the diavia system - i actually dont think it would be too hard to fit. you'd need to be prepared to buy a few new parts like condenser and drier though. Just the compressor would be 10+ years old now. And agree with Zak - the amount of times I used the air con in my gf's car - I'd def make use of it. Have been starting to look into fitting the later climate control system from a passat. -
alternatively just get a mk4 r32..
-
That will be the same with any nice car though - be it a new one or an old one tarted up. A second workhorse is def useful but i certainly wouldnt use much money on it. i bought a POS car for 280 two years back for that - an estate with loads of room - didnt spend a penny on it for a year then scrapped for 40 quid. i'd suggest if you have the physical space for two cars then consider that route - allowing the C to continue its course and stay good. And for goodness sakes - dont put any eyesore manifolds on - best to get rid...
-
it really depends what you use/need the corrado for - a play car or a daily workhorse? let me know if/when your manifold is for sale :)

stunning wheels - must get some :) -
the day i start seeing people put that kind of tat on corrado's is an early warning to sell!
-
looking good! will catch up in a few weeks mate - got another week of the heat :)
-
anybody using the forum nowadays fitted the same climatronic system as described above? install for the diavia system looks straight forward with some effort as andy brookes described viewtopic.php?f=1&t=24242 but interested in the later (and potentially better) system.
-
have people read the latest thread on aircon setups? viewtopic.php?f=19&t=75287 - fitting climatronic control from a passat. considering something along this line myself after becoming used to aircon in my gf's car.

think youre missing the best road down to monaco - via the routes des alpes - from geneva to menton. very famous route that goes over all the major french alpine passes and mountain villages/resorts. i'd skip out paris/marseille/hours and hours of highway and head for the mountain roads - thats where the fun driving will be...
-
cant comment on the 268s but the 263s are excellent - improved the drive of my VR considerably. plus will suit you better long term if going turbo.
-
will go for one of the spoiler switches in the new year mate - but std green. think moving to red would be too hard with the center console. will pop over in the new year - good to see you the other day. have a good break
-
That pic above is easily the best of the bunch
-
I think only electric heated recaros in excellent condition should fetch the 700-800 mark - but as said above - you'd rightly expect exceptional quality to warrant paying that price. Will be putting a fully restitched dark charcoal gray leather interior up for sale after xmas... :)
-
what made you change to the speedlines?
-
interesting! is your friend making these as kits now?
-
or me ;)
