Just to conclude. I checked all of the wiring - everything seemed intact although I took some time to tape up any wires in places where chaffing may occur. I just unplugged the multi connector at the back of the instrument panel and reconnected - its been fine ever since. Not sure why this behaviour would start. Additionally - the buzzing/vibration is the pedal position sensor. Located on the back of the servo (i.e. accessible from the engine bay) - its a 65 quid part from VAG and 1 circlip holds it in place. Not cheap - but easily replaceable. Glad I didn't fork out for a pump...

I actually like that a lot...

see how much anger people have for the government... you only have to mention a few words. Any change has got to be good. Anyone voting for London Mayor?
-
I'll eventually take my savings elsewhere abroad. Whoever runs the country - you'll be working to pay off a mortgage for the majority of your life here. And get taxed several times over for everything else while you're at it.
-
Speaking of voting - Go Boris!
-
Great to meet finally the past Sunday Jonathan - love the car! Let me know when mapped and I'll pop down and see what I missed out on doing to my old G60! :)
-
Maybe they should test the vehicles GBrown uses to get around then - like his private flights for him and his team. I keep reading about ideas/plans officials have to ban cars that are over 10years old or similar... Singapore do that - once 10yrs old they're scrapped afaik. For me speaking personally, these sorts of things play a much great role in determining the Corrado's future than worrying about depreciation!
-
yeah I should also get back to work :D I think tax is in scope as it does have an impact on the Corrado's future - thats what we're talking about right - or it's the title anyway. When you read about people saying they'll keep them forever - that commitment is put to the test when the government are willing to tax you from every angle if you stay firm and keep it. And that certainly has a direct impact to the car's value - as the demand will be significantly reduced.
-
I can't believe the subject of road tax hasn't come into this conversation yet. Several hundred on road tax, rising fuel prices and insurance companies trying to put book value on it, plus the possibility of them being banned from city centers or at all due to age/pollution - doesn't that have a greater impact than the value of the car itself? I think some of the discussion so far is daft! And if the UK government continues this current trend - then the above will continue/happen sooner or later. I really don't see the Corrado as an asset and I don't give a monkeys about the rising/falling value of it as a) I like it and love driving it, and b) its not a £20k+ car - its valued less than a new Toyota Aygo. Moving to a newer car will result in adopting more credit/debt.

The 215's do offer great grip - i had those on my 7.5"s - lovely square profile and noticeably more aggressive than 205's. However that was on 16s with a 40 profile. I personally despise stretched tyres - and despite people insisting the cornering is not in any way hampered - I just can't believe those claims. Dirtysouth hit the nail on the head - its got to be either handling or looks.

Shaun - you're showing off now mate  You going to any shows/events? Would love to have a geek around the bay! Dave - thought the ATP manifold was just for LHD applications - or it worked if you switch the cold side of the turbo? Is this what you're using Shaun?
-
i thought you were going single turbo?!
-
black looks good imo. Dave - I would need to check...
-
thanks mate - didnt run it as it was only on rollers a week before - at the end i did ask vince to run mine for free but he told me to **** off :D LOL!!
-
thanks Dave. The radiator lugs, bonnet stand and seat pulls would be ideal.
-
Have you any of them available Dave? Or a list of things now? The radiator lugs, bonnet post and seat levers (underneath ones) for example...
-
i can't imagine 9s all round will ever give good handling. or 9s at all... also imagine your wheel bearings will need replacing more often due to the offset and width
-
Seen this car too - but didn't get to meet you on sunday for some reason! lovely car - was hoping it was going to the rollers though! :(
-
seen this the other day - lovely car! it'll soon be wearing some nice shoes ;)

LOL!! Won't be doing that for quite a while - so you can chill out for now fella ;) -
sounds like all the info i need LOL  Spot on Kev cheers

I think it may be shallower than the 12v. The pump has to be changed for that reason. The capacity is the same either way. So catching it shouldn't be a problem - touch wood never done it yet...

Well thats true yeah. But I've got to get the ball rolling mate ;) -
Just been to the local VAG dealers about the R32 sump. They said there are 2 sumps available with slight varying dimensions. Can anyone confirm which one to go for? There didn't seem to be any other factors separating the two... Hoping to complete the order tomorrow :)

@dukest - LOL! very much so!! I knew it was a bad idea seeing and hearing other kit ;) @Goldie - thanks a lot - but really I have to still credit Nick - until I do my work on it. Your car however made my jaw drop - outrageously clean! Awesome and sounds sublime. And to answer your question, quite probably! But not yet - will use the money for other things first. Looking forward to catching up soon - after Stanford Hall - as missed that one now.
