-
very difficult to get hold of a loom , the relays and switch are very expensive from the dealer , iirc the relays are £35 plus vat each easy to fit though , i did mine
-
take off the passenger side rear door card. there should be two relays, do you have a switch for the seats ?
-
tonytiger, if its just the spring then its a straight forward job mate
-
the hubs werent replaced with the bearings mate , i'll get them checked out cheers , sounds like a definite possibility
-
if the hub was running out would this show up as either wheel shake (feeling like poor balance) or by the tracking being out ? and why does it feel ok with a new discs then shows months later , i'm not disagreeing just trying to understand cheers
-

very stiff to pull out (ooh missus) and its all done by feelarama
-
bananawhip, iirc its a 25mm bolt holding the wheel on. the cable plastic holder is removed by squeezing the tab and pulling (difficult to explain) but if you get a look in there its fairly obvious
-
that is minty mate , what work do you need doing ? i do most of my own maintenance but wilsons in rhuddlan are very good , they've been doing dubs since the dinosaurs were around
-
no mate , the faces were surgically cleaned  , wouldnt special equipment be required to check for the run out ?
-
markievw, your rado sounds sweet i wouldnt give that up easily as there arent many around with that sort of mileage , good luck with the job hunt :thumbleft:
-
bad news about your job mate , esp at xmas but i suppose there isnt a good time really, i nearly lost mine last year when the place burnt down :-) i'm sure you'll find something in the new year, dont worry about the car - sometimes its best to walk away and calm down for a couple of days i find ;-)
-
A-J, nice one mate , whats wrong with the heater blower ? only works on no4 ?
-
nice one , good luck !
-
A-J, you've either got a poor connection , the battery is dead or the starter is stuck , put it in third gear rock the car backwards and forwards and try it again is the starter on or off the car ?
-
hmm why not keep the moonroof ?
-
very nice dave , is that a moonroof i see ;-)
-
wheel bearings were done approx 12 months ago , no droning either ho hum i'll see what i find :-( those calipers were a bargain ! it definitely feels warped you can feel it through the steering and the shaking slows as the car does , just waiting for the sun now so i can fit them ;-) cheers Supercharged,
-
they worked fine for about 5 months , it just makes me suspicious that it feels like the same side as before it doesnt seem to be getting hotter on one side or making any unusual noises how much were your calipers ? did you get vag ones ? cheers for the reply i have braided lines fitted , i was just going to check the pad sliders and springs and give them a clean ( i always copper grease the back of the pads)
-
would'nt have thought the battery would cause a grinding /grating noise from the starter but hey i'm never ceased to be suprised
-
8) £400 extra for xmas :-)
